Awesome
I use the Grint 2-3 times a week, so do my friends and golf partners. Uploads my score to GHIN without fail. Allows my group to follow each other’s scores and trash talk when appropriate. Highly recommend.
Buggy
Lost all round stats because playing partner didn’t have grint. So when trying to save the round I received the error “can’t post round if “has” 8 empty holes “. Waste of time glad I didn’t purchase subscription.
Freezes
Great app, but freezes when trying to add new golfers

App Crash
Can we please look into the app crashing? Trying to add friends or perform anything other than scoring isn’t working properly. It’s a great app, but these issues are making it difficult to use. Hopefully we can get an update out as soon as possible.
TheGrint is Great
I started using TheGrint it has a great UI to track your score and advanced stats like puts, etc. It has a GPS feature that provides distance to the pin as well as the ability to manually measure distances on each hold. Once I record my round it automatically loads it up to GHIN for my handicap. This is a top app.
Worst update ever
Don’t pay to upgrade. Get another app. Wish I can give negative stars. Whatever they have done in some of the latest updates is so bad. Have talked to support. I have been patient for updates. But despite updating latest version it’s a mess. Got so frustrated today while playing a round it actually impacted my game since I was annoyed and distracted and had the worst round in 3 weeks. - GPS feature keeps crashing the app within a minute. - won’t work with Apple Watch anymore properly. It used to be just fine. It just ignores the score on Apple Watch and doesn’t record. Won’t advance to the next hole either after I enter the score. - doesn’t load my clubs. So I can’t track distances. It loads all generic clubs including hybrids and clubs I don’t even own. These are just the issues I have noticed so far. Today I ended up using free version of 18Birdies that was fine - even worked with Apple Watch. I used to be a long time GolfLogix user and switched to Grint last year as my friends are on it. Bad mistake !!
Grint Crashes
My Grint app keeps crashing everytime I click on someone's profile picture, Click on comment button under the scorecard, or just trying to click my own profile. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. Updated my iphone to latest SW as well but nothing seems to work. I tried logging on my computer and it is working fine. Not sure what is happening as this started happening a couple of days back.
GPS issues
Can never truly see where I am. GPS shows me miles away from where I really am. Very frustrating

The basic version is great on a mobile but the pro version is awful (don’t pay for it) it doesn’t work on a Apple Watch
Could be better
This is my main golf tracking app for handicap purposes, but the UI is terrible. Want to search for/preview a course you’re playing tomorrow? It will take you 5 minutes to remember where the search is. Want to post a complete scorecard after a round? Too bad, you’re stuck with “round stats”. God forbid you add someone to your scorecard, something will go wrong with it every time. I like the app, it’s just confusing and hard to navigate. It could be a lot better.

Where are my completed rounds?
I played a 9 hole course and tried to review the score card the following day. Found that I was not able to locate any previously completed rounds.
Love the vibe and feel of the app
Great overall layout and HUD that shows things in a very easy on the eye manner, best in its class in that regard, would just appreciate elevation and wind in the free version like its competitor 18 birdies and keep plays like to the premium.
Not Happy ☹️
I’m unable to save practice rounds without posting to automatically to the USGA site. When you upload privately the score still goes to the USGA site and has played havoc with my handicap.
Frustrating
The app, needs to be more friendly to users that play with friends that use different tee colors, once you start and didn’t put the right color you can’t change it unless you start all over again, and if another player is also on the grint just to keep his score then is a hassle to remedy the double use of the score by 2 players.

Horrid programming
I don’t even have time to list the issues I have with this app relative to glitches, but I’ll list a few. Automatically starts rounds at the wrong course. At the BEGINNING of rounds, the app automatically fills all 18 holes with a score that cannot be deleted and renders the app useless for that day. Better luck tomorrow. My friends and I started using this app in 2023, and now are pigeon holed into using it in perpetuity because changing to a better functioning app would outweigh the inconvenience of sticking with this app.
Needs Stand alone apple watch support
It would be nice to be able to start a round on the apple watch completely independent from the iphone app. I’m a long time Grint user but the Tag Heuer app does this currently so i’ll be switching. I leave my phone in my bag and rely solely on my cellular connected ultra apple watch gps during the round. Less distractions and it is almost like having a Garmin S70. It would be nice if I could get a similar experience on Grint because I like the features compared to Tag Heuer but the Tag app is more minimalist and less distracting during the round .
Outdated UI
Really want to try it out but can't accept how bad the UI looks, stayed with 18birdie
Needs an update
The app is good for the most part, good stats when it works and activity feeds. But I keep having problems adding new friends, or actually starting and finishing a round, also linking it with my Apple Watch is annoying, it keeps saying “start the round on your phone”, but the round has started, so it doesn’t sync properly it seems. I keep getting “General Error” as an error message. The last thing you want to do is keep your playing partners waiting while you mess around on your watch/phone. Would rate 5 stars if the bugs got solved!
Accurate and link to GHIN
I really like The Grint: it is easy to use on the course and enables you to capture stats. The link to GHIN really helps keep my handicap accurate.
App can’t locate the course you are playing
It’s happened twice now in Ocala Florida with two different courses, when I open the app it says I’m at a course 20 or 30 miles away. GPS on my phone is fine and when I open a different Golf app it recognizes instantly which course I’m on , It’s frustrating because I like the app , I’ve written twice customer support. And so far the problem is unresolved.
Works well
Works well enough on my iPhone 16, but while I have paid for the subscription, the green map on my Apple Watch only shows “sample” which is a little frustrating. When playing in a foursome, it’s tricky to be fumbling with my phone to get a green map, when I should be putting. Other than that one issue, I like using this app a lot!
Randomly Starting on Apple Watch!
Keeps randomly opening and starting the app on my Apple Watch and it’s driving me nuts! Love the app outside of this but this needs to be fixed immediately…
Doesn’t recognise Golf England Handicapp

Great app
I really like this app a lot it’s got a ton of features that I really like. It been very handy when looking at yardages and slopes of the green to know where you can miss. It’s also great that you can pull up courses before playing them. There are some features that I don’t use that are just not relevant to my game. I did give this app 5 stars which it deserves, but there are some features that I wish it did have. Maybe in the future we will see it maybe not. But will continue using this app.
New updated app
I’m not a fan of the new updated app. Can’t find a way to delete a course from my “Top 5 Courses” … one that I haven’t played. Frustrating.
Great golf app
This app has a lot of features for free. Shot tracking, front middle back distances, being able to move spot to hazards to get your distance, 100/150/200 color coded rings to give visual layup perspective. Yardage seems to be 3-5 yards off depending on course but overall I would recommend!

Love the Grint but having issues
I use my iPhone and Apple watch. The last month the Grint has been posting up to 30 Golf sessions to my Apple activity. I will need to just stop using the app with my watch until this is fixed.

Fix your bugs
I’ve enjoyed this app without issue since 2021. This year with all these Grint ambassadors now, they have went away from maintaining the app and went towards growing it. Leaving longtime loyal fans behind. This year I’m constantly having issues where I can’t join a linked round. Or when playing 9 hole all 18 holes worth of handicap are on the page. Last 3 times out in the last 2 weeks I haven’t even been able to use the app it’s been so messed up. I used to really enjoy the app. I think it’s been a big part of lowering my handicap 5 strokes with the advanced stats. I’ve also gotten all my friends to use this app. Please fix this. Have reported multiple issues multiple times this year. Even after bug fix updates it’s still messed up.
Great App
I love using TheGrint to track my scores. What you get for free is amazing. I don’t golf enough to use the Pro side to its full potential and probably don’t golf enough either. The only thing that could be changed is to have a 12 hole option created for certain courses. My local course I play has just recently changed from 18 to 12 and I can’t get a proper scorecard now to track my play. Otherwise keep up the great work with the app.
Not a Great App
Purchased this for use with my Apple Watch. Constantly not connecting properly, and when connected, making inaccurate (wildly inaccurate - like 50 yards) GPS numbers. Uninstalled, updated, still not good. 18 Birdies much better.
Grint = great app
TheGrint offers a ton of features. Even the free version has enough to get any golfer started. Yes the premium side is loaded with features. I find the price a little steep only because I live in Canada so can only use the on course feature for 5-6 months a year. If I was living in let’s say Florida and could use it all year I would have given it 5 stars.

Still broken with Apple Watch
5 star app once they fix the issues they are having with Apple Watch and shared rounds. All year long watch isn’t syncing or sometimes will allow to enter scores, group members not able to enter scores in shared rounds. Really buggy right now. Happening to multiple members of our group.

Fix the login !!
You guys need to fix the login process. Kicks you out all the time and you have to re-login even through rounds! So frustrating Add faceID or something better

Keeps Track of Everything Golf
Glitchy mess.
It keeps importing old rounds scores from completely different courses on the second or third hole. Happened the past four rounds. App is supposed to be a fun augment not something you have to correct and worry about scores changing. Uninstalled.
Great app for scoring & distances
Only issue why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is when you link a round with another grint player who wants to use the app for distances while the other scores it bugs out and will wipe scores off the score card putting it down as a par
