Update Makes Adding Pictures Impossible
Please fix this app. Ever since I updated, I have not been able to add photos to posts, which is one of the main reasons I chose this platform over other choices.
Worst app ever
How is this rated 4 stars? We’ve been forced to use this for multiple years now. What enhancements and “major” improvements could they be possibly be talking about. Nothing improves. Navigation is confusing with menus and empty sections that are never used. Should have just focused on messaging between teacher and parents. But has a terrible calendar, hard to navigate announcements history, and now some sort of rating system called “Interactions” where your kid can be rated? By whom? I clicked it and got a nice little animated donut chart that filled up and told me my child is 0% positive. Same to you, Blooms. Same to you.
Poor update
The update makes it very difficult to message the teacher from a phone. The keypad is now covering the dialog box making it difficult to read what you are messaging.
Meh
Really wish this app worked like Class Dojo, it takes forever to load, and it has constant issues. Like right now, nothing loads, not even the message threads and I was expecting a message from the teacher, but now I can’t even get the message, also don’t like that we can’t communicate with other parents. All in all, it’s very subpar for a charter school app.

Terrible. Stop The Madness!
I loathe this app. But the school uses it. Doesn't solve any communication issues. Enhances existing confusion by adding another layer to the onion. And reinvents every wheel from the dot com era along the way. Only not as good. I wrote a message, attached a photo, and the only option presented to me was "send" on the attachment screen. So I clicked it. It sent the photo and erased the message I wrote like it never existed. That's not normal for a messaging app. Where's the prior art for that? This app is full of idiomatic nonsense. Worth every penny.

Very slow and laggy
Serves its purpose, but the app is very slow and laggy… not great for urgent matters
Just ok
I’ve been using the app for years for my child’s school, some aspects are great but it can be really slow to load information. Also I wish when there is a notification it would tell you what class it’s for or where to find it in the app. I feel like there have been times where I’ve missed important details from my child’s school because I can’t find it.

I absolutely love this app!! My Daughters teacher uses it on a daily basis to keep all parents in the loop. Sharing photos of activities, sending clips to watch with our children to foster healthy communication and so many great ideas. I also love that you can directly get a hold of the teacher. It makes things so much more stream lined. Thank you Bloomz!! Keep growing!

Glitchy and so hard to use. It shouldn’t be this hard to use an app and make posts. Seems like it’s more user friendly on a computer, but the mobile form is awful.
With every update… it gets worse
Seriously disappointed in this company and app. As they have raised subscription rates, this app that I’ve used for many years for my eldest is becoming so dysfunctional and cumbersome. Attempting to leave a comment on a teachers post means that you can only see the text box and can’t see any other sentences/it doesn’t scroll with you as you type. The pictures and posts are so low quality even when we know teacher is posting pics from a newer iPhone. Also. It doesn’t send us notifications consistently when the teacher posts or sends a message. Which is dangerous when a teacher is messaging us because our kid is sick. Even on wifi we can’t view the videos or pictures. Very annoying. It wasn’t like this a year ago.

I used to love using this app for my classroom but since there was an update with AI it has gotten tremendously worse. It is very difficult to use on a phone (which is great for teachers on the go). I would like to keep using this app, but may need to find an alternative if it does not improve. Bloomz staff, it would be great to hear from you so we know you are aware the of issues and working on them. Thank you!!
Useful, but messaging needs work
It’s useful and helpful in communicating with teachers, but the messaging system needs a lot of work. With two kids in the same school, I get updates frequently but when inside the app, it’s hard finding what was sent or which kids teacher sent a message or update.

There’s Got To Be a Better App
Trying to update your profile and check your notifications on this app is like trying to do heart surgery - you need years of schooling to figuring it out. It doesn’t update or save what you try to do. Buttons don’t click. Kind of a useless app.

It’s amazing 😉 but it takes forever to load. Fix that then it’s peeeeerfect!!
New release is buggy!
I’m a school administrator, and this new release has been nothing but problematic. Teachers are having trouble posting, posts aren’t loading for parents, and when I try to view a feed for one of my classes, all groups come up. Please roll this back - it isn’t ready! (I will edit my rating when this is fixed - usually I am a Bloomz fan!)
Frustrating
It can get very frustrating when you have to view photos... videos, I understand but photos? It can be resized so it won’t take ages to view ( yes view and not even download) your children’s photos...that the app becomes useless in this area. But it is still a great tool to get news and updates but not with photos which we all are hoping to get hold to, specially about our precious kids...:(
Don’t hesitate to download
This is a really great app. As a busy parent with running around and doing errands. *forgetful parent* With a click of a button you have the teacher at your fingertips. Easy app to use. I am not handy with apps or anything and this is easy to use. They have a “demo” class room to show you how to use the app. Thank goodness!! Teachers if your reading this, use it!! I will continue to use this.

Notification management is non-existent. Ghost notifications impossible to clear.
Everything all in one - from a mom
This app is so great. I wish I had more time to learn and play with all the features. But as a mom I I have great communication with the teacher from this app. I really loved when she invites you to a parent teacher interview how seamless it is to chooses a date and time, and how easy it was to reschedule a date and time. I did not have to interrupt her nor correspond back and forth via emails Bam! It was all right there. The teacher also hosted a classroom party, in the invited she made a list of what she needed from food to decorations to volunteers. And all we had to do as a parent was tap got it and that item was taken off the list. Again no copying and pasting and thousand emails to deal will. All child correspondence for school in 1 place. 1 App on my phone and when the teacher posts anything we get to see the red dot notification on the top of the App on phone. So we don’t miss a thing.
Messaging has No send button
No send button for sending messages for the longest time. Appeared 1x then disappeared.not effective to send msgs.
Clunky
Bloomz in theory offers a lot of great features. However, I often find it slow to load, or it loads without the information I need to do anything. Several times I have gone to give behavior points and my students just are not there in the app. It often has the red dot to alert me to a message, but when I log in there is nothing there. Or vice versa. I want to love this app, but it just isn’t seamless and I wish it operated smoothly.
Teachers and Parents LOVE this app!
I teach grade 2 and have used Bloomz for a couple years. It’s wonderful to share student learning this way. It also makes it very easy to communicate daily. I always find email threads hard to follow, but with Bloomz all communication is in one place and you can monitor when parents have read a message or viewed a post. The only feature that I wish it had is to be able to post assessment comments to several individual portfolios at the same time. Often students are grouped into similar ability levels and it is too time consuming to comment on each separately.
Unable to add more classroom
I click on bottom right + sign, but the screen does not pop up from Bottom only small window can be seen at bottom thats trying to open

Love the sign up function
Letting parents sign themselves up for parent/teacher interviews was amazing. The posting/communication with parents has also been great. I would really like Bloomz to allow me to easily link parents email to their child’s portfolio. As it stands now, when I want to email a parent, I have a long list of email addresses to choose from - how am I supposed to remember each parents email address?

Love this app to be able to communicate with teachers, the principle and parents! Private or group messages! Really happy our school implemented this!

I’m glad my son is switching schools finally, the Bloomz app has to be the least ok out of all the bad apps including parent square. Why do I still get text instead of notifications on the app? Why is it that I must go to the School website to figure out dates for events/ early outs/ open houses. I really think it has to do with the operators. Unfortunately this is what I’m receiving as the awful service.
Great application, but very slow
The normal usage is very slow, though the application is really good.
Very Glitchy
Rarely loads properly, very glitchy and often closes and I have to restart my phone to get it to work. This has happened on multiple phones.
Stopped working
If you'd have asked last year I'd have said Bloomz was a good app however start of a new term and I'm unable to access as I need to UPGRADE to have critical updates. Been to both the App Store and clicked on upgrade to do this and nothing... now I have no access to Bloomz. Fab 🙄
Love that I can keep up to date without creating too much interruption for the teacher!
I love that I can send me teacher a quick message instead of calling in to the school, and having the receptionist send the teacher a message. I also love how I can get quick updates and the teachers are able to send shared posts for the while class. We all collaborate and share. Makes you feel so included without having to be there :)
New update ruined the app
Unfortunately, since this app updated to include more features such as AI. It hasn’t worked well since. I’ve completed all the troubleshooting recommended over several months and I’m just done trying. Images are blurry. Videos load incredibly slow. None of this was an issue before the app updated to its newest features. I’ll be moving to class dojo instead.
Good app
Brings parents closer to the kids classroom and their activities.
Horrible UX & insecure
The UX layout is terrible confusing - trying to find where/why you have a notification is a process every time. My biggest gripe though is the fact that this app and its website does not use any encryption- it is child’s play to see what data is being sent or received from the app including my child’s information.
Too many notifications
I like the interaction between teacher and parent etc but I get tonnes of notifications every time I log out of the app, literally 32 notifications waiting for me all the time! Very annoying

I wish every teacher used this! It is a great way to communicate and see pictures of your child.
Messages don’t send
Clicking send doesn’t mean that people will get your message. You’ll find it in drafts hours later when you wonder why no response from your teacher.

My app just updated but won't rotate to landscape view which is how I usually view it on my iPad. Please fix this
