Constantly Kicked Out
Great game, plays well but in every other game it freezes or kicks you out so it’s frustrating. I have the paid version and it happens constantly. Waste of money and time. Additionally, the Nordic map is horizontal! Absolutely ridiculous.
Great game
The physical board game is always annoying when it comes to checking final scores and calculating everything, and this makes it soooooo much easier. On the other hand they’re kinda just squeezing as much money as they can out of your wallet because they literally charge more than the game costs just to get a new map.
Not as good as the old app
I prefer the original Ticket to ride app. This version isn’t as good, and now I have to repurchase all the expansions. The other app was easier to see the trains and see where your routes are.
DLC overpriced
Solid app but the DLC is crazy expensive and theres no account syncing with the PC (Steam) version.
Pass
Pass is way too expensive and plus I already bought it for my Xbox I think this should be linked to that somehow
Impossible to Win
I’m a pretty skilled player in real life against real people, but this app has made it extremely difficult to win. The route card draws don’t feel random (skewed in favor of AI players, and against me), AI players are able to collect the colors they need far faster and easier than I can, and here lately, AI players only seem interested in keeping 3-4 route cards while collecting as many colors as possible and dropping their trains all in rapid succession to score a ton of points. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve completed 8-9 routes, and still lost by 40 points to an AI player who completed 3, but racked up 95 points. Sure, it’s a strategy to win a game if you can collect a bunch of color cards, but it’s the virtual equivalent of losing a video game to a kid who does nothing but button mash. I’ve even tried to use this method against the AI, but it doesn’t work, because I can’t collect colors fast enough, and the routes I’m given are short ones worth very little points most of the time. This app used to be a fun way to hone my skills against real life players, but it’s next to unplayable now.
Needs new ranking system PLEASE
The cumulative stars ranking system on multi-player is not competitive at all. Players who play a lot of games, even if they have zero skills or intelligence, end up getting stars over time. Intelligent players might have low stars because they play a lower volume of games. Please introduce a more competitive ranking system besides stars, where the increase or decrease in rank is relative to the rank(s) of your opponent(s). I miss the old ranking system! It actually felt exciting to play against high-rank players. If possible, introduce a chat! I understand chats can be problematic, but there are ways to mitigate this / censor speech. Even if the chat was limited to emojis, that would be something. It is not fun to play online without any means of real-time communication.

Game is great, but was incredibly disappointed to discover that after paying the £4.99 for the game I then have to pay at least £29.00 to get the maps!! Should be obvious at purchase and very expensive for what it is…!
Special interest
I’m autistic, I love trains, I love board games, I have the original game on my shelf. I love that this is mobile, I can play whenever I want and it’s easy to navigate. I also have it on pc! The only downside is I had the original mobile (and pc) games and they terminated the multiplayer without any compensation or discount to buy it again. Still an amazing game!

The colors are to close together. Hard to see my route. Way more confusing. Want the old one back.

Buyers beware - Constant connectivity issues
Great game; however, playing online is plagued with constant connection issues that really affect the gameplay. Great purchase for solo play and local hotseat but stay clear if you plan on playing a lot of online matches.
3 star now.
Game mechanics are good, but oh boy… childlish graphics, animation and UI ruins this title. Please take some ideas from the old version.
Just my opinion
It would be nice if there was an option to opt out of bots joining your game. I would rather wait for real people to play with. I used to be able to tell by the names used that it was a bot and I would resign from those games, but now it seems like you’re using all sorts of names, hard to identify who’s real. It’s very annoying the way the bots play. They often take the spots on routes that are most important to link anything before anyone else can get to them.
Awful
New marmalade app would not work when put onto 2 iPads next to each other. Not sure if they’re both “days of wonder”, but the old days of wonder app was so user-friendly and it worked well. Very unhappy. I regret purchasing two apps, one for myself, and my grandson.
Fun but add ons
It fun to play but sad to find out their additional paywalls after the original 4.99 price. I guess it makes sense as it creates base level for minor players. But still disappointing when you see an add for an additional 30 usd prior to playing your first game
Slow. Slow. Slow.
The app is slow to load. The menus are slow to load. The games are slow to load. Establishing turn order and dealing tickets is slow. Computer opponents play slowly. Every animation is so slow. Hope you don’t have to wait for multiple players to try to build a tunnel. It’s as though tunnel-building was designed to take as long as possible! And yes, the this is all with the Game Speed set to ”Fast.”
Frustrating penalty for game errors!
I love the gameplay, but the app keeps freezing. I had to delete two frozen online games just to clear them, and even though a warning popped up, I lost around 30 points! It is incredibly aggravating to be heavily penalized for a system glitch that wasn’t my fault. Developers need to fix these stability issues and stop punishing players when the app malfunctions
Best game EVER
Honestly, This is my favorite game. I actually have the board game too. On the app you can buy (real money) different places. The point of the game is to play all your trains and to finish all your routes. You get different colored cards for different color spots. And you get the amount of card of how many spots there are. There are rainbow cards which is a wild. So fun!
When will it work again?
Can’t play it at all and it has been such a long time!!! Why pay money for game that does not or will not work. Can I get a refund? When will this game work or will it never be fixed? If it will be fixed how long does it take? Why so long? We should all ask for refunds!!!

I want a refund
For a game that cost money, it shouldn’t be this hard to just play. The glitches and constant disconnections have become unbearable. It’s almost been three weeks and I’m still unable to play a game I paid for because I keep getting discounted. At this point it’s been far too long for this issue not to be fixed. Especially because this game cost MONEY. Not to mentioned the in app purchases made that you can’t use either!!! The game itself is fun, but how can it be enjoyable if you cannot actually play it.

This is a fun game however joining a game on line can be frustrating, waiting for people to be ready or navigating the normal play and blitz. The AI version is fun but AI is a cheater cheater pumpkin eater. As soon as you go back for a forth card suddenly your blocked by every “player” and you don’t get the cards you need

They’ve made this game so easy to play and user-friendly. I enjoy playing it every day while I eat my lunch.
Cards Not Random
I'd give this game a 3 or 4 out of 5 (losing stars for terrible server lag) but ALL stars are taken away for the non-random nature of the card draws. Is that cheating or just a lame way of tipping the scales for a crummy AI model? Either way, it's deceitful and unlike the board game. I'll never consider buying a game from Marmalade Game Studios again and will reconsider buying anything from Asmodee or Days of Wonder, in general. Now get ready for the uninspired boilerplate response from the company....
Good game but add-ons $$$
The base game is good and well worth $5 but the add-ons are pricier as are character portraits, alternate trains, etc. Catchy music, though.
Unexpected Errors Have Become Very Expected
Attempts to play this game are usually interrupted by getting kicked out of whatever lobby you’re in. Trying to play this with my long distance relationship is absolutely maddening. Fix your app, Marmalade.
Fun but flawed
I love the Ticket to Ride board game, so I thought it would be fun to have the game on my phone. I play it for about an hour every day. I do enjoy it, but lately I’ve had some games stall out on me, to the extent that tapping anywhere on the screen has no effect. The only way to solve the problem is to quit the game then reopen the app. This needs to be fixed.
So much fun
I downloaded the game and let my sister play, she loved it. Everyone in my family now plays and we play together with extended family and friends.
India map is not vertical DO NOT BUY!
I expected the India map to be vertical like the previous version of this app. It’s horizontal and it is TERRIBLE! It’s so tiny it’s ridiculous. DO NOT BUY!

Hi, I’m really frustrated trying to access my account. I’ve invested a lot of money into this app for various features and characters, but I’m unable to log in using my email address. Each time I try, it keeps prompting me to create a new account instead of letting me sign in. Can you please help me recover or access my existing account as soon as possible?

I love the game, and when it works it is great. Only problem is that the game glitches so often — doesn’t let me join a game saying I don’t have an internet connection, or it lags out and doesn’t register my moves on my turns. Please fix these bugs!!
Update ASAP
I would have given this 5 stars but over the past several weeks online play is down. I bought the full game with all expansions so my mom and I could play states apart and now that isn’t possible. So a significant investment I can’t even use.
Like the Board Game — Fun!!
Very similar to the board game — except a computer does all the dealing, shuffling, and scoring! Fun!
Wonderful game, terrible app & service
The board game is my all time favorite. It’s a great game, easy to learn and fun to play forever. The first app was good, was a great iteration of the game. This new version is just terrible. It looks fancy, but doesn’t work 70% of the time. Always seems to be down and some features just don’t work. It sucks to say but I would not recommend purchasing, even now, years after release, when you think the issues would have been ironed out.
Glitching
The app is still having issues and won’t even let me start a game - it keeps saying “error”
Crashing
Since the last update this game is endlessly crashing. Sometimes backing out of the game entirely and reopening it helps. Other times it completely disappears. Absolutely ridiculous when you’ve purchased it and upgrades.

We love to play this game however we can’t ever complete a game without multiple glitches and or freezing. I bought the new version based on the 4.5 stars since many complaints were from 2 years ago. Where are the updates to fix this problems you keep telling everyone you’re doing? If your going to charge for the game and every new map then please fix the darn game so it works. Very disappointing but holding out hope…..
