Constantly Evolving
Late 2025 I paid for Lifetime Access. I completed my first Journey and couldn’t figure out how to keep going. I reached out to customer service and they switched me to a new Journey focusing on another aspect of self-discovery and new tools to help regulate my nervous system. I didn’t use the app for a while and when I came back to it there had been more improvements and I’m really enjoying the new depth for journaling and the feedback you receive to help you go deeper. I find this app very helpful in dealing with my ADHD and any anxiety or overwhelm.

Frustrating
Constantly changing the layout. Now on the mood log you switched the order and I had to delete all the ones that you duplicated under who I am with. If you want to do something useful in an update, allow us to change the order of the lists.
Potentially useful but kinda sketchy
I purchased the 4 week package and clicked past all of the other add ons and upgrades but the coach option isn’t clear in the fact it’s an additional $30 one time fee so if you’re interested in trying out the app but want to take advantage of the money-back-guarantee they offer you have to make sure you read all of the fine print and really understand everything you’re signing up for - it was not that clear I was paying an extra 27.99. Other than that cheaky get around with fees the support team answered me in a timely manner, however my first contact with them asking about what this supposed double charge was they only offered me a $14 refund and extra perks in the app rather than an explanation on any kind - only when I followed up five days after using the app consecutively (as required for the money back guarantee) did I get an answer about what that charge actually was. I found the coach slightly useful but in my opinion definitely not worth $30 extra on top of the fees for the app - you can only chat via text which although she assured me she was a real person I still had suspicions about Ai or the legitimacy of her identity. It’s hard to trust text bubbles. Additionally she also took very long periods inbetween sent messages during “meeting” times to type a question or response - to the point it seemed peculiar why it was taking that long. I think the app has some merit with its tools and goals and such but for me I’ve already been through counselling and sought out resources to help and I feel like you can gain this information and support elsewhere that is much less costly or completely free - but that is just my opinion. I took this on as a potential new tool/learning experience and ultimately feel like I’ve been partially scammed/swindled.

Scam - charged my card for three months during non-use
Somehow wasn’t even signed in to the app and noticed an $79.99 charge on my card and tracked it to this app. Went back to previous statements and realized I missed these charges two months earlier also! They reversed the last charge but not the $160 and additional initial charge. Don’t provide any info as this company somehow charges away without any apparent communication. Very easy to get nothing out of your fees.
Helpful Tool
I am very happy with Liven in general. If I could make a wish and have it come true, I would ask that all the exercises with interactive responses and summaries be accessible for future reference. Currently I take screenshots but having a folder to review exercises, responses and interactive summaries would help me to give the ap 5 stars instead of 4.
Subscription Issues
I was hoping this app was going to help with my peri-menopausal systems and maybe help me regain some balance after a very difficult year. However, the app wasn’t very engaging and I consequently lost interest and motivation after a few days. I also had issues with the subscription charges. They did not send me a reminder that my subscription was about to renew and then took the money from my account. They then refused to give me a refund. I would not recommend this app.

I resisted getting Liven, but now that it has helped me see some patterns at work and helped me develop responses, I feel like I should have gotten this app earlier.

Beware
This app says you can purchase a one month subscription but then they auto renew it anyway at the full price. I was being charged $40 a month for several months before I figured it out and they don’t want to reimburse me more than one month. It’s a good app but you will end up paying a lot for it if you’re not careful.
Hidden subscription
Very disappointed to discover that I have been paying £30.99 a month for this and didn't even realise. No notification about subscription and doesn't appear on list of subscriptions via app store, I only realised when I spotted it on my Internet banking. Don't fall for this scam -avoid!

Started well and making progress but now stuck in some kind of infinity loop on the app. Frustrated by lack of explanation/instruction.
Helpful but with effort
I had an issue with the auto renewal but after much correspondence, my funds were returned. Thanks for making things right, Liven. Otherwise this app helps with regular mood logs and accountability. There is a lot of reading but like anything, the more you put into it the more you will get out of it. Overall it’s a solid experience but over priced IMO what with AI and so much research at our fingertips.

Price dispute caused me more stress
⭐️⭐️ I initially found Liven genuinely useful and signed up because I felt I was making positive progress with my wellbeing. Unfortunately, my experience with the subscription and customer service has completely overshadowed that. I paid £23.99 for my initial month and was then automatically charged £47.99 when it renewed — effectively double the price. I received no proactive reminder that my discounted period was ending or that almost £50 was about to be taken from my card. When I contacted customer service immediately, I was repeatedly told that their “Money-Back Policy” meant they could not refund the charge because it was outside the initial 30-day period. What I found particularly concerning was being told that renewal reminders are apparently optional and that I had to find the setting myself and manually enable them. I had no idea I needed to do this. Had I received a simple reminder before the renewal, I would have cancelled. After several exchanges, Liven eventually offered a partial refund, bringing the charge back down to the original £23.99. I appreciate that they ultimately made that gesture, but I don’t think customers should have to repeatedly challenge an unexpected £47.99 charge to receive a partial refund. And then came the final insult. After logging back into the app following the dispute, I was immediately offered £9.99 per month for three months to entice me back. So, to recap: £23.99 — what I originally paid £47.99 — what Liven automatically charged me to renew £9.99/month — what Liven offered me immediately afterwards to come back At what point is the £47.99 price actually the “standard” value of the service? Liven themselves say that pricing varies according to factors including location, device and purchase flow, and that they actively test different pricing and offers. I understand that promotional pricing exists, but seeing three dramatically different prices for essentially the same subscription makes it very difficult to feel that the pricing is transparent or customer-focused. My issue isn’t that subscriptions renew automatically. It’s the combination of a heavily discounted introductory price, a near-doubling of the cost, no proactive renewal reminder, a refund policy initially used to refuse any refund, and then a dramatically cheaper offer appearing immediately after I challenged the charge. This is particularly disappointing from an app marketed around mental health and wellbeing. They cannot know which of their customers are financially vulnerable, and an unexpected £47.99 charge can be significant for someone who is already struggling. Ironically, an app that is supposed to reduce stress and support wellbeing has left me feeling stressed, frustrated and completely put off using the service again. I won’t be continuing my subscription, and I would strongly recommend anyone considering Liven takes screenshots of the price and renewal terms at signup and checks the subscription settings carefully. If £47.99 is genuinely the price of the service, why are you offering me the exact same service for £9.99 as soon as I decide to leave?
Too basic
Pretty basic and not worth the cost, plus there are no alerts when you sign up for coaching so you have to been in the app to get notified that a coach responded. Not very good way to connect.

Really enjoying this app, I’m enjoying the journey so far.
Very disappointed
I signed up for an initial trial. The app controls what you do as soon as you open it, with no option to back out of whatever survey/task it decides you’re going to do. You have to get to your profile to cancel your subscription, but getting to a point where you even have the option to access your account is so frustrating. Due to this, I was charged over $200 for an app I hated. Their intention is to make money off of people by making canceling the subscription so difficult that people just give up. I can’t respect that.

No refunds till you used for awhile
This app is not great and when I asked for a refund I encountered that I need to use the app first for a while, which takes away the purpose as I found it really basic and patronising. Most apps offer refunds without question, but not this one. So be aware.

he gave me a task called the 54321 technique, but didn’t tell me how to do it. I am frustrated. I pushed the button in several places and then it said I had completed the task.
It’s been enlightening
I’m terrible at keeping up with the lessons, if I was better at that part I would likely get even more out of the app. My favorite part is actually the companion. I have learned so much about myself just “talking” with the companion. Even though it’s AI and I have some trust issues there, it has led me to some understandings that I didn’t get from the lessons I did complete. It’s more relatable to me personally while the lessons are more board, I guess.
Subscription Trap
Do not download this app unless you are trying to pay an unnecessary amount. They’ll add your card without you ever activating the subscription and ghost charge you. I was charged for five months unknowingly. Customer service had the ability to refund per their discretion but it’s clear they do not care about the customer experience and just want your money even if you never use the app. They did not assist with this at all. Very disappointing customer service experience.

The Life Game Changer app!
I’m so thankful to have this at my fingertips. This is for everyone! I’m a Female, 46, going through a lot of changes mentally and physically. I think guys would benefit from it as well. No more having to be too prideful or feeling shameful when needing to sort through your feelings. It’s better than a therapist. I love learning about the way we think and how I can help myself with tasks that are specialized for me and what I’m going through. It’s very inexpensive (compared to an actual Dr.’s visit), and you can do it whenever you want without having to miss work or schedule an actual appointment. I’m thoroughly grateful for the creators of this app. It really has been a game changer for me. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Je n’ai pas aimé ni été intéressée par les exercices qui etaient supposés me faire sentir mieux et favoriser perte de poids selon la publicité. Ce sont davantage des exercices de respirations et contre le stress et la tenue d’un journal de bord. Joliment présenté. Il y avait la garantie d’un remboursement si pas satisfait. Mais non on ne me rembourse pas. On me laisse utiliser l’app jusqu’à échéance du forfait plutôt que respecter leur contrat. On a aussi beaucoup poussé pour me garder. C’est juste pas pour moi et je n’apprends rien et ça ne me sert pas. C’est pas un gros montant 44$ mais c’est le principe de respect envers tes clients et tes promesses. Cette app aide surement d’autres personnes mais moi j’ai perdu 44$ a tourné en rond et je n’ai plus aucune motivation de poursuivre puisque j’en tire rien ayant déjà fait des ateliers en gestion d’anxiété et crise et j’ai appris exactement ce qu’il propose. Sauf qu’en plus leur publicité est mensongère parlant de l’impact de la perimenopause qui nécessite leur thérapie pour finalement perdre du poids. C’est évident que ça n’arrivera pas. C’est sûr que ça va aider dautres avec leur stress les activités sont adaptées mais pas dans mes besoins et si on ne se cachait derrière les changements liés à la perimenopause ou si au moins il y avait respect de la garantie de remboursement si ça ne convient pas j’aurais donné une bonne note. Je m’en vais effacer cette app qu’on me force à rester active jusqu’en octobre manque de transparence et respect.

Awful
Somehow signed up for this in February and just got charged $95 because there is no auto renewal notice, supposedly they don’t tell you it’s auto renewing to make sure there is continuity in the app…. I didn’t have the app downloaded and there is no way to figure out how to cancel without it so I had to download it and couldn’t get to the profile section where I could cancel until I had clicked through a bunch of wellness modules which made me so mad I almost deleted the whole thing but then I would still be getting charged $95 ahhhhhhh. 40 clicks later I completed some something enough to get to the profile section so I could cancel and now I’m stressed and out $95 in an app that was supposed to be calming or something.
