Problem in memris review
Before the update, it was possible to review in a memorized/spaced way, and you could resume reviewing from where you had left off in the flashcards. But now this feature no longer exists, and every time it starts the words from the beginning for review.
Disgusted
I am so disgusted with the makers of this app. It was perfect. It was simple. I’d created thousands of flashcards. It synced perfectly with my phone. Then a week ago, they updated it and everything is ruined. The user interface now sucks. Nothing syncs with mobile anymore. I have an exam next week and I’m screwed because of this horrible app. I will never use this again. They didn’t even provide notice that this would happen. I hope this company goes under. Thanks for nothing.
Great but
Good app, but it’s annoying that the cram mode resets when you don’t use the app for more than a day. I’m trying to study a set of 400 cards, but when I take a day off the mode resets and I have to restart.
Not Good for iPad
works great on an iPhone,..not so much on an iPad. Unlike the iPhone version, the iPad version does not allow for flipping flash cards, you get the question and the answer on the same card. There is a drop down menu for for “memorize”, “cram” etc etc…..however the buttons to start the different modes do not work.
I kinda miss the old style
I miss the old style of cram! This new one feels laggy and it’s harder to edit things as easily. The old layout made it look like it was a separate app from the internet and no extra distractions like AI and what not. Now this app looks like every other 😔

Love the desktop version, can’t use the app
I log into Cram online using my Google account, but the app doesn’t have that as an option! I don’t want to have to completely recreate my account with a u/n and p/w. Please add Google login as an option!!!

Ok, I made an account linked to my google account, but I can’t do the same with the app? I even entered my google login and it doesn’t work.

If it didn’t have a terrible language audio output model, or pause my music every 10 seconds with a stupid chime then would be 5. Used it a lot and good for memorizing things. Just the audio is not the best
Best app for flash cards
This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s light weight, useful, and just works. It’s best to create your flashcards on their website and utilize this app afterwards. The only feedback I have for the devs is to somehow work in signing in through a google account.
Ridiculous requirements for an app
App requires constant login on phone. Deleting for this reason
Can’t login??
on the website i have registered on my google account and it works both on my phone and computer, but on the app it won’t let me login even though i have my password and gmail correct, neither does it have an option to log in with google. im very confused
Flash cards disappear and cram and memorize modes broken
I really like that you can take pictures for these flash cards, it makes studying anatomy super helpful. This app started glitching after I made a few sets. Half of the pictures on my flash cards would be missing the next time I opened the app but I could still go into the “recently studied” section and the pictures would be there. Now when I’m in memorize mode any cards I got wrong it doesn’t have me go through them again, it just starts the deck over. With cram mode the cards I got wrong it says it’s adding some back to level 1 but then when I finish the round it just goes to round 3 instead of round 1 to practice the wrong cards. So it was working great at first and I loved it, now I’m just frustrated and worried all the time I spent making cards will be lost when my cards get deleted randomly.
Amazing until they broke it
This used to be the perfect flashcard app, I was recommending it to everyone. But since the latest update it doesn’t sync with devices any more so is next to useless, such a shame.
Great learning tool
I have been using this for years. Very intuitive and friendly. Have tried others but none compare. My kids used this right through school. I have published MEga educational courses and refer to many Cram tests for online use.
Terrible
None of the games work on iphone/mac/ipad or even the internet. I have tried google and safari. Nothing
i love cram but it’s a bit outdated
i love cram soooo much! this website has saved my butt in school ever since i found it! i suggest it to everyone, i often make flash cards and share them with my friends in class. the only thing is that it’s a bit outdated. i would love if they updated their apps, maybe added some more of the study games, but also made a separate ipad app vs just having the iphone app. i still highly recommend though! and the fact that it’s free is so awesome!
The notecards can disappear.
I had a variety of notecard sets for MCAT preparation. One week before the exam, all my notecards sets disappeared and support said they could not retrieve them. This had happened to me during my biology semester as well, but at that time it was only one chapter that disappeared. I wish I had learned my lesson then and used a different app. I would not use this app if you are planning on using your own flash cards for a period of time.
What happened to Cram?
I used to love Cram! I recommended it all the time and I’ve used it for years! I love the games for studying, it was easy and fun. Now it glitches all the time. The ads are annoying and unbearable. Why is there not an option to pay for no ads? Why does the game no longer work? Why does no one respond when I emailed? I would pay for this app if the features worked. I miss the old app.

Flash cards doubled
I have over 200 flash cards and randomly they double over 400 and now I need to spend hours going through them just to get rid of the ones that doubled 🙁

New issues
I used to love this app, but now when I get cards wrong, it doesn’t give me a round to only do the cards that I got wrong. I can’t study like that.
I really like this app but..
The games don't work at all sometimes the app logs you out or refreshes and doesn't save the cards you make, otherwise the cards are good and easy to make.

Waste of time!!!
If you love wasting your time making important Flashcards only to find they are all gone…then get this app. I spent hours make language cards only to find almost all cards gone except maybe four cards. I really like this app but what is the point if your cards simply disappear! HATE THIS APP!!

Need to find a new notecard app
Used this app for over 6 years. Used to be able to sync notecards over the websites and several devices but not it appears that feature no longer available.
Almost A Decade Later
I used to LIVE on this app for high school. It’s gotten me A’s on tests I NEVER thought I’d pass. I’m now graduated from college and redownloaded it to back to use it again to help me learn things for work and it’s almost impossible to play the games with the ads now. They block off the bottom part of the game where it’s unreadable and can’t hit any buttons. Really disappointing :(

This app has a lot of potential to be the best but it feels like they last updated this in 2010. Too many bugs across iPhone and iPad.
Recommended if you use the Website
I always make my cards on the website then use the app to view them while on transit or in bed. For that it works great. My only beef is I can’t log into my facebook based account. I think it’s something with the iOS but I can’t be sure.
Not Bad but Still is.
This app works really well if you are trying to study. It has all the right ideas but has many issues to fix. The app itself is user friendly but is very slow. They need to optimize the app to use photos from your album and keep them there. I use this app for classes like mammalogy and anatomy. I will add pictures and then come back the next day to continue studying and find pictures have gone missing. I hope they fix this bug. Also if I try to copy and paste from one card to the other, the app will crash and I have to open it again. I would often try to copy and paste because I would be studying the same species or structure at a different angle.
Good
Has been a good replacement since quizlet ruined their learn mode. Cram mode is perfect for short term learning. Only annoying thing is that progress doesn’t seem to sync between web and app. If this were changed it would be perfect!

Stellar Speller Game Obscured by Ads
Really fun app but the Stellar Speller game is obscured by ads rendering it obsolete. It is frustrating as it appears you can click the X to remove the ads but they won’t disappear and one is unable to play the game properly because the game board is stuck under the ads. This glitch needs to be fixed!

Buggy sizing
Edit. I liked this when I first started using it but I’m continually annoyed by the fact that it resize texts fonts, requires a lot of taps to do basic things like edit, and doesn’t have a lot of flexibility for non-western alphabets.(i’m using it for flashcards to learn Mandarin.) I have since found a better app (Quizlet) that both accommodates things like Mandarin and also is much quicker for entering new cards. It also has several options for learning. So I’m leaving Cram behind. Rest of this review is for your information. “It’s ok but there is a problem with text sizing. I make the text large but when I return to the card set the text is small. This is frustrating when creating Mandarin flash cards because the characters are intricate. I’ve written to support but they don’t seem able to help. There is also a limit to formatting functionality—it always begins a new card set with small text and that’s hard to read. You can’t set defaults. So nice idea and the various ways to memorize are helpful but I’m tired of spending a half hour just resizing text before I begin memorizing.”
Good premise, needs an update
I use this up for studying and memorizing info I need for work. , the cards function very well The Facebook login feature needs an update, the keyboard is still one that I had on my iPhone 3G 10 years ago. It asks for a Facebook code, but I don’t think Facebook gives codes any more. Mostly just needs cleaning up!

Where do all my flashcards go?
I don’t know why I have such bad luck with this app. It is my preferred app for learning flashcards, and I appreciate that it’s free, but it seems like every time I open the app either one of my sets has been deleted or I’ve been logged out only to discover I can’t log back in and have to create a new account.
Love it but have some recommendations
I love this site so much and it's amazing on a laptop or computer. Yet though it works well on the phone app, when making a series of flash cards at once, if you swipe back to see one you've done prior without saving them individually (planning to save that whole set together when done) it tends to delete the one you swipe it to and many others if you try to swipe again. Other than that I really enjoy the app.
Ongoing Issues
Left Chegg to Cram. Paid the monthly for the better version. It’s not worth the $6/month for the following reasons: - sharing the cards has not worked for 2 weeks. Multiple emails to developers and only received the same copy and paste message that they were working on it. - instead of the font scaling down to fit, it will cut off the cards, only after you start reviewing - copy and pasting will add spacing For very simple cards, this will work.
5 stars if I can sign in with google on the app
I made a whole bunch of flash cards but I didn’t know I wouldn’t be able to sign in with google on the app. This would be a perfect 5 stars otherwise
Easily the best flash card utility
Cram is everything Quizlet wishes it was. I’ve never been bothered to watch ads or pay for a ridiculous subscription model, all for (almost) the same utilities as Quizlet. The only thing between Cram and the perfect flash card app is the ability to add photos. Everything else is incredibly simple and easy to use.
Disappearing sets
I was in love with this app when I first discovered it. However, for the past month, every set I make only seems to last for a few days and disappears. I’m extremely disappointed as I put in a lot of work to make those flash cards, get excited to study them, only to find that they’re nowhere to be found. I guess that’s what I get for expecting a lot from a free app. Would be 5 stars, but I can’t even study using this app anymore.

Great Online - Not App
Great online program, but it won't let me sign in using Facebook. I've even tried signing in regularly with the Facebook information. No luck! 😩

As I did online so I can’t access my flash cards! I managed to access through forgot password. Good app otherwise.
