App crashes while adding beneficiary
App crashes test cases and crash logs would help to find n fix
Statement issue
I am expecting date and time for statements. Each transaction shows only date. Even in pdf also it shows date only. Not able to figure out when transaction is happened. If time added it could be helpful. Thanks
Full of advertisements
This app has functionality presented in a very convoluted manner and ensures you see hdfc product ads more prominently. Shameless adware. Unfortunately its the only way to interact with the bank on mobile
Default Keyboard issues
Not all special symbols available on the app based keyboard. Was not able to login on mobile app due to this issue.

On my iPhone Pro, the app feels noticeably slower and less responsive compared with other apps and even some games. Several interactions, including the Logout option and touch responses within the app, take noticeably longer than expected. The overall experience would be much better if the interface and touch interactions were smoother, faster, and more responsive. Please consider optimizing the app’s performance, particularly touch responsiveness, navigation, and frequently used controls, to provide a more seamless and user-friendly experience.
Worst user experience - Offers on Home Screen
After logging you are getting bombarded with too many offer banners for credit card, Personal loans, etc. if you click on something by mistake you will get many calls which is of useless. There special offers for you section which is also showing the same offers and meaning less. Compared to previous version is great but it’s better to show only the actual important account related info on the screen instead bombarding user with offer banners which causing worst user experience.

It’s a pain to check your statement
I tried downloading the statement and it’s not an easy user experience to verify your statement. You are already doing so many layers of authentication. Why do you still need a password to open the statement ? Though the format you gave is not working as password with my 4 letters of first name and DOB. Sometimes I feel Indian banking system thinks too much and nothing makes sense.
Fix login screen
Hi, Request you to fix login screen where we have to input MPIN. Once we click on the box to enter MPIN, iOS keyboard pops up but there is delay in input due to another menu popping after clicking empty box. This is ‘Reach us More’ menu right above numerical keyboard. This cause delay in entry and therefore errors in typing MPIN. Please fix this popping menu or put it in different location.

In the era of free credit card Hdfc bank make hidden charge of Rs 2950…which is totaly hidden…cred shows the hidden charge to me
Cluttered and Slow Transfer
The app is much better than most competitors but the pages are cluttered with too much information and money transfer for the first time is very restrictive.
App not user friendly.
I find the bank app difficult to use and not very user friendly. The front page feels too congested with too many options and features displayed at once, which makes navigation confusing. It would be better if the app had a cleaner and simpler home page with only most important services visible initially. Adding a customisable home page would greatly improve the overall user experience.
Mobile number Validation require
The old app was working fine now with the new version it needs SMS to be send from your registered mobile number . How it’s possible for non resident customers to send SMS to India without an international roaming. Bank need to revert to old validation system.

Poor design
One of the most silly design choices HDFC seems to have made in the “you are logged in” somewhere else. Why can’t I be logged in at two places? As long as authenticate, what is your problem. Ok fine, lets, for whatever reason say you have to be logged into only one place. Give me an option to logout the other session and login in here. You expect me to go back and logout from the other device? In my care it was in a browser and I destroyed the session. I has to login again in the browser, just so I could logout. Such poor design. Ok, lets add on top of that - I was logging into my account from my laptop, after authenticating, it said I had to go to the app and approve. After approving it now says I have another session. I opened the app because you forced me to. It is not even smart enough to know I opened the app to approve the message. Come on guys. This is not rocket science. I already tried it twice, same message. I have closed the app long ago. How long do I have to wait now? No idea, nothing communicate. As it is annoyingly difficult to login because you don’t allow password managers to paste password, because some imaginary security benefit in that, so have to type the long random password in every time. So how long do I wait to try again? This is not good. Please fix it. Other than this one, very annoying issue, your app is one of the best I have ever used.
App is good but every options running slow and no option to view card details
App interface is great I feel that sometimes when I click some options like transaction or statement the response is taking more than 4-5seconds Also the cards section is not useful especially if I want to see my card details it doesn’t allow to see card details like 16 digit numbers and expiry date and cvv etc. purpose using mobile app i believe is to no carry card always with hand but having app and still need card in hand is not good
Login issues
It seems like the app goes through a lot of maintenance. Yesterday it was not letting me login kept on saying that an app was open.
Good & Functional
The new designed app is good to use and functional. It’s very responsive. It takes sometime to understand where the menus have got buried. Once you know it, it’s easy. May be an add on self help tutorial can help.
Worst NetBanking experience ever!
The HDFC Bank NetBanking app is becoming extremely frustrating to use. UPI registration is not working properly, and the payee name often doesn’t appear when making a payment. I have to refresh the page repeatedly just to get the basic details to load. Instead of saving time, the app is consuming a significant amount of my time for simple banking transactions. This needs urgent improvement. One of the worst NetBanking experiences I’ve had so far.
Switching from old to this now i cant login
I was using the old hdfc app and now u guys block that app and this app can’t verify from sms and giving the custom id is still giving errors what to do now ??
Asking to register every time
On iOS 26 iPhone 17 the app asks to register again almost every 24 hours Could be a iOS issue (Android seems not to have this issue)
Significant Imrovements
Pleased with the new version of the app. Really happy that I was able to get the UPI payment activated via the app.
Sep 2026 Release rendered Inaccessible with Voice Over
No fields are being announced by Voice Over for blind users as it was till August. Was seeing some improvements viz slide pay buttons working on single clicks, labels and operability for duration field in FD screen, etc. Come Sep release and everything is now mute (equal to blank screen) for screen reader users - stuff renders but not spoken or focused at all.
Too many ads
I like the more modern UI. However, there are too many ads and irrelevant things shown. For example, under the cards menu, the first tile is an ad asking to apply for a new card. Second and third tiles are my cards. Fourth and fifth tiles are also ads for different types of cards. So, 3/5 tiles are irrelevant to me. If I wanted to apply for a card, I expect the option to be a bit further away, not something I have to look at every day. Then there’s a carousel of ads below that. Overall, I wish for a more customer focused app that wouldn’t clutter the screen with ads.
