Does the Job I just wish they would cut off the driving to off duty or break faster instead of eating driving time during the transition of one of the chooses.
Still haven’t fixed movement issue
It’s been multiple months a ticket supposedly created yet they still have not fixed the issue with movement. Will be switching to another vender asap yet another month goes by and still no fix. Downloaded the update yesterday still no fix . If the truck moves a fraction of an inch the tablet switches to driving. Can’t do a pre trip without it switching do to movement. What a joke . How’s that work order coming guys.

37.0.1 iOS bug
The latest update 37.0.1 for iOS users created a new bug that prevents drivers from being able to open, view, edit, or sign logs beyond 8 days including the current day from within the Big Road app. If I were including today for example, it is October 8, by clicking ‘View Logs’ from the ‘Home’ screen then scrolling through the list down to September 30 then clicking on September 30, I receive a message saying “To view logs older than 14 days, open or sign into Big Road on the web browser”. Subsequently, any logs prior to September 30 such as September 29-September 24 also receive that message. The only way to View, Edit or Sign logs that are 9 days or older is to open the Big Road web browser. This was confirmed with another driver of our fleet who had yet to update the app from the App Store, whom was able to View, Edit or Sign all 14 days of logs from within the app prior to updating Big Road to version 37.0.1. After updating the app to 37.0.1, they were unable to View, Edit or Sign logs from September 24-September 30. I will update the rating once bug is repaired. I will also update review if any future changes occur.

Outstanding, User Friendly
The only problem which is minor, is that it needs a Wi-Fi connection for some functions. Sometimes this makes it impractical.
Unlock status
BigRoad ELD has worked better since I started using it again, but it takes too long to unlock the current status to make the switch to another status. Those seconds could take you into a violation.
BigRoad could equal BigFines
At its best, this ELD is OK. However, you have to always keep an eye on it. There are MAJOR connectivity issues. It will change your duty status, randomly on its own, or not even recognize that you’re driving & change the duty status to driving, for example.

Since the last update the split sleeper doesn’t work at all. I have called in three times last week and it’s still not resolved. Maybe this review will make you get it corrected sooner

Frustrating
App glitches a lot puts you back on duty after you go off duty or puts you on driving, has connection issues and right now as soon as you move the truck an inch it puts you into driving.

We had a really good run with BigRoad. For about two years we hardly had any issues with the software up until 02/12/26 our team started to realize the ELD wasn’t connecting to our truck immediately like it use to. Causing us to make edits more frequently. Personal Conveyance started placing us into drive status automatically, we can no longer creep under five mph without triggering the drive status automatically…In addition, we just had a DOT inspection after realizing our ELD was malfunctioning- our logs wouldn’t download for inspector resulting in a violation to our CSA score. When I reached out to tech support they gave me the troubleshooting steps to complete however, that didn’t work.. They stated they now had the info necessary to help them “find the root of the problem”. As of today 02/18/26 BigRoad is still working on a solution to the problem leaving our carrier vulnerable to DOT inspectors even if we run paper logs. Looking to maybe get refunded some for the trouble we’re experiencing and find a comparable service. I can understand a couple days of malfunctioning, but this is going on two weeks…

I’m happy with the BigRoadELD. There are little issues that sometimes are bedevilling but all the other ELD’s seem to have their own issues to work through. Another operator was tearing his hair out and I was able to show him how to avoid it! A really weird thing is how difficult it is to renew every year, they need to work on that.
Needs to be fixed
When I come to a stop it instantly throws into on duty and when using off duty personal convenience it will take it out and put into drive which messes up the whole day even when I set automatic drive status to off it does it anyway

The ELD is nothing but a communist ankle tag is caused me more hazard problems, then paper and right now it don’t even record the mileage right in this truck. It says I’m in violation most of the time because it’s a electronic piece of garbage.

Starting off my day inspection report when completed don’t appear until after you done about 3-4 and then have to go back and delete the extra ones you made. Many times it does’t put the location and I have to manually input it. Interface takes time to understand and has a mini map thats is useless, doesn’t tell you how much time you have been in duty and when trying to connect as team driver option doesn’t appear in settings. While driving it marks driving/onduty/driving/onduty sometimes. I call customer service one time and couldn’t fix my issue. Main account (office eld person) can’t edit logs from her account and computer has to log in into every driver account to edit their logbooks. Can’t edit Driving into Yard Move. Edit add can’t edit past duty statues parts where not all driving was on duty. A complete mess of a eld software wrongs inputs all the time on/off duty too much information not needed I dont need on the eld if truck is on or off or intervence.

I had a very bad experience with BigRoad ELD. I canceled my subscription, but they still charged my account afterward. This is completely unacceptable and feels dishonest

The app still needs work doesn’t perform properly all the time some days this thing works perfect. Next day. It is a horror show.
