Ibd. A great source of data
No other publication that I know of gives the customer so much data In an easy to read and understand fashion to help the customer make intelligent stock purchases and sales.
Broken buggy mess
Things don’t load, the app forgets I’m a subscriber and will spam me with ads to buy what I already own. It barely ever works on open, the UI on the stock will bug out and get stock on “loading valid data” then never does and you have to switch to the daily or weekly then back to get it to maybe load. I will open the app and try to check my lists then it will suddenly say that I’m not signed in and I have no lists, then I sign out and sign back in and the error persists until it randomly will work again. Sometimes the chart will bug out and not show the current day’s candle Almost always will the percentages for the day be incorrect on my lists, it won’t load and it will even mix up all of them and show one stock being up what another stock in the list is actually up, refreshing will just shuffle them around When typing a stock ticker in to add to a list, if you type the full ticker it will not appear, so, for example, I wanted to add BE, I saw BE flash for a second when I typed B, but for BE it gave me everything but BE, I had to type just B then select it, this has happened maybe 100+ times I just don’t know why I’m even paying for this anymore. The desktop version is the only one that works. Do not use this app, it’s just a broken useless mess
Fix the link from alert to app
Great context, but clicking my alerts does not bring up the article - only takes me to the app home page. Used to be able to view the article to which I was alerted.

Worst app i have ever seen
I don’t think i have ever seen an app this bad. It crashes continuously and sometimes doesn’t allow me to sign in. 2 of the links in the “lists” never opened since i started. Terrible
Accurate & Timely
Though its website and app could use some updating/modernization, IBD provides accurate and timely investment information.
Stocks traded up.
What’s the benefit of knowing what stock went up the previous day it should be ahead of the opening not after the close.!!!!

Never ending advertising
Even with a PAID SUBSCRIPTION they never stop trying to sell you more of their publications. Their customer service people are the worst I have ever dealt with.

…..they send out a email to end-users to update the app immediately for some alleged data improvement …. …and they still can’t display dividend info. I don’t see any improvement in anything. And, to use the App one must be a Digital subscriber, yet every dam time one examines a stock that is currently moving in the market, an advertisement pops up telling the digital subscription user about a digital subscription user discount - every dam time. I’ve been canceling IBD services and am very close to canceling this too.
Old UI
Needs a revamp and a fix for the auto-audio play of videos inside the articles you are reading. Videos even start playing if you switch to another app to multitask. Pretty annoying and distracting.
Best Teaching App
An overall good source for current market news and trends from easy to understand commentators. Offers a variety of free classes with basic to advanced trading topics. Daily news broadcast.
IBD App is CrApp
Simple: Overloaded with Ads and provides little value. Longtime subscriber; like most businesses, went way downhill since the founder passed and sold to the Dow. Time late for most investors and investment analysis is pablum. Can’t access the digital paper, which I’m paying for and constantly begging for users to subscribe to some other worthless service.
The Big Picture Missing in app?
How come you cannot see the big picture column on the app? Such a simple function to have on. It is frustrating to go out of the app to see that. I hope this can be added.

Need Full Screen View
The content on the IBD app is great! However, on an iPad Air, the app opens as a tall, skinny app — about the shape of an iPhone. But why not display more on the full size iPad screen? There is so much screen real estate that IBD is not taking advantage of. It would be much better if I saw more info on a single screen.

Push notifications faulty
Good app but the push notifications that come in never end up opening the actual article that they are alluding to. Instead it just opens the app itself and then you have to search for the article, often times unsuccessfully. Pretty annoying honestly.
IBD sub groups
July 4, 2026 I am still using MSFT Hopefully msft will move higher in winter Aug 16, 2023 I signed up again. I am now retired & did not think I needed IBD. BIDEN is wreaking the economy on 2023 with his inflation increasing policies. Everything costs more now a days. Fuel up to $3.48 in ALABAMA. Trump had it around $2.15. His policies worked. July 11,2018 Still love this app. I am using stock of the day and NH list. (This IBD APP IS EXTREMELY valuable if you get investor business daily newspaper from Los Angelo’s. You can sign up for the electronic addition which is delivered daily in morning. I enjoy this app. May 3, 2018 The more I use it the better I like it. I have created 5 watch lists for different time horizons. Short term Stocks to long term Stocks.
Annoying
Multiple pop ups while in the APP are very annoying. I paid for access to the information to not be bombarded with silly advertisements. Also, the visible screen in the app is small and no where near the size of my Ipad screen. Hitting the expand arrows only increases the visible size slightly. I was a subscriber around 25 years ago when the digital version of IBD was in it’s infancy. Back then, the digital version was annoying and so was the nutty right-wing bias on many of their articles and editorials. Those issues made me drop subscription back then. 25 years later, the nutso right-wing bias is gone (thankfully)but the digital subscription issues are present but in a different way.
Valuable
Would love screener functionality enhanced in the app - and in general (moving average filters, technical patterns and indicators) but the lists and curated data are extremely powerful and valuable as is.

Open a message link and you may end up somewhere else. Annoying ads just keep popping up while you’re reading an article. IM A PAID SUBSCRIBER!!! Open a text message and go back to the app and your on another article from 3 days ago. This is the most poorly functional app. UHG!

Disappointed in IBD digital cash grab
I can’t use IBD digital on my phone app unless I pay additional $46 a month. Makes sense for IBD but not for me. I’ll be cancelling my subscription.
IBD’s Take No More
The app is fine and comes in handy. However, since the update, IBD’s Take section is no longer available. This was a convenient way to verify my buy points and I am very disappointed that this feature has been removed.

Great for options. Poor for functionality
This app is great but I seem to be one a few people who are constantly asked to subscribe when using the app which I am subscribed too. This has even led me to suspect I have been charged more than I should of. The actual information and insight itself is great and I have already had some positive trades based purely on the listing system. These are options I would not of usually considered but through IBD I have been able to go outside my comfort zone with some confidence. Please fix the subscription reminder issue. Other than that it’s a good and valuable tool for those wishing to look for the next good investment.

Losing my created stock lists info
Up until recently I absolutely loved this application. I have run into a significant problem of losing my created stock lists. This problem inhibits me from looking at my entire portfolio and other lists of stocks I had previously organized.
Is not allowing list changes
I have tried 10 times to modify a list but system keeps reverting to previous list. Garbage. Cannot even do it on my desktop computer.
Closing abruptly
The app is great, some how it closes abruptly while watching short videos.
Annoying ads, needs iPad redesign
Though the basic content is good, the title says it all. Currently in the 2-month trial period, not convinced I’ll stay the course. Trial period too short, relative to time needed to formulate ideas, create a watch list, make purchases and then track performance to (hopefully) optimal conclusion. Lastly, the approach favours active trading over buy&hold or long term approaches. I wonder which is more tax-efficient in the long run.
