Does what I want
I wanted a way to import files from my voice memos app to create and loop playlists. This app has fulfilled that purpose perfectly. My friends will share files on Google Drive and I can upload them directly into Sonora. For the next update I would like to see some features added to the playback screen: a heart button to quickly add the file to a favorites playlist, a 10 or 30 sec rewind and fast forward button. Also I would like to multi-select files in Loose Tracks to quickly delete them after I have sorted them into albums.

Non si può spostare i file audio dal Mac
Io per scelta ho disinstallato App Musica dal mio iPhone, ma senza quella app non possibile utilizzare SONORA. Col Mac eseguo correttamente il drag e drop ma poi nel App Somora non trova i file audio. peccato sembrava bella

Great music player
I’ve been using this app for a month now to listen to .flac files ripped from some of my old CDs, and it has been fantastic. The app looks and functions great, and I’ve really enjoyed using it. The one thing the app doesn’t do that I wish it did is highlight the currently playing song somehow. If the current song could have blue text or something instead of the standard color, that would be perfect.
lack of options
looking for something like Musicolet. this app is very very very simple and bare minimum and doesnt even have light mode. theres not even a settings anywhere. not even sure if the app is safe. also shuffle is ON by defualt. how dumb is this. u CANNOT disable it. soon as u click a song its back on again. idiotic
Needs 2 EASY fixes to be 5 stars
Fix #1: Turn auto shuffling off OR have the option to disable it. Every time you select a song, shuffle mode turns on, which is very annoying for when you’re trying to cycle through songs in an album or playlist. Fix #2: Make it so hitting the “previous” button on the first song in a playlist/album goes to the last song. The app currently doesn’t do this. Please consider these changes, because this app is damn near perfect 🙏
Opus not properly supported
What the title says… support for .oga files (the standard ogg container for opus audio) is half baked at best. Audio plays fine, but album art and ID3 tags aren’t loaded at all

- can’t delete single song - can’t recognize cover and artist - can’t display songs in other orders - crash when song not in disk

The app barely works. Every time you want to play a track and loop it, at one point it will switch to another track without doing anything.
Good music player overall, things to be improved on
The app is great for listening to music! I especially like that there are no ads, and you can listen offline without paying for a subscription like Spotify premium. That said, the app could use better organization/personalization features, such as: 1. custom playlist order 2. custom artist image 3. easier playlist making. currently, adding songs to a playlist from within the playlist forces you to choose from a list of every song. it would be great to be able to select all songs from an artist or all songs from select albums. 4. custom album order editing Thanks

A nearly perfect music app
I’ve started using this app daily, it has completely replaced streaming. It just needs 3~ small changes. 1. The ability to add release years to albums/tracks, and sort by release. 2. Any form of customization, some simple color sliders would do the trick. 3. A small touch up to the actual playback screen, it’s just a little awkward, the album cover, name, and artist are just weirdly small. This app is still amazing though, would recommend.
Buggy and strange
Wont recognize files if in 2nd level folder. Loose files or organized in a mess. NO FOLDER VIEW? Some files wont even play back even though it is fully compatible. It's free so can't complain. i guess you get what you pay for. For some reason it created copies of the music files in the Loose Tracks folder. What a mess! Music that has been removed has to be manually removed via app. It will not sync and remove. Will only add new tracks. Really really tedious and weird. Must delete from "albums" and "loose tracks" columns. This is really ridiculous. The is more trouble and manual work than it should be. If you delete 100 tracks, you will have to delete over 100 entries. WTF! You have to delete "loose tracks" one by one, cannot select all. Deleting the app and reinstalling is the only way to clear it all at one go. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A APP like THIS. just stick to VLC. this is stupid.
Great app, cancelled Spotify
Only downside is I don’t think there is gapless playback. If this was added this app would be 5 stars. It’s simple, easy to use, free, and the ui is clean. Edit: after using more, still a great app, just a few quality of life changes would be nice. There’s some small stuff that doesn’t matter too much like an albums runtime, but a couple features that would make this app on par with streaming is highlighting the song in an album or playlist that is currently playing, the ability to import tracks as a playlist so you don’t have to go click them all and add them to a playlist after importing, and sometimes when importing an album, the tracks will get shuffled around, despite being numbered correctly. Still a really great app despite these missing features, saves me money from streaming, and I can have unreleased music too.
Great app! Just one request
I’m really grateful for this app, the only issue I’m having is the way the loose tracks are organized, there are options to arrange them by “first added” and alphabetically, but what I really want is the option to arrange them by “last added” so that I don’t have to scroll all the way down. I title my tracks very specifically for my own purposes, so with the collection of more and more tracks I can see the scrolling getting tedious. If an option for “last added” in loose tracks arrangement can be added easily for the next update I would appreciate it, thanks so much.
Amazing
I love this app so much. Even the small details like putting my own photos on the cover of albums/songs. It is definitely a great app to use for music I am so glad I found this app.

Love this app and the idea of it. I think there’s still issues with importing OPUS files where their track number is not being parsed correctly. Fixing that would make this a 5 star app
Sweet
It’s easy to import music from mp3 websites like u can go on free mp3 websites n etc so u technically don’t need to use a PC or laptop n u can import music from your devices but make sure to never use free music from websites for other than your own personal usage but yeah this app is cool so far 😊

I don’t think you fixed the track number bug
All of my tracks on my Mac have their correct track numbers, but on my iPhone in Sonora, most of them are track 0. I have mp3, m4a, and flac files.
Needs Siri Support
This app would be perfect if it had support with Siri but according to it that feature hasnt been added yet. Still a great app.
Real damn solid app
I've been using this to play my music for about two months and I don't see any reason I'd stop using this app. It's got a nice system where you can edit track organization and metadata in-app, and it organizes artists WITH their features. It's really, really good. I wish there was a way to see what my most played songs are, like what classic Winamp does.
Great MP3 player w/ room for improvement
I used to use the iOS Music app for my local files ripped from CDs. After receiving a free Apple Music subscription trial, I realized the included automatic iTunes Match feature had ‘eaten’ those files and overwritten the tracks and cover art with Apple’s cloud versions. It was super frustrating as someone who enjoys curating a library of owned physical media, so Sonora has been my fix for this problem until the subscription expires. It works very well for its intended purpose as a stripped-back, offline music player with full user control over metadata. I do have some suggestions for a few QOL improvements, such as: -Option to add album genre and release year metadata -Support for multi-disc albums as one listing rather than two separate albums -Showing track number toggle in album UI -Add a star/favorite/pin feature for albums and individual songs -Add an ‘all songs’ tab to go with the shuffle all button that can be sorted by favorites/artist/year/etc. and includes loose tracks -Add support for M4A files if possible -Easier or more streamlined way to import via computer transfer. The current instructions using iTunes include an old version that is much harder for me to access currently. My process for adding files so far has been converting M4As to MP3 when needed, uploading the album to Google Drive, and then opening each track one at a time in Sonora, so it takes a while. Any delay in doing this at a steady pace often also freezes syncing and requires adding the rest of the files directly into the album’s Sonora file folder and then re-syncing in the app. Not sure if this could be solved via a direct USB folder transfer or something else? Very glad that this app exists. Hope to see more updates in the future!
A must for those escaping streaming
This app is perfect for those who choose to own their music rather than subscribe to a service. Importing your library is very easy and the app itself runs very smoothly. It was previously a pain to listen to MP3 files on iPhones, but not anymore!

This is the best option I could find, I only have 3 easy requests to make this app perfect: 1. A way to bulk select songs to add to playlist and delete all 2. A way to see how many songs total I have 3. A way to like/favorite songs Thank you!
