What people like

- Support never actually helps or responds
Free Online Matchmaking
What the title says.
Trash
Cant even play it
Nostalgia
Brings backs memories from when I was younger and keep the old school feel of board games with new style of mobile gaming
Matchmaking Broken?
Is matchmaking broken? I appear to keep getting matched with bots.
To glitchy
I love Stratego. This game allows me to play against other people at any time, but it is too glitchy. I try and battle against someone and it didn’t show what pieces have been moved, and what number they are when I attack them. I makes it impossible to play a match with this glitch.
Can’t move pieces with new update
Can’t move pieces with new update. Also ads are much worse and longer now. Subscription prices are too high
Ouch
What a terrible experience
Great game one suggestion
If you add a way the user can save setups outside of the game to select as presets for online, this game will be perfect.
Eh
The app is fine, but they robbed me, I bought the old app then they took it off and now this one is full of micro transactions whoever thought adding subscriptions was a good idea was an idiot
Best Stratego Out There IMHO … Playing Board Game and Online for Decades
But while it is the best out there, it is buggy. Kicked me out of the middle of games to ask me to login again. Didn’t update from one subscription level to another properly. But support is good. And they resolved the subscription issue without further problems, even gave a free month to offset the issue. But again, too buggy within games also. Will try it again at a later date to see if it has stabilized. Would really like to love this game. But it has been getting buggier than more stable lately. Good luck.
Beautiful game
Great app always playing and enjoy the details they put in to customize battles 👍
Cheaters
There is a dual algorithm that much of the players are using that are counting your pieces. I fluctuate from a level 25 to one time a level 30. Without using any help. I stopped playing because not only was the cheating losing my interest, but they were occasional times that I observed a few players moving their pieces. I brought this to the attention of the game makers and nothing happened. The game is evidently recorded. But I think on the backend they don’t really look. Not worth playing with the cheaters.
Play “Heroic Battle” instead
Stratego is a great game but this app has a bug where the game freezes and you lose due to inactivity. Also, endless problems signing in and app support is non existent. Instead, There’s a great Stratego sim called “Heroic Battle” that doesn’t have the bugs and has responsive app support.
Buggy
Fun but the chat is very buggy. I can’t sent messages half the time since the latest update
Rules are great
People requesting rule changes have no respect for the game. It’s not chess and it’s not checkers.
Un skippable ads make the game unplayable.
Decent game when it works but lately ads are unskipable. The close button on them does not work so you never actually get to play the game no matter how long you wait. Booo
Previous Version Was Better
Computer gameplay is frustratingly slow. Takes 5x longer than necessary.
Training Mode
They need to fix training . I don’t need training mode to simulate playing a 10-year old kid that takes 20 mins to make every move. Takes forever just to play a match.
The original game I grew up with
I absolutely love this app and game.
Account Gone
All of a sudden couldn’t log in and kept saying password was incorrect. Used the feature for password recovery and I never got an email to reset it. Worked my way up to a 28 rating and all gone. No sound or sfx either. Messaged the powers that be to find out why. Never got a response. I’ll spend my 2.99 elsewhere. All my purchased items gone.
Thought I could challenge bot opponents + matchmaking stinks
In the images for the game it shows 3 different difficulty bots that you can challenge. I went to play these bots only to find out that all except the easiest difficulty are locked behind a paywall. I really have to pay for a subscription just for training bots? Also since there were no real training bots to use to improve, I unfortunately had to play ranked to practice. There was not a single match that I played that felt fair. I’m also pretty sure 75% of my matches were just bots.
Nice
Great recovery from past games.
6/1/2026 Login no longer works?
Says wrong password and does not send email to fix.
Boom
I’ll never know if this is worth it, it always, always crashes on my iPad. Other games don’t. I am on iOS 15.8.7 and according to the app details this should work.
Great Game, but one question…
Hello! I’m really enjoying this game and am having a lot of fun with it. I was wondering if there were plans to make the card game variant?
Half a star. I pay for this junk
Glitches out halfway through matches. Deleted and installed again. Now I cannot sign in. Cannot reset password
Fun when it works
Many, many bugs. Refreshes during games; sometimes requires additional log in after refresh. Reporting system inop most of the time. Game will not open after latest update. Probably a clue to give up the buggy game. Update: wrote to the developer. No response.
Crash Record
This game has all the makings of being a great game with one exception: this game constantly crashes, literally constantly, crashes all the time consistently. Tap on the game, icon it loads, and it crashes loads.Crashes loads crashesLoads begins to play crashes loads, crashes, loadsBegins to play tap the set up button game crashes loadsBegins to play tap the set up button crashes loads crashes. It’s actually worse than what I’ve been writing. If it wasn’t for that all that this would be an excellent game great graphics great interactions the color palettes great game plays great visual effects are great, but the crash is completely ruined it. it’s so annoying that I uninstalled the game twice but I keep coming back to it because if it does stay on without crashing for a while it’s fun. i’m so tired of the crashing that I don’t even care about proper grammar anymore. Update: they did something which fixed the crash the game no longer crashes thank you five star!
Pay to play anything
They made very click a pay to play ad for this game this is disgusting
Fix ad issue
Everything is awesome but the ad glitchyness stinks and it’s quite a bummer
Not worth the time
They took a simple game and complicated to unusable.
Ads ruined this game
After the update, you’re forced to watch an ad before you start a game. Now the game glitches and isn’t as enjoyable.
Bad Devs
The latest update was BAD. Game will not start. This is not good. Bad, bad developers.
Optional rules and bug fixes
I love that I can play on my phone. I agree with the other reviews I would like to see attackers advantage added (where if you attack the same number attacker wins) also if you get to the opponents back row you get a piece back of your choice two per game. I have the board game at home and we play often. I would also like to see where the opponents pieces were on game end . Often when the game ends I have to close it to get back to the Home Screen. I think it's a good rendition just needs some updating
