Amazing support!
Tried several apps and this one takes the cake! Easy to use especially when paired with a watch! Wow! So much great information! No need for the range finder! Support is outstanding as well. My home course recently changed hole order … on a whim, I decided to reach out and see if I could get someone to help. Had it fixed in 24 hours! Just awesome! Do yourself a favor and download. You will not be disappointed!

Deal Breaker
GolfPad Review: I started using GolfPad when it first came out. I really liked it as it gave basic distances—front, middle, back of green—and kept score easily but for only one person. Then it added scoring for up to 4 people, and over time eventually the geeks took over, changing the interface and adding bells and whistles endlessly. It became quite frustrating when I didn’t play golf from November to April to be on the course for a new year and not be able to figure out all the changes while trying to play a round of golf. I eventually gave up on it about a year ago, but have not been able to find a simple, basic golf app, while most want a subscription to get endless bells and whistles that have little to do with playing golf, like posting photos, sharing online, etc. So, I recently decided to give GolfPad another go. I also purchased an Apple Watch 11 in January, and with the other apps I’d tried, it was convenient to have distances on my wrist. So, when I set up GolfPad, started a round and discovered I could not use it on my watch without granting access to my Health App. Now, this an true deal breaker! Why on earth would I share sensitive medical information with a gold app? It could at least be optional for those who maybe don’t even use Health, but for me at age 74, Health stores all my prescription drug information and a multitude of health data that is protected under HIPPA laws. Should have thought that one through folks. So, still looking for a simple, basic distance and score keeping golf app. Or, waiting for GolfPad to realize the error of their ways.
Clubs
I believe this app could do with some tweaks in the club area. I want to be able to put my carry distance down for each club, so that when I’m playing a round it can suggest the correct club based on my carry distance. The app is really good, but I think this addition would take it up a notch more so and help towards a lot of people’s games.
Love It!
Have you used this app all over the Midwest, and have often times used it with people in my group or my pairing. We all enjoy it, especially the premium version!
Upgrade Version
I purchased the upgrade so I could post direct to my GINN Handicap system. This feature isn’t working for me since I can’t verify my email address. The app crashes and support isn’t very helpful.
6 Years and counting
I’ve had GP since I started playing golf 6 years ago. I love it. GP Tags aren’t great and you also can’t buy them individually for when they fail. I do wish that you could add tee boxes to courses. Ie winter courses and ad hoc changes.
Ruined
Another update - another way to release a broken app. The Watch app now never gets a location so is effectively unusable coz it doesn’t know where you are. If they employ testers to make sure it works before every release, you need to employ better ones. This app has been destroyed with the latest few release. It used to be the best golf gps app on the market - bar none. Recent updates have ruined it tot the point where it crashes regularly, Watch sync no longer works, it won’t save any scores for anyone other that the user, you can’t edit scores once you’ve recorded them any more coz it just won’t save - utter rubbish!! To the developer - pls revert the code to the version from about 8 weeks ago before your updates wrecked it.
Recent Update
Have been using this app for years and it is by far the best around. The recent update however seems to have restricted the ability to compare particular round stats against all rounds. Instead, when going into the stats for the round you simply get the overall stats. Disappointing.
Got to be the BEST!
This app…at this price…for a premium app is amazing. It does everything that the higher tiered apps will do and more you can even post your USGA GHIN scores that keeps/uodates your Handicap right through the app. Amazing job GolfPad team. Keep up the good work. PS- This is NOT a paid advertisement… it’s a true assessment of the app, and I’ve tried them all. Get it and you won’t be disappointed.

Since the update it skips ahead a hole and Is the most annoying thing while your playing

Fix not working
The current update which ‘fixes the Apple watch battery drain issue’ has done no such thing. Freshly charged watch was dead by the 14th hole - please fix and soon - my subscription is due soon and I have a decision to make about this.
Missing Green Grid on Courses
I got this app cause I wanted to get away from Golfshot GPS. Loaded it up and went to play and non of the courses within 25 miles have the green grid. Golfshot GPS has the green grid on all the major course within that same range. Note to developer - get Golfshot GPS and copy it or look up the Lidar maps for these courses and include the green grid. Maybe it’s because I’m in Canada (Nanaimo, BC) and you don’t have this area covered but if you ever do, I’d be happy to try the app again.
Best golf app - I’ve used them all
Like the title says, I’ve downloaded and paid for all the popular golf apps over the years. Golf Pad is by far the best. It’s accurate, works on my Apple Watch. My favorite things about the app: being able to export the raw data into a csv file. I’m a data guy so being able to play with my own data however I want is awesome. If you don’t care for that, the stats already provided are more super useful. The thing that keeps me on this app as opposed to a competitor, is is UX/UI. It’s simple and straight forward on the phone and on the watch. This is so important to me during a round, the less “clicks”, button, screens, menus, the better. No need for fancy graphics. GHIN connections is also very useful. No more entering my score on a different app to track my official world handicap.
Ruined
Display on watch only shows waiting for location. All other watch apps are using my location correctly. Was this not tested before release?
New update
The new update is nice but a bit fiddly. Not a good idea to find a new interface on the course.

Great Easy app
What an easy to use. Golfing buddy told me about it. Been using it for two years now. I sold my rangefinder I could never get that thing to work well. no matter where you’re standing on the course this app shows you the yardage to the front of the Green middle and back. All I need
Waiting for location
Simply doesn’t work on my Apple Watch which always says “waiting for location” after starting a round. I have given permissions etc.
Very good app but can’t pair with Apple Watch
It’s a really good app and would have 5 stars, but I pay for the premium and I’m unable to pair it with my Apple Watch. I’ve tried everything and I’m unable to use it through my watch
Apple Watch issues
When you track your first shot after arriving to your ball from the tee, the distance doesn’t appear after you track your shot. It works on your second shot and on. Only way to see how far you hit it from the tee is to open the map in the app and drag your finger back to the tee block and see how far you are. Or subtract the start distance to current
Decent- but doesn’t fully confirm
The app and data is great, really usable and easy to use. Be careful though- the free version doesn’t confirm if you enter the club used- it displays how far you hit the last couple of shots which is not allowed which kinda causes problems as you can then only use the function for entering clubs used in friendly games. Easiest option here would be to modify the app so it doesn’t display last shot distances when regulation mode is turned on.
Great App
I have used this app for a few years and it is great! Easy to use and accurate. I recently had an issue as my course switched the front and back nines. After this it wouldn’t automatically post the score to GHIN. I contacted them and received a response within one day on how to resolve the issue. It was a very easy fix. Good customer service is rarely found but theirs was great.
Majorly Disappointed
Bought this with high expectations after looking at reviews but what a flop. After few holes no longer any confidence for yardage to flag. Maps would show flag in totally different area than what I was playing. Yards may be correct but layout different. Or yards wouldn’t match. So thought well it can just keep track of my score, wow what a failure. It would at scores to different holes. Then when trying to change wouldn’t allow me to or would change a hole that was already completed on front 9. So freaking frustrating. Now only waisted about 30 dollars on this app so live and learn. Was using a different app for a year because of discounted rate but when they went up to 100 dollars decided to try this. I will now test a different one. Can’t say enough how terrible this app is. Bad maps, bad scoring, watch giving same bad info, so hard to work with. Adjusting your flag layout option what a joke. When you’re playing golf very hard to be messing with a stupid, non user friendly app. Hate this thing.
Great App -How do we request course updates?
I love using this app - the resolution of the flyovers is so good - you can spot any hazard. The course I regularly play on has had a lot of work done and 1 or 2 of the holes have changed. How do I get these changes into the app? Also the course looked like a building site when you grabbed the photographs of the holes, can this be re-done too? Overall, great app and great integration with Apple Watch.
Change of group rounds
I used to love the app made scoring in groups really easy now they have changed to live leaderboards and it just works terrible! £16 is ok but bring back group rounds

Easy to use!
I’ve been using this for 3 weeks. Our club has changed front & back so the GHIN GPS isn’t working. My friend told me about this app and I love it. Gives you front, middle & back distance free. The GHIN app doesn’t do this unless you pay $49.99. This app premium is $29.99 and with that you can post your score directly to GHIN.
Even worse After Latest Upgrade. Lots of bugs!
After the latest update, my GolfPad app on my watch does not sync with my phone properly and I lose scored for a round/hole unless I enter them in manually. The app crashes on my iPad when I try and see Strokes Gained and opens multiple pages. It’s clear they focused on a web-app link that isn’t working well for the app and only on the website. In my iPhone, parts of the scorecard and map doesn’t work properly. They have been working on Maps for the Apple Watch for ages and since last year with still no release- shows the issues they have!! Super disappointed and do not recommend $30 for the annual membership. So many bugs and issues!
Lovely app - needs work
Firstly I believe this is the best tracking app on the market and for £20 a year it’s nothing compared to £30-75 for a round of golf for 4 hours.. I do think the Apple Watch compatibility is good. However, it doesn’t allow you to start and end rounds on your watch it just mimics what’s one the app screen, if there was more options on the watch it would be better. Overall great app, can’t wait for updates

New version considerably worse
In the latest version of the app (July 2022) the developers have removed the group round feature and replaced it with live leaderboards. Despite the claims made in the version notes, this was a terrible decision. In the previous version (group rounds) you could see your mates hole-by-hole score in the app during the round. Now, I can’t figure out how to do that at all. It seems you can do it at the end of the round with about 5 convoluted steps and navigating out of the app to an in-app launched webpage. I still find the app pretty good for individual play at shot tracking, but this significant backwards step suggests to me that the developers have lost the plot. My recommendation is to look elsewhere if group play is your preferred mode.

Used to work great on my Samsung watch since switching to Apple Watch app only works for 1 shot then screen goes black and will not respond Contacted help team who much like there app don’t respond.

Great app and easy to use both on the course and to check up on history etc. Had a technical problem and received great support. Would seriously recommend to other golfers.

App was really good but since recent changes to the way it lays out stats and graphs it’s gone down hill. Also only collates stats from last 50 rounds now. Please go back to the old lay out!

Great App
As a beginner to golf, this has helped a lot with score tracking, shot selection and club distance history. As soon as I started using it I’ve reduced my game on average by 7 shots for every 9 holes.

Been using this app for a few years and it does work well for a free app, but after recently playing a few comps with other members, Im finding the distances are 10-20 yds short compared to what their GPS devices are saying. I was stood at a 150 marker and app was saying 138 to the middle. Im not sure I can trust the accuracy anymore
Lady Golfer
I’ve used Golf Pad for several years. My son told me about it. It’s great! Really helpful on any course I play. Got notified I haven’t used it in past 60 days but that’s because I had shoulder problems and then surgery. I will be back on the course very soon. Thanks to Golf Pad for making shots easier.
Too clumsy
Watch and phone don’t move holes together and keep in sync easily. Have to use both devices on the course. Spent more time trying to keep the app in sync with the round than I did concentrating on my golf. Going back to using my garmin watch!!
Hole ratings
The golf pad is a great app that offers so many features it’s also, easy to use the one thing I love about it is that it doesn’t freeze up. How ever the one thing it doesn’t have is an indication of the hole rating so, If your playing stableford or par you have no knowledge of the hole rating this is, frustrating. Hopefully they are working on this issue and will come up with the goods very soon by the way, you can, swipe left and there you will see the hole rating. Overall, I highly recommended . For the price of this app you cant and will not go wrong. Enjoy. Charles Perri
Apple Watch
Hi there, I like the app but even when I switch off location through my phone app my apple watch is continually trying to find holes as well as my watch going flat (brand new). After each round of golf I’m needing to delete app off watch until I play again. Hope this is of some help in regards to your next update.
