The game is cute but the prices for the upgrades are too high for the amount of coins earned which makes the game no longer enjoyable unless you’re spending money.

Good game but no update
I really enjoy this game but haven’t played in months because there is no update. It’s been saying “coming soon” for 5 months. I only come back to get my free daily coins and gems.

Frustrating Bug That Makes Upgrades Pointless
I really wanted to enjoy Happy Restaurant, but there’s a serious issue with staff upgrades. I spend coins or tokens to level them up, only to find a few levels later that they’ve fallen behind again as if I never upgraded them at all. It makes the progress feel fake and discouraging. Because of this, I refuse to purchase any coins or diamonds, and I don’t recommend spending real money on this game until this problem is fixed. It’s disappointing, because the concept is fun but the glitch takes away from the experience.
What happened to the events and battle pass?
I really liked this game, now all of a sudden there are no events, and no monthly battle pass. Is this game shutting down or something????

Where did the mini games go?
I really liked this game, but all of a sudden there are no more mini games. Is this a me thing, or did they do away with them? I feel like I need those extra prizes to progress. My game also doesn’t show the free/pay “battle pass.
Fun but no clear reset option yet.
I like this game, however despite what the settings tell you there isn't a way to reset your progress unless you install it on a completely different device. On the plus side when I contacted the support team to ask further questions they were very punctual in their response and reassured me that they will consider adding the feature in a future game update. I look forward to seeing what this game will be in the future. 😊

You used to be able to watch ads but they took that option away. This game isn’t as fun as it used to be without spending money.

you can win without paying
……but you will need to be smart and watch a LOT of ads. if you cannot watch an ad for +30% boost, i would stop playing until the ads refresh. you also need to watch all of the free ads for the day and complete all of the weekly challenges that give you 200 ads at the end. you also need to try very hard to get two keys after every level because those chests make a difference. try to save your boosts for emergencies (you can’t pass a level without upgrading and you don’t have the resources or you don’t want to spend them). if you don’t want to go in your wallet, you will need to have strategy and a lot of patience. i find the money management piece challenging but the gameplay itself is not, unless you are trying to play with no upgrades which is literally impossible. the main reason for the 3 stars is customer support. i’ve reported multiple glitches and sometimes the ads don’t pay as they should and they will gaslight you and provide very little assistance or reimbursements. it’s kind of silly for a small mobile game. i have been close to purchasing packages but have ultimately chosen not to because of how difficult support is when there’s an issue. EDIT: i don’t know who or what is responding to your reviews but that was not an appropriate response to what i wrote. removing a star
Fun but buggy
Good game. Have to be strategic to win without paying. My auto regeneration lives feature has not worked for over a month. I have to watch commercials for lives. Help feature on app does not work to report problem.

You can NOT win without paying
I love these type games, and this one is good…But don’t get hooked…Most levels are impossible without opening your wallet. I’m completely fine paying to play, but this one is ridiculous. Way overly expecting you to pay, pay, pay. Sometimes multiple spends to get through one level.

Fun but becoming stressful and pay-to-win
I really enjoy Happy Restaurant it’s fun, super addicting, and has great potential. But after a while, it starts to feel more frustrating than fun. You only get 60 seconds to earn 800+ coins, but customers tip just 4–6 coins. Upgrades cost 1,700+ coins and keep increasing each level. It’s almost impossible to keep up unless you watch ads every round or spend real money. Waiters move too slow, and if you can’t afford upgrades, the level becomes unwinnable. I want to keep playing, but it’s getting too stressful. Please rebalance the coin system so players can actually progress without needing to pay or grind nonstop.

Really fun game with lots of free rewards!
This is a great game, there’s lots of free play and easy ways to get freebies so you can progress without spending money. Some levels are challenging and you have to lose a few times to save up enough coins to buy upgrades but with a little patience it’s easily done. Great fun game highly recommend!

Broken doughnuts order
I love this game it’s super addictive but on the second restaurant when the phone order calls asking for doughnuts I’m putting them by the phone and it’s saying I am failing the level because it’s not accepting the doughnuts I’m putting down .. it’s really frustrating when I no full well that they are there! The game just doesn’t register that. Please fix this so I can continue otherwise I will never pass the level as I can’t loose a customer.
Quickly devolved into money grab
This game is cute and fun to play. At first. But by time you get to about your third restaurant, there’s a tipping point where you cannot move forward without spending a lot of money to keep up with the constant upgrades required to actually win a round. It’s practically impossible to move forward without a continuous investment of real money to get coins and diamonds to upgrade your kitchen features. I tried playing for several days without spending any more money and I couldn’t move forward at all. It’s not really possible. And that makes me sad because it’s a fun game. But in the end, it’s a huge money pit. Don’t get me wrong; I’m the type who will spend some money here and there on games I really like. But this game unfortunately is so greedy for your dollars that you absolutely cannot win and advance without investing a ton of money.

I recently downloaded this game and I love it. I’m only on the first restaurant but it’s fun and challenging.
False advertising
The ad shows you’re at a grill adding ingredients to a burger or salad. The real game is seating customers in a restaurant and tapping a different location to send the server to pick up food. It’s a stupid game so I deleted it.

Fun but frustrating
I’m currently in the Thai restaurant and have spent quite a bit of money to get there. The expense of automated table cleaning and automated fan or vacuum (or whatever) is ridiculous. Also, upgrading the service time of all the chefs to be able to play at optimum efficiency is not possible without spending money. As soon as you have upgraded all the chefs, and often before you have upgraded all chefs, it goes immediately to a harder level. You don’t even get to have a few rounds at optimum service speed. It feels very much like a rip off. You should get at least 2 or 3 rounds of play once you have upgraded all chefs before you are required to start upgrading again. I really enjoy this game but I am about ready to delete it. It’s just not a fair game.
Good Game until recent update
This game was really good until the last update. The daily free videos don’t load, and some of the levels have no volume, it’s not my device because there is sound on the adverts.

Fun but is pay to play
I just wanna start off by saying that I really enjoy this mobile game and have put in many hours. It is definitely a pay to play type game, and I have spent a good amount of my hard earned money. The most frustrating thing is once you get to the third restaurant, it becomes even more pay to play.. suddenly things are more expensive, coins are very hard to obtain, the restaurant layout is impossible, and you constantly fail levels until the games algorithm realizes you can’t pass because you’re refusing to pay for the upgrades, that it lets you pass. However, you will continue to struggle constantly because they make it extremely hard to earn coins. And lives cost 150 diamonds to refill, which is insane. I really enjoy this game, it’s just sad how greedy and predatory the developers become after somebody has spent so much time grinding through the first two restaurants…. Not to mention the automatic clean tables upgrade jumping up an extra 500 diamonds after the third restaurant. That is ridiculous. I don’t see myself finishing the third restaurant due to pure frustration and greediness of the developers.

It's so hard
I keep on upgrading the chef's but everytime you level up it goes back to the same time that you just upgraded. And the patience runs so fast while the way they eat is soooo looong! I deleted it already! You just want us to buy and buy!
Impossible
When customers eat they eat slow no matter how many upgrades you do. Which makes you lose the level. I might deleted of this isn’t fixed.

It requires power ups for most levels, and a revive costs 100 diamonds which is $1.99 real money. This game is too expensive to keep playing.
Wanted to love the game but it’s a money grab
I really wanted to love this game. I really enjoy time management games and keep hoping to find one like this to really latch onto. The concept is simple: play levels to earn money, use that money to buy upgrades, and progressively play more challenging levels. The problem is, the game is impossible…unless you like grinding and/or want to spend a ton of money, that is. All of your chefs need upgrading at the same time (at increasingly higher cost each level, of course). But you never make enough money to upgrade them all at once, naturally. Let’s say your chefs require 3,500 to upgrade. There are 5 of them to upgrade, so a total of 17,500 to upgrade them all to the next level. You make maybe 1,300 each time you beat a level. That takes 14 levels to make the money to upgrade them all. In that time, the game requires you to upgrade them all at least once more at 4,100 each (16 level wins) - if not more! - for your chefs to work fast enough to win levels. Want to grind losses to get the money to upgrade? At maybe 65 coins each level you lose, it takes over 200 losing levels to get what you need to even approach being able to getting your chefs closer to being at the appropriate level. And all that time, you can NEVER upgrade anything else or you fall even further behind in your chefs levels. I actually started buying coins with real money until I realized what a money sink this game is, because of how quickly the chefs require upgrading compared to how slowly you make money to upgrade them. It’s almost a fun game, but it’s so clearly skewed too hard to encourage people to spend real money to get close to a manageable level. It’s impossible to make progress past a certain point without it. Honestly, a shame, because this could be such a fun game.
I really like this game but
I really like this game and others like it. However I am on the French Romance section and it seems as if it’s waaaaaay more difficult than the previous sections. On the timed levels you only get 60 seconds to make ~800 or more coins when in previous sections to you would get almost two minutes to get the same amount of coins. Plus the waitress has more walking distance in this section than others with around half of the items to give to customers are upstairs as compared to other sections that are one floor. Not to mention the customers all request the same item all at the same time but the staff/item upgrades are WAY more expensive to purchase with coins than in previous sections. IE a slot upgrade or revenue upgrade would be ~2000 coins when in French Romance it’s ~4500+ coins. Which if I’m constantly running out of what little time I have I cannot get the coins needed without spending real money. I REALLY don’t want to delete this game cause it’s a great time passer when I’m bored but it’s becoming obvious it’s just a cash grab in the later sections. I really think French Romance needs to be reevaluated to give players a little more time to get the objective done rather than just 60 seconds to make 1000+ coins OR make the upgrades cheaper and more obtainable for players to actually get.
