Online transfers
When making an online transfer, there should be a line to add reason for transfer. Example: to pay contractor, to order shoes, or to pay phone bill, etc
Downhill
Ever since Renesant took over from The First, it’s been all downhill. The ATM in Saraland doesn’t work half the time and the mobile app is a constant headache!
App functionality
It has been the biggest hassle setting up. And transferring money from one acct to the other bank.
Wanted to hate it
Renasant took over my local bank and i just opposed it so much that i barely used the app. However, once i came around, I realised that the app is super intuitive and very modern for a banking app.
Overdraft fees
The computer and higher up are scamming people with to many overdraft fees you look at your APP and it is not calculated the same on your phone and it is not calibrating correctly and you think you have money then it changes the next day. It is never right. It is a glitch so they can charge more money. As a member showing that I put the b thousands every week. A $200.00 ,$150.00 , $50.00 dollar charge should be covered and a phone call. With a 24 hour amount of time to fix it. If not then do not let it through. You don’t just keep charging the client 6 overdraft fees what the Hell. 🤯🤯🤦it’s not elementary it’s called a SCAM…..
Deposit
It does not make clear that you can deposit taking a picture of a check until you get through the process. You should let people know when doing a deposit, taking a picture as an option. I was trying to figure out how to deposit using the camera. I just feel it could be made clearer. That’s all thank you😊 I was thinking you did not offer this option
App regression
UPDATE - May 2026: My card was recently compromised and used out of state. I stopped using the card controls because of my previous review. But had I been ABLE to use it, those transactions would not have gone through. Thanks a lot, Renasant. Things are not going well since the integration of the banking app with the card app. The card app worked while the banking app has issues. Now that they’re one and the same I get constant “couldn’t load card” errors. I expect growing pains with big changes, but this has gone on for over a month now. App QC isn’t a strong point with Renasant. If you lock down transaction types like I do, you may not be able to enable them when needed. So a major function of the now integrated app is pretty much worthless.

Button for balance Inquiry
I think when you log in and just want to see your balance. There should be a button to select just to see your balance without logging all the way complete in the app

AFTER THIS, BANK TOOK OVER FROM THE FIRST BANK IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET THINGS GOING, BUT THEY SEEM TO HAVE STRAIGHTENED EVERYTHING OUT AND NOW IT’S A PLEASURE TO BANK AT RENASANT
No longer works on iPhone 8
With Zero warning, I went to use my app around April 11 only to discover it no longer works on my phone. I’ve called customer service and they had no knowledge about this either so that was of no help. Feels as though I’m being forced into an expensive phone upgrade just to get my banking info. No thanks, guess I’ll have to start looking for a new bank. That’s ridiculous, not everyone wants to upgrade every other month.
