Engaging and Encouraging
Engaging way to get peer feedback on photo submissions
Financial fraud
I am a professional photographer and I’ve been waiting for my $100 payout since February 5th. My RAW files were requested and SUCCESSFULLY verified by their team. They officially confirmed the payout via email, claiming "internal financial issues." Now, two months later, they are ignoring all my emails and have completely DELETED my transaction record from the "Redemption History" in the app. The points were never returned to my balance. This is a clear case of withholding earned funds and tampering with financial records. DO NOT USE THIS APP. It is a scam. I have all the screenshots as proof of their confirmed debt and the subsequent disappearance of my data.
Best
Best app for upload pics.
🤩
I was giving thought to downloading and participating, but…I don’t like to have my favorite photos out in the world to only have others claim them (it’s inevitable)
Has issues
How to add a title ? Won’t return points if mistakenly add a photo before voting starts
Fun and addictive!
I love entering the contests and getting to vote and be inspired by other photographers’ work! It’s so fun and completely addictive.
Hand over your work
A quote from the Terms & Conditions of this app: „This User Licence allows us to use all submitted Content for promotional and other purposes at our sole discretion, without compensation.“ This is not acceptable business conduct.
Love it
Still there is scope of improvement
Voting system is confusing
The voting system is not communicated properly. It present 2 choices and when I want to choose want, the app warn me asking am I sure that I want to vote before seeing all the pictures. So I keep skipping to see all pictures and suddenly got another pop up saying I reach a limit to my skip quota.
Good all around app!
The app have come a long way with many adaptations and changes! But as anticipated the reward system started to dwindle with the increase in active users. However the rewards are not the main reason for us to enjoy this app and the photography, it is still a good app/platform for photographers. The downside of a reward based system is cheating and repeating cheaters! No matter how hard you try there will always be the incentive for certain people to pursue the financial rewards and this takes away from the fairness and contribution from all the players who are genuine. Finally, I have been on the list to run a challenge since running challenges by users was introduced which lacks transparency towards the loyal members!
Gets You Engaged!
First time here. It takes some “figuring out” and I am still learning…and the low key legit competition is interesting and engaging.
A great challenge
Long time 500px user, enjoying the challenge of.Pulsepx. Standard high, and nice structure and timing to the competition, and an opportunity to vote for fellow photographers.
Great
the last account I creat was suspended after my effort and work I got for the app.pls do something about it,I lost my coin and manny more.(dvicnature) my world.
Greatness
Black Excellence
Many Contests
EDIT: I have lowered the rating for this app. I feel this app doesn’t support beginners whatsoever and actually has taken exp points for not doing good in a contest. I have had a photo DQ’ed without explanation (I followed guidelines) while other photos get voted above mine and don’t follow guidelines. Sadly this app promotes over-produced photos and minimizes amateur photographers IMO This app allows for you to enter your pics and go up against others. This is enjoyable but without spending money it’s hard to enter into many of the contests. The functionality of the app is good overall but voting for other pics is not intuitive enough but overall the app works well **Disclaimer I rarely give 5 stars. There is usually room to improve.**
Not sure
So the app is okay at best I guess. Some issues are firstly, there seems to be a lot of people posting pics that are NOT THEIRS. Secondly there seems to be a lot of professional photographers on here which I don’t understand why a pro would be on an app that has no real cash prizes. Finally most of the people who vote, it seems that they would not know photography art even when it falls into their lap. The pictures that people call art is mind boggling and not in a good way. Prizes that the app does offer could be better also, but I’ll give it a bit longer try out.
About 1 month in
I have enjoyed what I’ve experienced so far, much more rewarding and meaningful than sharing my work on Instagram and other sites.
Puritanical nonsense / A nice idea but no growth opportunities
Update: My accounts were deleted, and customer service has been unhelpful. They claim that I violated some policy. I am a nude fine artist with bodies in forests and on mountains. There is barely anything to see, and besides — the way the app works is you connect it to 500px, and import from your portfolio on 500px. Why would the policies be different when they are connected? It makes no sense. Ironic too because my photos were winning the contests. So who exactly had a problem with it? A bunch of puritan bible thumping nonsense. Original review: I will admit that I don’t understand the long term benefits of using this app. I’m a longtime user of 500px, where you can present your portfolio and get followers and likes and it links back to your professional site. In comparison, PULSEpx feels “cute.” Like, awe you’re trying to be something but not quite making it. There is more opportunity to win tiny amounts of prize money but even then it’s split between multiple people. I won first place and got a whopping $6 because I didn’t realize the first place prize was split between ten winners. And I don’t understand the growth opportunities. No one can follow you, there are no links to your professional work. What is the point besides getting a few pennies a day in prize money? I genuinely don’t understand and maybe I’m missing something.
Great App!!
Great place to share my photos.
Good but not all the time works properly
App is good but often it take off your stars but don’t let you upload photo …

Scammers!
These are scammers! They just write off the likes that people put on your photo. I made screenshots on purpose and made sure of it. I have saved all the screenshots, the disappearance of a large number of likes in 1 day can only be explained by the fact that these scammers interfere with the voting process🤷🏽👎🏼
Whats Good
Looking Forward to great things from this app! And hope it continues to be great and not like Flickr and 500px where it seems just like nothing happens 👌🏿
Has potential
I love the idea and I thank 500px and Pulsepx team for creating this. However we need more diverse/spot on themes for the quests. I’ve notice lots of the top photos are always landscapes and or animals. That’s great for all the hobbyist but there are many pro strobists, portrait and fashion photographers not getting any love. Hopefully there are people on the team that have experience in all fields of photography.
Fair and Trustworthy photo experience
As a beginner Vector Artist and photography enthusiast I love Pulsepx
Ai moderation
If you can’t moderate with a human team then you’re screwing over your users who consistently get mis-flagged by robots. Other than that, there’s entirely no point to this app - no social aspect, no way to comment or even save other people’s work. Just a cash grab by 500px

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unjust Ban and Non-Delivery of Rewards from PLUSEpx Team
I have been participating fairly in all the competitions hosted by the PLUSEpx team using the account “kyawkyaw0123”. I exchanged my earned 2000 coins for a $20 gift card, but it didn’t arrive immediately. After consulting ChatGPT, I was informed to wait 5 to 7 days. While continuing to participate in their competitions, I waited for my reward. However, on September 22, 2024, instead of receiving the $20 gift card via email, my account was banned without any explanation. I was shocked because I had not violated any of their stated terms and conditions. When I reached out to the PLUSEpx team, I received no response. This is a clear example of unethical behavior and a gross violation of consumer rights. I am genuinely surprised that Apple Store allows such a fraudulent app on its platform without proper vetting. I kindly request that the relevant authorities take appropriate action. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

So far I’m really enjoying it. Could be some small UI things but not much!
