What people like
- Helped lower handicap significantly for users
- Provides detailed stats on weak areas
- Useful data to guide practice sessions
What they complain about
- Misses shots and picks wrong clubs
- Requires constant manual editing after rounds
- Expensive yearly subscription with no monthly option
- Recent updates made the interface confusing
So far so good!
I don’t know how it works, but it works!
Steals money
Took $200 after i deleted it
iPad
When will there be an iPad app to review our stats?
Arccos Air
Arccoss air picks up random clubs that I have not used in a certain hole, also does not pick up putts. Most of it is good but Air seems to not work properly even though I still have the sensors in the clubs
Great but needed the ability to have multiple driver capability
Great but needed the ability to have multiple driver capability. Players nowadays need the ability to change driver every now and then. I have 3 spare drivers that I switch to. If I install sensors to each, I should be able to select the driver I need for a particular round and I can see the differences individually!
Works pretty damn good
Just need to add in penalty strokes but other than that pretty sweet!!!
Recent Update
A recent update has made the app almost unusable. I finish a round of golf hit save, then I go and look at the round and it’s 10 stroke less than what I just saved. None of this data means anything. Can you please revert back to the app from a few months ago?
Haislip
Was not accurate today
Map not updated!
Enjoy the app EXCEPT that our newly renovated course - NCR North - has the old map. Course opened in May. Other golf apps have upgraded the map months ago. I notified Arccos 10 weeks ago! Frustrating!
Too inconsistent
Far too often registers shots from clubs I don’t even take out of the bag. And at times registers wrong club. It’s okay but I’m not thrilled with it .Probably won’t pay for the yearly subscription next time mine is up.
Amazing stats and tracking
I am beyond appreciative about this app. It has given me so many tips and data points. This company is amazing. Not sure where all the bad reviews are coming in about. The app is clean and the yardages with wind and temperature are on point!
Go back to the prior version
In the old version, it showed my index based on my scores. Current version got rid of that and will only show my index if I pay to have an official USGA handicap.
I just wish…
Big fan of Arccos and longtime user. It does Almost everything right, albeit with a pretty steep subscription cost. That said, I wish it had a mechanism for me to track where I aim my shots. Dispersion input from an LM is great but seeing real world historical aim vs result for rounds would be amazing. Shot Pattern does this really well but I prefer Arccos automatic shot entry.
Glitchy and unintuitive
I dont think i have ever had an app more difficult to use. Its not very intuitive- findimg things or even just getting back to where you started can be a snipe hunt. But worst of all there are many dead ends. Get stuck in screens in the middle of a round that even closing the app wont fix.
Very good. Room for improvement
l would like larger font or numbers. Some screens are confusing. A more consistent exit or back button.
Awesome
The latest update is amazing. Great job Arccos
Vibe coded slop
I’ve been using arccos heavily for 3 years. I’m a data nut and loving looking at my stats after the round. Your new app is ai slop which was obviously vibe coded. There’s some cool new features but too much slop that doesn’t make sense. Bring back the old app while you clean up this new app. This is my last season with arccos if this app doesn’t get addressed.
Works well with some quirks
I’ve been a user for 2 years now. Love the Apple Watch integration. Club management can be a bit clunky. Unpaired sensor in your bag led to watch errors, though able to fix after talking to support. Not being able to transfer data to another club would be nice as well.
Arccos Loyal but
I have been using Arccos for a few years now and even bought the smart laser this winter. This latest app version is interesting but the older app had many features and displays I preferred better. I actually enjoyed seeing the Tour Quality recap after each round instead of just a list of Tour Quality shots. I preferred the strokes gained analysis on the old version too. As others have mentioned the font size is too small in this new app. I do appreciate some of the deeper insights the new app gives using AI, but it’s a little too busy for my liking now. I’ll probably adjust but not as excited to review my stats after every round as I used to be. Also, it would be nice to be able to use during a scramble without changing your stats. I deleted a scramble round I used the app for, but it still shows my record of 10 pars in a row (I wish I had done that on my own but…). Final comment, it should be easier to adjust and correct errors in the data. Just not enough user friendly options. Despite having all the items (Air, Laser, App), I may cancel all my subscriptions if I can’t get used to the new app.
Was great but losing its ways
At the core of arccos golf was the SG metric. All circled around it. The app was simple and effective in demonstrating how each part of your game, or club , contributed to it. To arccos’ credit they pushed the insights further with more intelligence, more detailed analyses per round, more guidance on how to improve… BUT the app has become o rely complex with conflicting messages AND it’s lost its way but losing or at least deprioritizing SG as the core guiding metric, pushed below the fold or mixed with many other metrics. Focus on the customer needs, not on keeping engineers busy
Si much cool data
I love this thing. The post round strokes gained/lost is so strong!!
Not worth it
I was given the system as a gift. I used it for a while, but it was buggy. I stopped using it. I was not aware there was an annual subscription, and was just charged $199 for a year for a product I don’t use. Worthless.
App works great most of the time
I hate that I have to have my phone on me so I do like pairing it to my watch but sometimes the watch app doesn’t work correctly and I wish there was a way to toggle back and forth from my phone to my watch. I hate setting up the round just on my watch.
New Update Is Horrible
New update is way too busy. AI slop is useless. Took away the visibility to see your handicap, see your top shots(at least the old way), pace of play is gone, other handicap features gone. Just a mess. Need a meld of the old and the new. New update is trying too hard.
Can ONE of these updates fix improper club marking!?!
Numerous emails to support; several subsequent updates since and yet my shots are still being improperly marked since the rebranding of Link Pro to Arccos Air. If I wanted Ai to guess what club I used rather than mark the one I acrually hit the shot with, I wouldn't have sensors on my clubs. Not renewing subscription of this isn't fixed by my renewal date.
Update of App
After having the application for several years I was thinking of dropping the subscription. With this latest update Arccos has taken it to the next level renewing my subscription is worth every penny. Particularly like the new warmup section and what to focus on in practice.
Newest update is bad
They have eliminated the ability to add simulator data. Using only on course data means more atypical shots are used. For example punch outs or half swings are now in the data set. This makes clubs that are obviously lower loft get recommended when they shouldn’t. For example it shows 6 iron is shorter than 7 iron. Without the ability to enter the simulator distances the club recommendation feature is wrong always. You have to manually remove shots to keep this from happening now. Also watch app is now saying there are no clubs paired when I have 2 full sets input in the phone app.
Good app, price plan needs review
Had the app for the free trial, helped me identify where i was dropping shots. Highlights some of the good shots you make which i liked. I would have paid for the subscription but not being able to pay monthly put me off.
Straight up disappointment!!!
Great concept. Unfortunately the execution is underwhelming and much of the information you should have been given while buying is withheld until the box arrives and is unpacked. Many unfulfilled promises. BE AWARE: You have to have your phone in your front lead pocket. A real annoyance. If you choose the iwatch option, even on full charge, you don’t have enough battery to complete the round. So the only real option is phone in pocket. What a joke. Also, you have to correct number of putts CONSTANTLY if you want to record actual score. Also, if you putt off the green it’s recorded as a putt, not a chip. I do not recommend this product. Be sure to return within the 30 days if you do buy this, as the company essentially washes their hands over customers concerns and doesn’t want to accommodate dissatisfied customers
Inaccurate
This app for the third year still missing too many shots! I also have 18Birdies and $100. It’s pinpoint accurate! And it gives you the same stats our goal needs to step up their game!
It’s like having a caddy
I love using Arccos, and I love using their smart rangefinder. The information that it gives you is priceless. I mean it’s gives you everything that you need.. I highly recommend it.
Bad update
Can no longer edit rounds after the round has “ended”. Please fix asap
Impressed
I’ve seen the reviews that complain about the sensors not working/pairing straight out of the box but I didn’t have any issues at all. I’m definitely a numbers person when it comes to golf, so knowing the correct distance for my shot is perfect. I still have a few rounds to complete to get the best data but I can already see what area of my game requires attention. There are tips to get the most from the sensors and improve the game in weak areas and these are good tips and drills for range practice. I have already seen improvements from just two rounds and some practice on my weaker areas. I wouldn’t have realised were my weaknesses were except for the more obvious ones but the numbers don’t lie and I am able to work with the data to improve the other areas highlighted by app. Overall I think I will have a huge improvement in my performance over the next few months. Brilliant!
Friends activity still broken
One of the main features has been broken for 2 years. Friends activity shows all the wrong clubs and no longer allows one to share and view rounds with their golf buddies. The social aspect of the app was one of the reasons our golf group originally signed up with Arccos. And it’s been gone. I’m the only one left. The data is great and allows us to improve, but the social aspect is what keeps some people engaged and paying for the app.
Watch doesn’t track - Expensive
1. The watch doesn’t really work to track shots. I tried it for maybe 10 rounds and it missed so many shots I gave up and bought the Link Pro (now Air). 2. The rangefinder’s selling point is wind, but in practice the wind reported is very different than the wind on the course. 3.Even with the Link, you need to check and edit the tracking after every hole, or immediately after the round as it is never 100% accurate. 4. The first year is free, then it’s $300/yr if you also have the rangefinder.
Don’t golf without it
This thing is amazing! I have used it for 3 years and have tracked 23k shots with it. I was a 12 handicap when I started and now I am a 3. Arccos helps me with knowing where I need to practice.
Free year trial bogus
Free year trial with bundle doesn’t work. Credit card was charged 199. Syncing with USGA doesn’t work. Tech support non existent. Called and was hung up on 3 times after exactly 15 mins. Emails to support desk unreturned after 4 days. Really disappointing.
Doesn’t display clearly on IPhone 12 mini
The display does not shrink to fit the iPhone mini screen size so there are sections of the data that are difficult to read. As a result I can’t read some of the stats as I cannot pinch to shrink or scroll to make it visible.
Latest Update
The latest update is absolute trash. I have now played 4 rounds since the update, the club tracking is inconsistent and the UX/UI experience is an utter mess. As a mobile software engineer and UX developer this is by far the worst update that could have come from this application. Looking for alternatives even if I just go to a manual shot tracking app.
Not capturing my distances with air
The laser and air device are fine but it is not picking up my distances by club. Multiple rounds and it still grabs random clubs with known distances . Frustrating because it is not play and forget it.
Range finder extraordinare
Very consistent and with the app is so solid
Too many bugs and issues
Great idea in theory, but the app has way too many issues when calculating stats or putting the club data together. For example, I’ve hit dozens of tee shots with my driver. But when I go to the “club data” and look at my driver data, it’s showing shots from the bunker and rough, and not even giving me the option to include actual real drives that I know are tagged correctly. Or looking at my putting stats from a round, it shows that I didn’t make anything longer than 1ft. Despite checking the round data and confirming that I correctly mapped distances much longer than 1ft. These issues pop up everywhere, all the time. It needs to be much better for something so expensive.
Arccos review
Sadly I’ve not been able to play too much at moment but I have had these for almost a year now and as some previous reviewers have mentioned, it has missed the odd shot. Nothing is perfect in the world of apps and this is in my opinion one of the best apps on the market. I have the screw on sensors and no issues at all, always check on taking club out and check on putting away and have never lost one. The stats are superb and informative. I have used the garmin ct10 and they are also good but not as comprehensive as arccos. Expensive membership? Yes! Worth it? Depends on what you want from an app and know where your game needs to improve. Nothing is free these days and arccos do carry out regular updates. There are negatives to the app in so much as it can be fiddly at times in regard to adding or removing shots, penalties etc. this is more I think user error on my behalf, however I do struggle with it at times. I use my phone as I have found the link too unreliable and difficult keep attached without adding a lanyard. Some have mentioned placing on your shoelaces sand I have not tried this yet. Hopefully getting an Apple Watch soon so will see how that goes. Go for a 45 day trial, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed but if you are just cancel. 45 days is a good amount of time to make a informed decision on the product. Just remember that some functions will not work until you have played at least 90 holes (5 games) .
Not Good Enough for $100 a year
I have brand new sensors that only have maybe 10 rounds on them. This app/sensors will miss soft shots around the green but they also will miss shots that you pure from time to time. Every round I have to edit my shots because it will miss a few. Putting is the worst by far. There’s also no green slope maps. It will also suggest clubs that are not correct. I’d say, on average, I will almost always club down one club from what this app suggests to me. Other apps do this better. I won’t be renewing my subscription after this one runs out.

Scoring is not accurate. This is still alot of work at the end of the round to fix scores. Dont believe the hype
Absolutely incredible
I just played with this for the very first time, it was absolutely incredible. An amazing device to have and highly recommended.
Watch out!!!
They don’t tell you there’s a massive subscription required to use the products! And who plays with their phone in their pocket? Just stupid.
Awesome Product
Just started playing golf regular in May, using arcoss since then, started on Handicap 17.1 now 13.7 thank you arcoss!
New update is too difficult to read for anybody over the age of 40
Fonts are so small that you cannot read them without a pair of glasses on anymore. Very poor understanding of the golf market to have made such a design decision.
Poor Tracking of the course.
Poor tracking of the course.
