The app is reasonably simple and intuitive and, for my needs, is just right. A handy tool in my list of helps.
Continue to dashboard?
Every time I log in, the app shows an extra screen asking a question before letting me continue to the dashboard or portfolios. This step feels pointless. Who designed this? Why not take users straight to the dashboard after login? Fix this and I’ll update my review.
A Bit of a Mess
This app is visually messy, not professional, and glitchy. When I can get it to not freeze on a loading screen, resulting in me having to close the app and start over, I actually enjoy its content.
Many more Winners Than Losers
I’ve been using the Zack’s lists, now, for awhile, and it has definitely been giving me the daily returns I have been planning for in my IRA. Armed with the great information provided by this app’s rated stock lists, I’m on target to retire on time and with plenty of financial legroom to enjoy a comfortable retirement. Thank you, Zack’s!!
Crashes
I have the app on my 7th generation iPod touch with iOS 15.8.5. Just updated to version 5.1.9. The app crashes immediately on startup.
Daily Portfolio performance
I would like to see my daily gain/loss for my portfolio. I can see it on the website, but not on the app.
Not Convenient
I use Zack’s website and pay for investment services. The app does not provide the same level of convenience for assessing stocks. One feature that I miss is a return to the previous page. If I go in the wrong direction then I have to start over rather than ‘return’ to last page. I’ll stick with the website.

Seriously. I am a broker and love the hard work and transparency of data provided by Zacks. The app is beyond frustrating to use - add a back button already or fire your developer asap. Actually, do both. A bit difficult to have clients navigate to a dysfunctional app. Absolutely unacceptable.
Good bet
Wish I would have stuck with taking Zack’s advice from the start, would have saved me lots.
Customer service nonexistent and was forced to pay $250+
I signed up for a one week trial. Used it ONE time and noticed how glitchy it was. Tried to go in the app to cancel and the page will not load. Reached out to customer service 3X now and only received one response “cancel through apple”. Well it’s too late because they waited until AFTER I was charged to tell me. And now apple refuses to refund me because it appears like a legit purchase. STILL cannot access app properly as it glitches out NON STOP. What a scam. Going to my credit card company now to fight this.
Room to grow
Generally a nice tool, yet lacking some basic handling features. The biggest downside in using the app is that there is no return button. Pairing it with a trading platform would make it a one-stop solution. Maybe something worth considering? I use it daily to receive info and updates to stocks in my portfolio. Wouldn‘t want to miss it.
Zacks app doesn’t make sense
Come on guys. It’s time for you to change the app. Don’t give an app just because you have to. Look at seeking alpha and learn from them. I paid $$$$ for a lifetime membership so that I don’t have to pay to multiple apps but now I feel I am super stuck. ☹️ The Zacks app need modernization.
Notification but no way to view what it is in the app!?
Wouldn’t it be great if we could actually see what the notification is in the application itself? I mean I get a little red circle with a number that says I have notification but when I click on the app I have no way to see what the notification actually was.
Love it
I have been a customer of Zack’s for several years, it has been a good source of information. Definitely love it. Nicholas B. (Nick) is the expert whom I always go to, he has been a wonderful help. Should you have any questions, I’d recommend you to contact Nick. He’ll have answers for you. The mobile app could be more user friendly, that’s true. I’ve seen a big improvement since I started using it years ago. Look forward to seeing more of it.

Zacks does not protect your personal data. Thanks to Zacks my personal data ended up on the dark web.

Great tool
Slow & no landscape mode
Refreshing can be quite slow…but the most annoying part is app doesn’t have landscape mode. If you gonna offer an app for iPad, make your app rotate so that it works in the landscape. Gets really annoying after a minute or so.
App doesn’t reflect Zack’s
I’m a Zack’s subscriber and use the website daily. This app doesn’t do them justice. It’s clunky and outdated. Time for a redesign.

Won’t open on iPad
I love zacks and as a retail trader I use the app every day, but it won’t open on my iPad at all. I’ve turned the iPad off and on multiple times. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times.

Apps that only display in portrait mode on IPad get published. I deleted it immediately after I opened it. And I’ll have to consider carefully if I’ll go beyond my trial period.

Something it’s wrong with signing up
It doesn’t let me create a password. It keeps going in circles taking me back to the previous page after sending me the email
Enjoyable app to use
This is great app. Very clear to see and use. The free version is 100% worth the download if stocks and shares are your thing. You can add your own portfolio to it and it will keep track for you ** provided it has it. Note this is largely a US stock app. Some UK shares are listed but not all, even some big names. I would have given the extra star but it could do with a refresh button to update the page loaded as stock is ever changing.
App not worthy of company.
I am a Zack’s client and subscribe to most of its services. They are usually accurate, informative and well written. Zack’s is a Five Star Company The App? A very different story. In fairness, I live where internet service is not always good, but similar apps, such as Yahoo Finance, simply Wall Street. Tip Ranks and several brokerage apps and charting apps all manage to deliver with the same internet. The problems are, in no particular order, 1, Slow. If you change sections of the program, you spend several minutes watching the clock icon. If you try to get information on a stock, that can take so long as to make the app unusable. 2.Unstable. I subscribe to all their services, but I frequently get a notice that I must subscribe in order to see a section. If I log into Zack’s website, I never have these problems. It is reliable and faster than my internet service. Thus, the problems are with this app. As an additional observation, Zack’s has a screening program that blows everything else I’ve tried completely out of the water. It is a paid service, and has a learning curve, but worth every second and dollar spent. Having access to it with perhaps another, more functional app would be an industry leading attraction. IN SUMMARY: If you are a Zack’s subscriber, forget this app and use the website.

Excellent insights, easy to use, very helpful
Useless app
I subscribe to Zack’s desktop service, mainly for ranking mutual funds, which you cannot find on this mobile app. Thus, this mobile service is not only useless but utterly inexistent. Be smart, Zack’s team; have a mobile app that rises up to the level of your rankings and recommendations.
Very handy reference tool.
A very good guide to stop me buying no chance shares. I was lucky enough to make 20% profit last year despite an 40% loss in March.
iPad Landscape View
Zacks’ app for iPad can use an update that includes Landscape view…. This type of improvement would express a true professional approach.

The functionality available is excellent and informative. However, if you drill down to an individual portfolio entry, the app starts clocking and continues until you lose patience and shut the app down.

Open and close
I have deleted and downloaded the app multiple times. It opens and immediately closes. I called customer support and they told me to open and change the settings. But it won’t open. I’m calling again today. I prefer to use the app over my laptop. Sad news when a long established company that depends on technology to have such poor service.

I love Zack’s itself but you could improve the dashboard of your app in many ways I was about to put 3 star but because Zacks is such a good website I will Give you 4
After selecting a stock, info won’t load
I will out in a stock and then it goes to the data screen and shows the score for the stock with a spinning icon on it. Freezes the whole page. This started happening maybe a week ago. Any ideas?

Crashes on launch. Rebooted phone, still crashes. Deleted app and reinstalled, still crashes. Guess I’ll just use the web browser then. That’s too bad, was going to use in-app purchases / subscriptions.
Great app
Loads of articles and advice. Only criticism is that is it almost wholly US centric. Very easy app to use.
Not able to search individual stocks
I'm not able to search individual stocks anymore which was the whole point I even used this app...did this change to a premium feature I'm confused??? The only stocks I'm able to analyze or whichever ones are on the homescreen..

I updated this buggy app and now it crashes when I open it. My iOS is a version it shows as compatible.
Worth downloading
Getting the hang of the free version. Can’t look a gift horse in the mouth. The subscription service looks a bit complicated
Seldom loads or works
Zacks is a great research tool but I am not sure if they abandoned the app as it seldom loads, takes forever to load when it works, can’t add stocks to portfolio, pretty much any form of interacting with the app (if or when it works) is so slow or just fails to work that it makes it a total waste of time. Best to use the website as the app really just seems beta at best and you waste more time trying to get it to work than is worth it. If they are still monitoring the app here is details on what I am using: iPhone 14 pro, IOS 16.5
Rating Zacks
I think the app fails to deliver reviews on timely basis with an option for users to view the various reviews and learn from the experience of each. There is a major potential to improve. Although there is an avalanche of information, sometimes overwhelming ,but for us individual users there is no consistent features that would allow us to review past recommendations and how well they have faired, so the use of this app is limited. I am seriously considering to leave. Thanks for the opportunity to conduct this review.
