Great learning tool
Its flash cards are everything I hoped for and more!!
No way to cancel the subscription
I was being kept asked for subscription but I didn’t find the way to cancel it after I ordered it
Works - tip on import
Simple yet effective program for flash cards. I would give it 5 stars except for three things: 1) Information on importing is lacking. Doesn’t give you the file format or layout required. The “faqs” just tell you how to import, not the formats. 2) Put in a support ticket and never heard back. 3) Update the edit interface to improve font changes. For those looking to import, here are a few tips: Create a deck and two or three cards. Be sure to select some text and change it to heading 1,2 or 3 so you can see the inline style code (more on that later) Export that deck and you can use it as a template for the columns you need. The import file layout has to have those columns. Be sure to look at the “Card number” and “index” (start at 1 and 0 respectively). Most importantly, what gave me a lot of problems is that it needs to be in CSV UTF-8 format. I am doing flash cards that use a non-english language/keyboard and it was not importing correctly (said it was, but everything was jumbled up and out of place) Lastly, the program is using a web viewer window to display the cards and relying on CSS styles for formatting. This is actually good news as you can use inline styles to make the font/text appear however you want.
Why?
Why do apps try so hard to get you to pay before you know the app has the functions you want. Sigh. I made six decks and zero actual flash the first time I opened this open. Was asked three times to review it and twice to upgrade. So here’s my review. I suggest you make it easy and clear how to do the basic task it’s suppose to do before getting me to pay.
About the flash cards!
Quite slow when typing long flash card answers
Digital Flashcards
It’s legitimately just digital flashcards. A lot of the other apps are trying to create a whole learning ecosystem and force you into using their notes system. That approach might work for a lot of people but some people just legit want digital flashcards and they got the rest of their learning ecosystem on lock. I also like that there is a one time lifetime subscription. Being forced to pay perpetually is a bit much. Maybe if it was $1 per year it would make sense but this Netflix level monthly subscription most apps do is wild. So thanks for providing something I need and at an affordable cost ($40 at the time).
Pay wall on everything
Works for a bit the you hit pay walls. I get limiting things but this is not laid out that you have limits on things you just run into it so you can’t work within limitations but the longer I used it (a week, one deck, less than 50 cards) the more things stopped working to where I can’t really use it which sucks since I went to all the work to make my cards. Subscriptions model or $40 to unlock. Dumb.
Good
Serviceable
Template
The app needs standard templates for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fraction presets.
Great - except one thing
I really like this app for several reasons. It’s simple, easy to use, allows for lots of cards per deck, and has a lot of features that are really useful. However, it has one feature that has made it completely unusable for me. You have a card shuffle limit. Meaning you can only shuffle your decks so many times before you have to pay. And to note - once you shuffle it, it’s un-shuffled once you exit the deck, so you can’t keep one deck shuffled as a work around. I would have given this app a 5 star rating as the best flash card app I’ve tried but it’s ruined for me. Shuffling is not supposed to be a paid feature.
Good app
I was looking for an app where I can make my own flash cards for memorizing Spanish words and phrases. I use language apps, but none of them allow me to make my own study material.
Updated or something
For some reason this app updated and erased 2 years of flash cards I had built up. The new look is just completely awful. So many random pop ups. I’d give it a Zero if I could
Easy to use, simple & uncomplicated.
I’m still new to the app but I am very pleased so far. I am using it to memorize scripture, I referred it to a friend, we will use our apps to hold each other accountable. It needs to have a record function and the editor is a bit clunk, but I use it everyday.
Print TOO small!!!
I would like to use it when waiting for things and that means i usually dont have my glasses w me. The print is too small & doesnt adjust like othr apps which is disappointing 😩. It wont even enlarge when the phone is sideways. Teeny print and LOTS of empty space. I like the fact that it is simple & no crazy bells & whistles which is why im gonna stick w it.
Too many adds
I get that they want us to upgrade to pro, but there are so many adds for it. I mean practically every time I click something, it says “I hope you enjoyed this feature. Upgrade to pro for unlimited ____”
GREAT
I love it
Has Scareware advertisement
Seems like it was going to be a decent app but then my first ad was scareware “Your account has been hacked…”. Norma ads I can deal with but this kind of content isn’t tolerable for me.
Decks
😊This is such an easy to use deck and allows me to add whatever I want
Everything’s behind a paywall
It’s a decent app, but the people behind it are too money hungry. You literally have to pay for features like shuffling and jumping ahead your cards in decks. This app would’ve been so much better if the creator wasn’t so focused on money.
Gets the job done
It was disappointing to me that I have to pay for a membership if I want to add math symbols (like power/indices). I’m a broke student so that’s not an option for me lool You can get around it by using the ^ symbol. Other than that, it’s a pretty good app. Nice job 👍
😊
Very easy to use. Way better than handwriting flashcards.
Suspicious
Just got a your account has been restricted because it has been hacked due to watching adult websites blah blah blah. Removing this app from my phone. It doesn’t feel safe
love
amazing, saved effort for having to make flash cards dont but pro- i didnt and the adverts are like three seconds
Very good until they want your money
It’s a good app for making flashcards but they limit your actions to so many uses before you have to purchase a subscription there are free versions just as good out there and you don’t have to look far
Could be a really useful resource with some refinement! Wishing I didn’t spend $10
Honestly so close to being an amazing app. The way of organising decks and creating cards is great. However the shuffle feature is not working correctly and even when it does it not the most ideal. Shuffle isn’t saved as an option for any deck so when you go to practice you have to select shuffle each time, and even when you do sometimes after 5-8 cards in it just goes back to numerical order even when the shuffle button is on.
Easy and cheap
I got the 1 year subscription on sale for $7 and worth it. I’m using it to study a menu for a new job and it is easy to categorize and user friendly!
Cash grab
You literally have to pay for EVERYTHING
Helpful
Helpful for revising. Too many ads.
Give me more decks pls
Helpful but i would like more free decks x
pretty good
great app just wish you could get more decks
wowowooww
i think this app is very simple and straightforward to use and extremely helpful. even if you don’t have the pro version, imo you still get a pretty good deal for free. you can still edit the format of your letters and even share the flash cards with your friend digitally. i also REALLY appreciate the fact that it makes it hard for you to accidentally delete your flash cards. overall, it’s simple, reliable, and it came in clutch SO many times. highly recommend!!! :)
Not good
Not a very good program at all I have to type most things in because it won’t scan it right or copy it right
Good app but needs to have shuffle button
Good app and easy to use but I believe to get this to five stars it needs to have a button that shuffles the cards
good
good
Simple-Good-Easy
Still on the free version but probably going to pay for the advanced. Great way to organize sets of flash cards. I’m using it for some topical Bible memory sets.
Horrible Design, Hard to Use
Get any other flash cards app. Stay away.
Not bad…
Fairly simple layout and pretty easy to use, however the app does beg you to upgrade to premium, fair enough I suppose though.
super good!
amazing app for revision and homework but limited decks is annoying!!
Great simple yet flexible flashcards app
This is a great app, yes you have to pay but it’s cheap enough for the value. I love that you can export /import the .deck files because it enables this pro tip: you can export the file and work with ChatGPT to ingest the format. Then if you have your flashcards in a word doc or something, you can have ChatGPT put take them and put them into the flash card format. It can even apply the styling (coloring parts of the card) by adding in the HTML styling. Then it’ll give you a .deck file which you can re-import. I found this way faster than trying to build out decks manually in the app.
Glitchy
App sucks it’s glitching out too much to use
Review
Nice app, useful and easy to use.
Decent app
Good app for basic cue cards.
SUPER USEFULL
been using it to practice my lines for acting and also for vocab quizzes and honestly save time and paper by writing it all on these flash cards #swag
absolutely terrible
ads every 3 seconds, anything actually helpful behind an insane pay wall, theres better options that are completely free this is js a slop app trying to profit off of students attempting to learn 0/5 if i could
Works well but shame about purchases
Works well for revision but a shame that you have to pay for separate decks of flash cards overall works as it should
Good
