Linked in Recruiting
Best solution to find talent
Bugs
Constantly kicks you out, never remembers your password, always thinks you’re a bot and makes you use the ancient capcha which doesn’t work and cycles through multiple pictures, and it doesnt even offer the functionality from the browser version. Do not use this bugged app.
Please add Connection Request option directly in LinkedIn Recruiter!
I absolutely love the LinkedIn Recruiter app except for one thing, I have to view the public profile of a candidate every time I find one that I like and want to connect with. This adds an additional 2 or 3 steps as the profile has to load up in the regular LinkedIn app and then you have to request to connect, this seriously slows down the recruiting workflow when you’re sourcing through potentially hundreds of candidates and is very time consuming at a large scale. If the connection request option can be right there in the LinkedIn Recruiter app so it’s quick and right there, reducing those extra steps, that would be so incredibly helpful and make things much more productive. For the amount of money LinkedIn charges for this program per month, I can’t understand why this option isnt already included in it. Please add this feature to it, thank you so much from a busy recruiter, I will truly be grateful! :)
can’t search
can’t even add aocation filter for any searches or projects. app is only useful for messaging. really hope this bug gets fixed soon because the search pipeline is essentially useless.
Good app but
Great to have this app but some of the functionality needs to improve to make it more useful and more in line with the functionality of the internet version.
Sr. Tech Recruiter
Can’t live without it. Yes there are all the new AI platforms. Some better than others, but at the end of the day our HM’s always want to look at their LinkedIn profile. They want to see who they followed see if it match’s the resume etc.
Awful app
The stages never save when I move candidates. It’s unfortunate but it’s so bad!
Helpful, not Perfect
I like being able to pull up candidates and view message responses conveniently from my phone. It gets the job done. However, I wish there was more opportunity to customize notification settings. I really value work apps that allow me to limit notifications to certain hours (ie. Not after 5 PM, or working days only). Compared to apps like MS Teams, there’s room for improvement.
Messaging issue
Used to be perfect. Now none of my pre loaded templates will not come up while trying to message someone. Please fix!
Could do better
It would be great to put a few extra fields in something that is customizable to suit the use Would like to get easy online training. Or wouldn’t it be nice to speak to someone which is not possible I’m not going to give you a better report so maybe you could find me some talk to me.

Painful to cancel. Was re-subscribed without my consent.
I was re-subscribed without my consent. Yuck. The process to cancel my original subscription was molasses slow, and obviously designed to be slow. The benefit of the app and the service isn’t currently worth the cost. It’s obnoxious to be required to listen to someone read line after line from a script. The features are sub-par. And then to receive an email informing me that I’d resubscribed, when I most certainly hadn’t?!? Unacceptable. Presumably I won’t have to go through this miserable unsubscribe process again. Right? LinkedIn has had poorly designed navigation for years. Fine. But to add a high cost for little additional value is too much to take.
Optimising search
Sup A beneficial feature would be being able to select which cities people are interested in relocating to. Resourcing currently for an SAP Finance Solution Architect for KPMG. Perth/aus market tight. Looking to find a global resource to relocate. Having this feature would save me time. Cheers ✌🏼😘
“Open to work” on the recruiter app
The option on being able to see people who are open to work is not available on the app now. That feature was really helpful to connect with people. Also the app keeps refreshing by itself in middle of the search.
Crashes and needs a lot of improvement
Sometimes when you go into a profile you can not get off their career page and you have to switch off your phone to get the app to reboot. The functionality you have compared to on a pc is much more limited. Given users pay thousands a year for linkedin recruiter and they put the prices up again by 15 percent id expect a lot better. Also if you click ok app support here. Page is not found. However getting tech support has never proved easy via Linkedin. This app needs work
Lackluster AI functions
The AI functions pushed so hard from the home page are seriously lackluster to the point that the repeated prompts to use these functions actually detract from your objectives. Otherwise, the tool is full of useful filters and functionalities.
It’s a rip off
I posted a pared job that cost me over $700.00 When I finally closed the job I stoped paying for the subscription and once you stop paying you are not able to see your job It disappears you have no access to de applications nothing. Even if you payed for it Is a rip off
Great search function
Great search function, better than the website.
Could easily be better
Not as good as the desktop version, by far. No access to projects and jobs.
Some messages not opening!
From the past few days, the messages are not opening. You get a message notification and when you click on it, it doesn’t open. Its blank page. Kindly fix this bug. Otherwise, it was all working so good. 3 stars until it is fixed.
Forced to log back in at least a few times a week. Always says password is wrong.
Constantly crashes and locks up
Every time I try to use the app, it freezes. Beyond frustrating.
App Crash
Hi Team, I am using this app from last two days, when I am using project Recommended search and contacting candidates app is keep crashing and I need to open again after every message sent to candidates. I have recorded screen please let me know email I’d to send it or look into this Thanks - Gangi
Has potential
This app would be great if it worked. What I’m finding is when candidates submit a video response, you cannot view it in the LinkedIn app - it takes you to your browser to sign in. This would be fine, however it asks you to sign in (even if you already are) and then shows an error message. I’ve tried to ‘go back’ out of the error message, to check my sign in details are correct, but it won’t allow that, so it’s stuck. Unfortunately I can’t do what I need to on the app which hopefully can be changed.
A few flaws
It’s a good product but some flaws: 1- You can’t create and save new templates in the app 2- You can’t adjust for timeline of when you sent messages (only all or nothing) 3- There should be a choice of 15 miles (not just 10 or 25) in distance 4- Much more cities need to be loaded in
Best tool for any recruiting professional!
Wow this is a game changer for any recruiter. The suggested actions make it super easy to keep track of what needs to be done for my recruiting work.
Frustrating Lack of Options
The app is basically only useful if you do all of the work on your desktop, and JUST use it to message people who have messaged you back. If you want to create messaging templates, update any settings, change information on a saved job, basically do anything of value- absolutely forget about it. Also- please stop shoving your bad AI into our faces. Candidates are already skeptical of LinkedIn recruiters who message like robots- turning them into actual robots is going to result in more good candidates leaving the site.
LinkedIn Recruiter
I have used LinkedIn’s Enterprise, RecruiterLite and now the small business version of Recruiter. It is very nice to have all of my candidates organized in one place. The platform also provides suggested candidates for my projects. I highly recommend it for anyone who spends most of their time sourcing for candidates. Happy hunting!
Why does this app update every time it’s opened?
So annoying
Reply from candidates
The auto reply that I received form the candidates is good but this is creating an unnecessarily and not so important conversation between the recruiter and candidates, this also does not give an opportunity for the candidates to share their contact details at the start making it difficult for a recruiter to easily connect. Several days following up and waiting time for conversion to take place on LinkedIn inbox
So efficient! I love this app!
This app is nothing short of fantastic! Everything about it is just like being on the desktop and it is very convenient. I just wish I could edit my template messages in the app; other than that it’s great.
Save your money
This platform is garbage. Don’t get locked in to a long term contract. Search tools are hard to use and clunky and outdated. They don’t invest in making their product better because they are the only game in town
Overall good
Happy to have this app, but where are my project folders?
Very dated with limited functionality
Needs a MAJOR update. Still ok for notifications and messages, but far behind their general app aimed at users who don’t pay for RPS
Good but...
I would like to see the people that applies to my open position and with the app I can’t do that.
This app is beez kneez status in my book
Especially for when you gotta work without access to your desktop computee and only gotta phone/iPad on hand - 🫶🏻
No customer service
The recruiter linked in app is no longer functioning for me on the iPhone. Good luck getting anyone to really help from LinkedIn. I have never seen a choice for resolution “I’ve given up trying”. It’s the truth.
Impressed
I am very impressed with the improvements to this app. Very user friendly.
Poor
This app is relatively useless versus the computer program. Especially disappointing is the messaging which only shows incoming messages and not outgoing to contacts. Hopefully many more improvements are forthcoming.
Pretty good
It’s great. My only suggestion is to allow more in mails. And why do I need a nickname when posting a review? I cannot help that my nickname is taken and cause it is, it isn’t posting.
I’m a big fan of LI Recruiter
There is no other tool like this.
Linked is lost
Dropped my premium account I had for both myself and as an employer. I don’t need another platform to look at more political posts. As an Employer: Seems the site is no longer really about gaining applicants or making meaningful business connections. Most people don’t respond or even apply through linked anymore. As an Employee: Employers/recruiters aren’t really reaching or trying to attract people to positions. Only positions people aggressively reach out to you about is all commission based jobs or trying to get you to buy some service. I loved the idea of linked in. However, I think it’s headed into a position of no return if the company doesn’t figure out it’s purpose and how to deliver it.
Finally!
The Recruiter app used to be the lowest ROI of any app I’ve had, considering the high price of LinkedIn Recruiter and low functionality. The app is now a power app, doing much of what is handled from the web app, in a very simple interface. I plan to start actually using this more now. The only immediate complaint I have, and hence 4 stars instead of 5, is that messaging lacks the ability to change project status directly. Since I use the web/desktop for mostly proactive work and the mobile for reactive, the most useful activity for me on mobile is to review and reply to messages, while updating project status. The current interface requires going into the profile, making the status updates about 6 clicks instead of 1-2. Easy enough for 3 messages, but when I have 100 to update to, that’s an additional 300+ clicks and about 5 minutes of work. More critically the break in flow of going into the profile increases my chances of getting distracted. I get distracted easily. Overall, great app, though. Thank you!
Ok
Needs more 'project' capabilities. It's functionality is poor. Does do much more than the normal app
Underwhelmed
To say this is a bare-bones app would be an understatement. It's borderline useless. The messaging is so rudimentary and the search logic is "ok" at best.
Exexutive Search Consultant
LinkedIn was/is a total GAME CHANGER for an executive search professional. I use to have to try very quickly when I reached someone to get the person’s background Years doing their current job and prior jobs With LInkedIn it is ALL right there
Zero support for this tool
If you use this feature do not expect to find any live support, online or by phone. The online chat button seems to magically appear and disappear. If all goes well, this tool seems fine enough, but that’s a big gamble for the money you’re spending.
Fantastic new application!
I am extremely satisfied with the new LinkedIn Recruiter Mobile app! It’s everything you could want as a recruiter. You can isolate specific conversations, send attachments, get notifications, and do everything you need to do as a recruiter from just your phone. It’s user friendly and visually pleasing. The only reason why I rated 4/5 stars instead of 5 is that it came much later than it should have. This kind of application should have been available a long time ago. Glad they finally fixed it, as the old one was completely dead and useless. It was not even worth using, and a complete eye sore to deal with. Overall, very happy about this.
Good when it works
I was pleasantly surprised by this app becoming available, and how well it lets me handle basic LI recruiter functions on my phone, but over the past 72 hours I am completely unable to open it. It crashes whenever I attempt to open the app. Please fix, as this is a useful tool when I'm not in the office.
Works Fine!
Kindly make changes in app by giving option of filtering unread messages which is not available at the moment. Second allow person to attach file from mobile while responding to candidate. Rest things work fine with me. Thank you!
