I've never left a review of an app - but I love this SO MUCH. I've tried probably EVERY budget app you can think of. What I love about this is its manual and holds me accountable. I love that it's aesthetically pleasing. It's really helped me change my relationship with my finances.
Costs money to use this btw!
Why would anyone want to pay a bunch of money when the whole point of the app is to save money?? Marketing also never mentioned it costs money.
In <3 since Day 1!
Few suggestions, for each envelope, can we please have a dedicated “Memo” section in the details section and (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly) added for additional options for “Payment Schedules”? Thanks for the consideration. I plan on switching from YNAB (after six years) to this mainly because FINALLY A BUDGETING APP ALLOWS ME TO BUDGETS PAYCHECKS BIWEEKLY INSTEAD OF JUST MONTHLY.
Doesn’t work
Every week it doesn’t work. Like I’m trying to press to save my budget for the week and it’s “unable to save”. Does this all the time. What’s the point of PAYING 9 dollars a month
Why is it so much?
I first got this last year at 4.99 per month and then cancelled and a couple months ago I reinstalled it for $4.99 a month to try again. I cancelled it again. I can’t justify the price. Now it says $9.99 a month. Like it is just a spread sheet/calculator. I love the app, but $9.99 a month is crazy. A one time $9.99 I would pay to input my numbers, but every month paying that is just crazy.

Seriously love this app! I struggled so much with making sure I had enough to pay my bills but now that every dollar has a job I’ve saved so much and find myself stressing less over money. I wish there was a way to track my debts and how much I’ve paid off as well that would just be the cherry on top!
Lack of transparency
No where does it say this is a subscription based app. I’m very disappointed. It suck’s because for someone who’s trying super hard to be diligent and work hard towards being better with their money - to find out you only get a 3 day trial and then have to pay $9 a month or $70 for the year??? Is absolutely insane. The deception is unreal. I understand companies need to make money but you can’t expect people to be happy when you hide something like that after making the customer go through the entire process of putting in their personal information, to then make them want to purchase a subscription based app. Why does EVERYTHING have to be subscription based. Do we have ANY faith left in humanity?

The app has lost my budget twice in one year
The app lost all my budget data twice, once when I bought a new phone and “restore purchase” didn’t work and again when my plan was up for renewal. Huge waste of time. Regarding the reply, of course I was using the same Apple ID, all my other apps’ information moved over easily.
bug fix and updates needed
the app is helpful for budgeting, but despite having a suggestion page within the app there have been little to no updates in months. i would personally appreciate a search bar for the emojis, being about to see monthly recaps / averages for spending in each envelope, and for them to fix the bug where the “time to stuff” banner stays after you’ve already stuffed. these are all feature requests that i’ve seen being made for a while now (and that i believe the developers have seen as well), but nothing as changed. the monthly recap is especially important for users to know how much they’re spending on each category, which is part of the intentional spending this app is supposed to encourage. if i’m paying $80 a year for this app i expect action to feedback:/ i won’t be renewing my subscription otherwise
I love it
This app is super simple to get the hang of and has been the best budgeting app I’ve tried. I went with the monthly payment for a couple months to try it out and decided to go ahead with the yearly because I loved it. I was using Notion to track my finances previously but this is so quick and simple, I’ll never go back. Thank you for creating this masterpiece bestie🙂↕️💓 I’d loveee to see some features such as a monthly overview/summary of spending in the future!!!

Love but could improve
Alright this might be the best budget app I’ve seen. But to make it even better, here’s what should happen next! The ability to link your bank so no longer needing to manually track finances. And second, the ability to link your account to someone else since my husband and I share finances. If those things happened, it would be 10 stars!!
Not Free
Setup takes a long time only to find out after doing all the work that it isn’t free. The app should have made it clear before I spent an hour on setup.
Bugged
This app looks super cute and helpful but, it’s bugged to heck and back. Continue button doesn’t work at all when I’m ready to stuff my envelopes. I wish this app worked for me.
Love it! Need a dent feature too
Really enjoyed the app in the past! I left it a few months ago but came back today and got the yearly subscription. Really would like a debt payoff feature!! Will continue to use 💕
Do not set up without checking things first
I went through the whole set up process because I really wanted to get a handle on my budget, just for it to tell me once everything was finally set up that it was $90 to actually use!! It took like 30 minutes to set up. It was a total waste of time!!

I love this app!! It’s like someone went into my mind and created exactly what I was looking for. However, I wish my significant other could also log in on his phone to add his transactions.
Don’t download unless u wanna pay
Can’t use the app unless u pay for it it forced me to sign out. So disappointed the app was so useful before that i used it a lot 😭
Disappointed in the baiting
Seemed like a nice app at first and I was interested in the concept. After I spent over an hour creating envelopes and setting all my monthly expenses and savings , etc, a pop up came up telling me to start my trial with a mandatory subscription. Why not ask BEFORE the user starts setting up so they don't waste their time. Turns out there is no free / ad version of this app and the only way to see what you've inputted is to subscribe. I'm sure it's a good app, just be honest upfront..!!!
Budget Bestie Has Changed My Life
I’m not even exaggerating. I have tried multiple budgeting apps and Budget Bestie is THE one for me. Absolute PERFECTION. The simplest budgeting app I’ve ever used, yet the MOST effective for me. My relationship with money has changed DRASTICALLY, MONUMENTALLY, and I’ve only been using Budget Bestie for 2 months. I already purchased the yearly subscription. I’m locked in for life. Thank you to every single person that works on this app. My stress around finances is virtually eliminated. Can’t thank y’all enough 🩷

Great app- a few bugs
The app has genuinely made it so much easier to budget week by week. I will say there are a few bugs that I have found to be consistent. Ie if you do not utilize your entire budget the next time you stuff your money that balance is still there (it gives you an option to 0 it out but I find that that feature doesn’t actually work.)
Needs a lot of work
Wanted to really love this app but just needs some more work to make it worthwhile. Lots of glitches and screens freezing. Support seemed like they really wanted to help, however, there were a bunch of reports of the same issue from long ago which makes me feel like they don’t ever end up doing anything to fix it. Before spending any more time organizing and stuffing, I just ended up switching back over to YNAB. More functionality and fits more of what I’m looking for.
Inconsistent totals
Great system, but somehow my app totals & bank account are always different 😔 I’m sure it’s user-error, but I log daily and I’ve had to restart my entire budget so many times I’m not sure if it’s worth it
Very nice
This app is so nice to use because when you are setting goals it’s so smooth. This app uses envelopes and the best thing is: they make you to track your own spending by not allowing you to attach any cards. So, it makes you stay on top of your toes. It also helps by allowing you to set income, expenses and transfers in between different envelopes just incase you need to put it elsewhere. I SOOO recommend this app for beginners. Although you have to pay for a subscription; $69.99 a year or $8 and change each month.
Misleading
It doesn’t say anything about a subscription when you first sign up and then it has you start and set up all your budgeting and then when you’re finally done and tap next or whatever it tells you that you have to pay for it and you can’t go back and see your progress that you made you either have to pay for the subscription or be logged out immediately deleted off my phone
Bug to fix
I have run into a recent problem where I add my income and it takes away some money, and I’m not knowing where it’s going because I don’t see it stuffed in any envelope. For example, I add an income of 200 dollars it takes away 41.44 so I only have 158.56 to stuff and I just don’t understand where the 41.44 could be going and why it’s getting separated. Just wanted to write this and bring it to your attention because before this, the app was great!
Pay to use
This basically just explains what cash stuffing is and then gives you a quick demo of one pay period stuffed then ask you to pay 8.99. If you wanted something that was a little more free with better guidance you can pay for this is not you wanna go with. It does offer a trial through but not one long enough that I feel you could actually really get anything from it.
Ironic subscription
It’s a little ironic that the app asks you for a monthly-yearly subscription and doesn’t even add itself to your budgeting, but other then that it’s an alright concept for $11 a month
Best budgeting app out there!!
Budget Bestie is amazing. It makes budgeting so simple and easy. I don’t know if it’s worth the $75 subscription.. but it is everything I need. I’m just using this until I figure out how to use google spreadsheets because paying $80 a year for this is crazy… but I admire the hustle. It’s a solid app, but definitely look for something else long term; this is just something I’m using to start my budgeting journey.
Misleading - You have to pay to use it!!!

Absolutely love this app!! It’s really helped me keep my budget and clearly see how much money I have and where it’s all going! I just wish it could be on android because on plan on switching from iPhone sometime next year :( that’s my only issue with this app otherwise it works wonderfully!
Pay to Save
It’s really weird that it costs $70 per year to help someone budget. I liked the idea of digital automation, but I guess I’ll just try to do it the old fashioned way. 🤷🏻♀️
Monthly Payment
It looks like a great app, but as someone who’s trying to save money, and an app trying to help people save money, why are you charging people so much to use the app?
I love it!
I’ve been using this app consistently for over 6 months now, and I LOVE IT. If you’re on the fence about downloading it, just do it. I tell everyone I know about this app, I’m obsessed with using it, I look at it every day. It is easy to use, cute graphics, it has genuinely helped me so much with budgeting and saving money. I love being able to see how much I’ve spent and how much I’ve earned, and as long as you can keep up with entering data, it works perfectly. I would say the only suggestion is I wish I could somehow add debts on there, like my credit card. And keep track of how much debt I’m paying off, etc. That would be really cool. Thanks for reading! Get this app! It saved me!

Keeps Adding Budget
Overall a good app, but there’s a lot of little bugs, example being, already added my budget for the week, but it keeps on telling me to add budget over and over again and won’t show me upcoming bills for this week.
Could be better but still good
If this app was able to link a bank account where I could track your spending habits, you didn’t have to manually remember to put it in. I think it would take out the hassle and time from people schedule to remember other than that overall great love, the fact that it is pushing financial literacy and education
Exactly what I wanted
Very simple app. It’s exactly what I was looking for. A lot of the other apps people recommend are a lot more complicated and have functionality I don’t need. This one is so easy to use, loads up quickly when I need it, and perfect for my needs. It might not be the best for a more complex budgeting situation, but for just some basic keeping track of money and planning things, it’s the nicest app I’ve found.

This is by far the easiest and most effective app I’ve ever used for budget. Don’t care about paying for apps as long as they’re easy and make it efficient for me to budget properly!
Seems nice, but can’t use without subscription
It wasn’t super clear that the app does function without a subscription. It takes you along the whole process of setting up your budget, inputting different folders, creating savings goals. Nice app though.
Good but could be better
Although I prefer to budget paycheque to paycheque and track my actual dollars, I also like to plan my spending by paycheque for up to a year. This app works well for the former but not the latter. There is also no feature to see the totals for each category of your spending/costs on an annual basis. With this information I can ask myself if I really want to spend x amount for y category and make tweaks in line with my overall goals. It would also be nice to see some income features including net worth calculations and percentages of income by category by for each paycheque, by month, by year or whatever selection of time is of interest to you.
5 STARS - I love this app!
Budget Bestie has quickly become one of my most used apps of the year! The interface is super clean and aesthetically pleasing, making budgeting actually enjoyable. It’s easy to use and helps me stay on top of my paychecks, expenses, and savings goals. I love how it gives me clear visibility into where my money is going and makes it simple to plan ahead for events throughout the year. Definitely a must-have if you’re looking to stay organized and stress-free with your finances!
Deceptive
To claim something is free but have you fill in all your goals and then force you to pay to even use the app is completely deceptive and intentional. They get you to put time into and then force you to pay a subscription fee to use their app. Just out of principle this is completely wrong
Great App
Great app, just a few suggestions (reasons I didn’t end up subscribing). I have different pay checks coming in at 3 different times a month and only one is ever the same amount. There wasn’t an option for that as far as I could tell. Only weekly, bi weekly, or monthly? Also, I think you should be able to carry over to the next pay check instead of having to stuff every cent before you can move on. One of my pays is bigger than the other two, and I need the excess from that one to cover expenses for the rest of the month. If it wasn’t for that, making it impossible to work for me, I would have subscribed for sure!
No transparency for membership fees
Downloaded it, spent lot of time making a budget and envelopes. After everything is done, they require a membership payment. Where is the transparency? If I had known, I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Get app if you want to pay for the membership.
