Like the title says… I love CUWest, but it would really be great in this day and age, if I could use Zelle through CUWest
Not As Great As They Used To Be
Honestly, I’m at a loss for what has happened to this bank. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, and they’ve always been incredibly helpful. However, since the onset of COVID, their services have taken a significant turn for the worse. Due to their branches only being open when they feel like it, you’re now forced to make remote deposits. Unfortunately, this means that your deposit won’t be posted on the same day because they’ll place a hold on it. Despite being a long-time customer, I’ve never encountered any issues before. Now, out of the blue, I’m facing a problem. I’m genuinely puzzled by their sudden decline in service.
Good app, not great
I think the Credit Union West app is pretty good, but it’s not the greatest it can be. I’m not sure what it would take, but there’s features that I would like that other Credit Unions seem to have, such as Zelle payment integration and access to tools that are otherwise available on full webpage versions. Still it’s a good app, but to make it great, adding the features and matching those of other Credit Unions would give me a higher rating. Still does all necessary things well, just my honest opinion.

Dumbest system ever
So if you get logged out, they don’t send you your membership id anywhere, not in an email, not in your card, not in the mail. It’s NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. So you can’t reset your password, can’t find your username, can’t do anything because you don’t have the member ID # and NO ONE explained you would need it or where to find it. Such a terrible system. Wish I could give negative stats.

Not helpful with fraud issues
I was the victim of ID fraud and CUW wasn’t willing to waive return charges that resulted from my having to close the targeted account and open a new secure one. Some autopay services were unable to be stopped in time due to payment timing. I was penalized for taking corrective action; $35 per failed transaction.The branch manager was abrupt and uninterested in the consequences of the fraud to my financial vulnerability. My loss was their gain. 👎🏼
Assistance with account restriction
I spoke to Chrystal (sp) in your account manager of an area that deals with the accounts that have been restricted due to a recent bankruptcy filing. She was diligent and making certain that the account granted access and extended every court courtesy in doing so. She is an asset to your company. And absolutely wonderful!
Someone used our card on two charges
Someone put two charges on our card with a company that you said has been abusing CREDIT UNION with so you’ve already had many complaints about this company, but yeah, we have waited weeks to get the credit back and you keep saying next week next week never happens. I’m getting sick of waiting I want that money put back in our account. We had to inconveniently come in the bank to get new debit cards. For the second time this year, I want that money put back in our account ASAP

Little disappointed
I just found out here at my local Colorado credit union that CU West is no longer affiliated with shared banking. This will make it much more difficult to stay with CU West, as I live in Denver.

When will you issue the card with the touch feature for easier access when paying at a store instead of inserting it into a machine that can be rigged by thieves?
CUW Mobile App & CC Activation
Snap shot is a very convenient feature where you can easily see your balance in each account without having to login. The login was also easy and accessible. I just activated my CUW credit card today, and the process was smooth and simple to complete using the phone.
What have you done?!
The account figures don't fit on the preview screen anymore! Not an improvement at all.

Friendliest staff ever! Always happy and ready to go above and beyond. The new app is great. One down side. Just hoping for checks to be instantly deposited from a photo. Oh! And tap cards!

Incredibly exceptional Institute and bank
All the people that work at these branches are absolutely incredible. They’re very knowledgeable. They help out we got a wonderful auto loan through Credit Union West so happy to be part of the Credit Union West family plan on being here for quite some time. Love the amenities the way the bank works everything about it you guys rock

The app is ok, it does what it’s intended to do. Every once and awhile you have to log in, but other than that it’s good.
$450 bonus at Buckeye Branch!
Sue Wagner was very helpful in helping me opened a Heritage checking account at their Buckeye Branch where the $450 bonus is applicable. She explained the eligibility requirements. I was able to convince my wife and she opened an account too 2 days ago. I emailed their promo flyers to my West Valley friends.
