Quite useful
I use some other stock apps, but SA is my favorite. I enjoy the articles and find them useful. I find it fairly intuitive and easy to use. The ratings are great for a Quick Look. I do feel that the service is too expensive for most retail investors.
Don’t Subscribe!!!
Seeking Alpha is absolutely full of ads, up-sells, and required “on boarding” that requires you to sign up for newsletters and other services. I am furious that I paid $300 for a service that I can’t use due to the ads.
Performance Issues
1. Custom views - when you make a change like adding a new column , the same custom view does show up in other portfolios. Poor QA testing 2. Overall Slower performance 3. From the home page when you click on Portfolio, nothing happens. I have to click multiple times on Portfolio for the list to pop-up 4 while rolling out new features please do proper testing 5. No easier way to provide feedback from the Seeking Alpha mobile app 6. IPad version seems to have more issues
Portfolio grouping broken
The list of stocks and ETFs in my portfolio is not appearing in the order I had set. This stopped working recently. When I edit the portfolio and delete stocks, they still appear after pressing the done button. The order I selected no longer saves. The chat support is broken, too. This used to be a great app. Please fix these serious bugs.
Overnight breaking news is terrible
I’ll check futures at night and they might be positive yet the Breaking News says stocks are gapping down. Or the futures might be negative and Breaking News says stocks are gapping up. Very rarely does Seeking Alpha get it right.
Ease of use
I enjoy how straightforward and rather easy SA is for new investors and someone with minimal tech skills/experience. I just set up my holdings and the stocks I’m interested queue them up and hit play and one after another I can listen to all the information I care to get.

Moderators censor conservatives
SA used to be a good site. But after Trump became POTUS most comment sections turned into deranged Liberal ranting. They can say literally anything, but conservative comments get censored and the Commenter gets put into “review” so every post has to be approved by the censors. This only happens for Conservative posters, the other side posts literally anything with no censorship. I’ve been in moderator review 3x for nothing that is against SA posted rules, only that I defend Conservatives.
Too few uk stocks covered
As a UK investor I find that 12 my etfs and stocks are not covered by Alpha Very disappointed as it skews all my portfolio reviews . Unless this changes I won’t be renewing

25% increase to $300
Happy with the site for years, but can’t justify that kind of rate increase.
Great platform with a few short falls
Overall, I love the Seeking Alpha platform and it is helped tremendously with my investing decisions. I just wish in some cases, it were easier to navigate and more intuitive. Also, the functionality of the portfolio tool leaves much to be desired. It doesn’t update very often with the positions held, and won’t let you delete positions manually if they’re linked to one of your trading accounts. The only workaround is to delete the portfolio, which means deleting all of the portfolios with that account and re-link or create a portfolio, and have it be completely manual.

App crashes after 30 seconds
Every time I launch the app it crashes 30 seconds later. Even after deleting and reinstalling.

It could only be better with historical data for the entire portfolio.
Recent update is weird
Recent update has nuked the overall usability and is introducing some very bizarre scrolling behavior.
Overall decent value.
US market data is usually up to the minute however Canadian markets are always delayed and sometimes show closed when they are open during trading hours. I wish I could use tools such as Bollinger bands and other MA charts etc.

App is slow
Very frustrating, I’ve been using this app for 7 years now, it just gets worse and worse each year, I have to force quit the app 3-5 times a day to get it to load correctly. Every article I click on takes 10-30 seconds to load on a iPhone 16 pro. Opening any images or PDF files they lock you into vertical position so it’s impossible to read most presentations in PDF with the tiny text. It’s almost unusable on phones. Need to look at this site in a browser.
Great data; confusing to use
The title is my review. Hard to find things, but great things when you do find them.
One sided politics platform
I’ve used Seeking Alpha for years and I have enjoyed its function and use without having to pay for premium which is what has earned it a star. It was always a bit political in the comments of certain, usually quite informative articles. Lately, every article’s comments are not relevant to the market instead focused on vitriol towards a certain orange man. It’s tiresome and worthless. SA doesn’t seem to moderate at all or enforce their community to stay on topic which is now a devolved silo of hate. I’ll find another financial platform that focuses on the markets not hating on political opinions and views.
Can’t view ratings on iPad
The app works pretty good on the iPhone but the screen is small. On the iPad, portfolio view does not display ratings properly (at all).
Great Analysis and articles
This portal provides many articles of great depth and analysis from variety of authors.
Atrocious - App keeps “sticking”
I’m a new premium subscriber. I’m trying to enter in details of my portfolio. It sits there stuck with each keystroke and the lag is ridiculous. Trying to get the Menu to respond is like go away and come back after a few mins. Whoever is in charge of this app should be taken to the back and dealt with.
Plenty of information but slow app upload
Great to use when works. App upload is consistently glitchy. It is slow and unreliable.

Good Platform but mixed satisfaction
The SA Platform is great for subscribers, providing a great deal of financial data available for all companies followed. Combined with the SA Ratings of Performance, Valuation, etc, this has been a great tool for my investing & I'm very pleased. On the downside, while there are some very good research & analysis articles, there seems to be a great deal of bias & financial inaccuracy in many of the articles. The Platform does not differentiate between Professionally written articles or those by amateur investors, many of whose content should be read & relied upon with care. Even more so, very poor moderation of research article fact checking & the comments even worse.

Very important feature request that everyone wants
Earning call audio transcript can’t be played in the background mode on iPhone. Paying subscription fee to get suboptimal experience is not ideal. Please improve this ASAP

I Love Seeking Alpha App…… but…..
Let’s be clear, I love Seeking Alpha. The information available and articles are amazing. I use this app multiple times per day. The only problem I have is with the app itself. Although I have cleared all notifications, a red bubble with the number 1 still appears on the app icon. It is annoying to look at.

So the contributors at SA don’t all belong to hedge funds or national brokers but, that doesn’t seem to matter. In a word… they are dependable!!

Tremendous resource
SA worth its wt in GOLD
No more portfolio tracking
The great portfolio tracking feature will no longer update without a subscription. It was the one thing that kept me coming back to SA. Was a subscriber for years until many of the articles became nothing but clickbait with little to no substantial value. Leo Nelisson was excellent but I couldn’t justify a $300/yr subscription for only one contributor that was of any value to me. Maybe things will change for the better in the future.
UX not so good
Why is the company profile not at the top of page? Why do I have to scroll through bunch of news and articles to find what the business is about? It should be at the top, right next to "Key Data" section. Please let us rearrange the sections and make each section collapsible, so that each user can start with section that is important for him or her.
Don’t bother unless you’re ready to pay
You’re limited by the amount of articles you can read unless you pay for a subscription. AND IT DOESN'T HAVE CANADIAN STOCKS. Yahoo finance is the better choice!!

Great option for advice and research
Seeking Alpha is one of my go to’s. Whenever I am doing research of a stock this site is at the top of my list. I like the ranking, warnings, summaries and the competitors listed within the summary. I also review the recommendations. I maintain my own stock on the site. Will continue using this site. I’m new at this and it provides what I need.
Terrible update
Very little works now. Will not stay on the Portfolios tab, which is my preferred starting page. The customization page does not work and requires closing the app to exit.
Good, but subscription cost is too high.
Love the ability to create personalized portfolios and the info they provide. To read more than a handful of articles in a month, you need to subscribe, which is priced way to high ($45/mo). In my opinion, Seeking Alpha should allow you to read the general articles when you subscribe to one of the Seeking Alpha Authors’ services, but it does not.
