Great app that can be usable with iPhone 7 and 11
The updates have been getting better, and landscape works good, and doesn’t mess up the mixer mains. since our church uses a Studio 32.4.2AI, it remains very functional!
Good mixer, garbage app
This app has had multiple issues since I bought my Presonus StudioLive 24R a year ago. Failures connecting, failures updating, failures launching. I can now only get the app to connect with an outdated version on an old Samsung tablet. My new iPhone and iPad will not connect. This is a deal breaker when it IS the control surface for the mixer. How am I supposed to use my $1,000 mixer when the free app interface is worthless?
Volume Fader Missing
Essentially a good app. A few things that could be better: - Instrument Icons Sync from Mixer - Volume Fader for Aux -> what I mean by that is, that I want to control the output of that aux via this app If the volume fader is added, this app will get 5 ⭐️
Unreliable
When it works, it’s cool! It just isn’t reliable. Fixing app this should be top priority for Presonus, because it makes some of their best features completely irrelevant.
Very buggy
Please update this app. It’s very inconsistent and does not work as well as it should. Great app in theory, just needs bugs worked out of it.
Ignore old bad reviews
App still has a low rating because people were quick to leave a bad review when the app was unstable 7-8 years ago but not many have left a positive review when it became rock solid shortly after. I’ve been using a 16R for 3-4 years with 2-3 band members using the Qmix app to control their IEM mixes. As long as you use a stable WiFi router, the entire setup is as solid as it gets. The Qmix app is super handy and well thought out. Selecting the channels that are “Me” so that you can simply use the Me/Band balancing wheel in portrait mode is genius. Don’t hesitate to jump into the Studiolive ecosystem.
Poor App
We have had numerous problems with the app. To this day I am still unable to connect my phone with this app.
Needs to be able to unmute channels!
This app is good, but one of the main pitfalls is you can’t see what channels are muted in your assigned aux mix! In our case we use these mixes for in ears and everyone has the app to control their mix, but they have to rely on the sound person to unmute channels in that mix. It would make sense to have the ability to see and mute/unmute channels within your mix right from the app.
Big Problem: Screen Won’t Rotate
In theory, this app is amazing. Having control over each instrument, vocal, or other channel to customize my monitor is a dream. In reality, ever since I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro, the screen won’t rotate for me to be able to adjust the levels of each channel, rendering the app mostly useless. My portrait lock isn’t on: other apps work just fine. This seems to be a programming glitch for this app specifically. If someone would fix that, this app would be a wonderful tool.
Landscape mode
My church has used this app for several weeks now with little issues. However, this past week, the levels for two separate mixes defaulted back to an unknown default setting and would not allow us to adjust levels until closing the app and reopening. This is a huge issue with live performances as several instruments in the mix suddenly change volume levels. In addition to this recent issue, several phones have not been able to use the landscape setting and therefore they cannot adjust levels at all. This is also a vital issue as the app is basically useless to those individuals. Please update this app and correct these bugs. I noticed it’s been 2 years since an update and reading through the reviews, these are common issues and my problem is by no means unique.
This is good!
I use the 32R and this is a fantastic way of giving your IEM users control of there mix. I rarely even listen to a foldback mix now unless I think a user is struggling to hear what they are doing, usually it’s because they are turning everything up and not listening for what can be turned down:)!

Do not update
New update no longer lets me scan in my surface. I did not update on my iPad and it work fine. Presonus - please advise.
Great App -Disastrous Battery drain
Qmix -uc works very well but it is a severe battery drainer. Did a gig last night with it on iphone 10. Started with 95% battery charge and every other app purposely shut down so the phone resource would only be dedicated to using Qmix -uc. By the end if the gig my battery drained to 10% batter charge!!!! Other members in the group had similar results. Please work to address this battery drain issue and this app otherwise will be a valuable asset.
Perfect App For Wireless Control
I read many of the negative reviews.... There’s a difference problems with an app and problems with device being used with the app Did you update your device (iPhone/Android) Is the firmware on your router up to date When you have the latest updates and the latest firmware THIS APP WORKS FLAWLESSLY I work for several church and club venues. I literally use every mixer out there Midas Line 6 Allen Heath Yamaha Presonus is crushing their competition UPDATE ALL YOUR GEAR AND THIS APP WORKS EVERY TIME
Landscape mode?
We’re forced to use the iPad version to control the mix. Landscape doesn’t work. Needs to be fixed.
Not working with iOS 12.2
The app doesn’t sync with the Studiolive 32 since I updated my iphone to ios 12.2. It was working well before. Now it detects the device but can’t choose any mix/aux or can’t see any fader.

Love this app!
As both a musician and an audio engineer this app is great! Gives musicians the ability to adjust their own monitor mix while freeing up the sound engineer to focus on mixing FOH without having to spend money on personal monitor systems and being limited to 16 channels.

it may not be that handy if you play lead guitar, but I set the phone on my keyboard and can make quick changes easily. No more getting killed by your buddy’s too hot lead setting. You know it’s coming, just pot it down a bit. I haven’t asked the sound man for a thing in 2 years. An absolute must if you use in-ears
Update blanked out sliders
Was using 32r with iPhone IEM app without a problem until March 30 update now the mix window has grayed out and unusable?? Please fix!!
Eq monitor mix
Would it be possible to put an EQ on the monitor master? The volume control works find but it’s missing some more functions.

Nach dem letzten Systemupdate von apple ging die app zuerst nicht. Es gab allerdings ein schnelles Update von Presonus und nun funktioniert alles super. Klasse app !!!

Three Recomendations
First recomendation A good idea is that the app allow (give us the option with a check box) us to show just the grouped channels when we have enabled the “Groups On” So you can have TWO views: One in the form that are now Other that give the user the ability to groups just the selected channels for group. Second recomendation THE COLOR OF THE INTERFACE CHANNELS Other recommendation is, when the Groups On are disabled make the gray color of the channels a little bit different, is better for the eyes. Ch. 1 DARK GRAY Ch. 2 WHITER GRAY Ch. 3 DARK GRAY Ch. 4 WHITER GRAY Ch. 5 DARK GRAY Ch. 6 WHITER GRAY etc... Third recomendation:Put a feedback button in the app You are doing a great job!
Accessibility?
I am a church pianist, and we have recently switched to PreSonus Audio. As a blind user, I had initial concerns about the accessibility of the app. I was happy to discover upon downloading the app that it was fully accessible. However, with the latest release, VoiceOver reads nothing on the screen. I was disappointed but felt that the app developer might not have considered accessibility. I hoped that an email would get the ball rolling, but when I sent the email, I was told that accessibility had never been tested (as I suspected) and that unless enough people requested it, it probably would not be considered for future releases. This is very disappointing to me since I can no longer control my sound independently and must rely on others to do it for me. I do like the app, but unless accessibility is implemented, I cannot use it and will not recommend it to others.
Terrific battery killer
The app itself is fantastic. Our church has been using this app to control musician’s mixes wirelessly for years. However, it MURDERS every battery. We just compared battery stats, and they were unanimous. It doesn’t matter what software version you’re on or how new your phone is (brand new iphone here). Through leaving the app on and connected for 20 minutes, we usually lose 15-25%. As I said, the app works great, and does exactly what we need. But if the battery issue could be fixed (or at least reduced), that’d be worth a 4-star review. (I don’t believe 1 or 5-star reviews should be taken seriously).

No update ??
So now that i want to use my studio live RM32 AI The app on the iPad works. But the one on my phone to control the mix for each musician. Is not connecting to the mixer ,,, cant even see it on the iPhone app ? Need an update for this guys

Please add the feature so your headphones can play your mix via phone. This would change the game for everyone. You’re a step from it! Please give us this feature.
Great App, better than traditional headphone setup.
I record as mny as 8 musicians at a time. I could have gone the Behringer route for headphone mixers, this is so much better. Studio 192/DP88 combinationation gives me 8 stereo headphone mixes and I only need a stereo TRS female at each station. I have never had a problem. You'll need a reliable wifi router. I recommend your router is dedicated to the system and not connected to the internet, only so that musicians' phones don't start playing notification sounds during a take. Presonus is the best.
Wish it worked
Couldn't get it to work no matter what. Presonus has a long way to go as far as integrating their gear with devices. Plus they are constantly changing the hardware without allowing cross generational usability. Why spend $2k on something that will only be relevant for a year?
