I accidentally deleted this game. I had five sections opened. But when I downloaded it again it starts me from the beginning. I don’t want to start over.

iOS update just erased years of progress — thanks for absolutely screwing us Big Fish. What’s the point of “connecting” to Game Center or other cloud service if the game can’t back up progress?

I have really enjoyed playing this game but now I can’t seem to move forward unless I have a lot of coins to open new areas. I think I’m going to move on to another game.

Do not Download
Do not download if you have a mobile device! Lost all my progress (level 120) when trying to perform the update. The update put me back to level 1! When I contacted Big Fish Games I was told they do not provide support to mobile devices, only PC and Mac. My wife had this happen a couple of years ago and all she has to do was provide her ID number and they were able to get her back to where she was. I did that but was told they do not provide support to mobile devices. Why would they provide an app to play the game on my Apple iPhone and then not provide any support??? Played the game for years now it’s gone. Thanks Big Fish for nothing!

Gave up playing on level 71 as it didn't progress for months. Looked at it again recently and now on 74 but surprise surprise it now not advancing yet again. Appreciate how clever ghosts and pumpkins are but why have an ongoing story at all. Have found Titanic and Scary tales games and progressing without setbacks on both. Such a pity as graphics are beautiful but ones patience runs out over time.

Lost my game at level 149
Very disappointed that support have not come back after 3 weeks, so far. Gave them my id and name and I cannot access my game. 9 years I have been playing tMidnight Castle and have spent money on this. The three stars are for the quality of the game.
Midnight Castle
I’ve been playing since the game was fairly new. As of May 22, 2026, there still is no update for iOS. My guess is that it will be discontinued soon, but who knows, right? I started a new game recently on my iPhone, but with the growing difficulty of old age, I had to give it up. Although I’m still playing on iPad, I’m not very hopeful Apple will continue to support it. It’s a shame because it was an intriguing game for quite a while. In the last two or three years, the game hasn’t progressed like before, and I’m losing interest. I would love to see someone take ownership of it. Maybe they could turn it into something worth playing. Until then, I’m hanging on by a thread.
Game is not downloading
Love playing this game. It will not download the current update content. All I get is the part saying that it is downloading the characters/pets and story. I know the Halloween event is starting and would love to play it. Would give it a five but not able to play game. Did contact tech support but haven't heard back from them. Still giving it a one star. Same issue. The spring event has not downloaded on the iPad. It is already day nine. My android got the download for the spring event so what is holding up the iPad download?

Spring Challenge 2026
I was so disappointed during the spring challenge I was unable to download the Castle Challenge after numerous attempts. I was unable to compete for Fairy of Dreams or Anabel with Bows. Although I enjoyed the spring challenge, after waiting so long for it, it was both annoying and disappointing that I could not complete the Castle Challenge due to it not downloading.
May 2026 update?
Understand that a recent update was put out for ipad players but after checking several times over the last few days find no evidence of one. Was one issued and how are the new game owners rolling it out?

Just to let newbies know that big fish games will not be updating since elephant games dropped out. I’ve read that they are concentrating on money makers. So there will be a letdown when you reach the end.

This game is the best and I have been a member of bfg since the beginning. I think I have 25 pages of games I have bought and I keep losing my points that I've paid for but I just let it go because I get to play this game. The best game for any age. My granddaughter remembers playing it with me when she was little (her go to is the Nancy drew games). She is gonna be 27 in may. 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️😘❤️

Good game however I don’t like like that you have to earn so much coins and for the amount of time I’ve been playing this games (years!) it would be nice to get a bonus sometimes in good faith for sticking it out with the game for years !
Where are the devs? This game is repetitive and dull
I’ve been playing this game on and off for over 10 years. At first I enjoyed it, but the more you play other games like Gardenscapes and Lily’s garden, the more I think the devs have given up on this game and moved on, and it’s become repetitive and dull. Other games have additional games to play along side the main one, with competitions to join and being able to interact with other players if you want. Whilst this one does include a theme of sorts, it’s exactly the same as the last except it’s just christmas themed, halloween themed or easter themed. Search the same area a million and one times to gather coins - no thanks! I only go in now to spin the two wheel games. I’m utterly bored! If you don’t play Gardenscapes, give it a go, it’s fascinating, unlike this game!

What’s happening!
I love this game. I’m 63 years old and this game has helped my memory. But as of last night I cannot log in! I was pretty far into the game too and had 97 diamonds! I deleted the game and reinstalled it and no luck. I get a message saying it can’t log into the server. Every other app has no issues at all. If I ever am able to get back in I really hope I haven’t lost my game and my diamonds. Help!
Where are the brown tickets?!?!?
I have played for hours and explored way over 100 hidden objects puzzles and not one brown ticket. This is definitely not a fun game anymore. What’s the point if you can’t advance? Thinking of giving up. I’ve played this game for several years but never been this frustrated with it. Fix it developers.

Takes money to play……..
I have two original CD disc versions of this game I purchased at Walmart years ago along with DarkStone. You wouldn’t believe the difference. No stuff to buy, no money extortion and I have completed all realms twice and started again. This app stinks! I thought it would be newer, more amazing but no. The makers have turned it into a nice piggy bank.

I love this game! The rooms are well designed. However, on my end, when you are given the task to catch ghosts, the ones that are supposed to be caught never show up. I’ve been through all the rooms that I have opened and I see everything except for the task given. What’s up with that? I have tried waiting, catching what I don’t need and wait for the next one. Still what I need never shows up. Last night when I played they actually came up and I thought YAY they fixed the problem. But today it’s right back. What’s the point when you are given the task and everything but what you need shows up. Please advise or fix please?

Where are the holidays been playing for five years and all of a sudden no special bonus screens. Why can’t I get this game to load all of sudden.,! Player for 10 years, had over 1 million coins, at level 141, 2000 diamonds. Game crashed , finally reloaded at level 1. Do not spend your time or money investing in this game!!!!!!
Update
So to go further in the game, it says update needed. I have tried all day to update, 7 hours, nothing happening, 0 % update all day. circle just going round and round. I have been playing since day 1 got over 2.000.000 coins and 5.000 crystals, so I’m not deleting so game will start again.
No floating spirits
Game was supposed to have an update to give us the Christmas event. A lot of us got a small update, not the big one required to play the new event! Update not available, no floating spirits, it has been days and still no fix to this problem. Meanwhile the event is going on without us. Similar mess happened during the Halloween event and a lot of people never got to finish it. All that work and time for nothing. Very sad!

This game is gorgeous! Takes my mind off anything I’m stewing over, beautiful graphics, and I have never had any issues with it not working. I always update my apple software and close program down completely before doing any updates and I think this is key to smooth downloads. I’ve looked at other hidden object games and nothing compares. Love this game and hope adventures continue as I am at top level and have been playing 3 years.
Game crashed
Game crashed while playing upon restart said to update game, now it says my game is already saved to a later version and won’t load. Contacted support with no response.
Why isn’t mail working?
All of a sudden I am no longer receiving mail from team mates? I’ve contacted the helpline but they have not offered a solution, so frustrating 😡 also still on Christmas in January with another 30+ days of it! What is going on.
Longtime player
I have been playing this game for years, and I still play everyday . But not nearly as long as I used to because it’s become very boring. Absolutely no story, just repetitive scenes with no challenge. However, the artwork is still lovely! I don’t plan to delete it anytime soon, but how about adding some interest !
Downloads take an eternity
I enjoyed the game itself, but there are downloads every 1-2 weeks that take too long to update. After about 5 minutes of downloading my device would go to sleep and I’d have to restart the download process. The third time I gave up and deleted the app

I love the Midnight Castle game. I’ve been playing with friends and family for a long time and recently began playing with my grandchildren. It is fun, challenging and beautifully illustrated. It is truly one of the only family games that anyone can play.
