Perfect port of a perfect game
Vampire Survivors has been one of my most favorite games since I first touched it. The mobile IOS version has continued my love for the game

Great, and the save file issue was fixed
I put off playing this for so long due to its popularity, the in screenshots it didn’t look like much, and I played similar games before and after this released and I didn’t like them much. I heard how generous the mobile version of the game is from a friend (the whole base game is free) so I decided to give it a try. The mobile joystick controls are annoying, but that’s just me. I bought it on pc and play with a controller, it’s way better.
Give players free skill choice at the beginning

Love the game hate the crashes …
I enjoy the game but the crashes are getting ridiculous. I spent 335mins playing a level unlocking a bunch of stuff. 50k away from killing 1 mil and it crashes. I didn’t get credit for any of the things I unlocked on that round… otherwise I would leave 5 stars… so annoying

I had a bug and the developers fixed it literally in 2-3 days.
Unplayable
Decided to give the game a chance again after dropping a while back. Says saved data is corrupt.

New UI is not good
You can’t see how much characters cost after the newest updates, and seeing number of golden eggs now requires opening a second menu. Love the game but it was better before the last update. It’s crazy to me you can’t see how much character cost and have to keep trying and hoping…
love/hate
i love the game on console but is too bugged on mobile. i’m on a new iphone and the game doesn’t load half the time forcing me to close and restart just to get a little further in the menu. i have yet been able to actually play the game on mobile

Ask app not to track
If you decide to decline the apps ability to track ads it then no longer works… that’s not shady at all.

Game won’t start
Every time I open the game it says “An error occurred. Failed to load save data” and doesn’t ever let me play the game. Edit: they fixed it.
This is actually really fun!
For about 1-2 years of having this game this was some of the coolest games I’ve ever played in mobile. Keep up the good work! Edit from 2026; not sure what people are yapping about crashing it works completely fine for me and DO NOT SAY THIS IS A RIPOFF OF SURVIVOR.IO, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL!!!
Disappointing
Opened the game for the first time and it got stuck on unable to load save data. Couldn’t even get to the title screen.

Embarrassing mobile implementation
Fun game but unfortunately hindered by critical flaws for mobile. Considering how much popularity and money this game’s made it’s just entirely unacceptable and I’m sorry to say it either lacks basic attention or motivation. For a mobile game there’s no saving. I’d sometimes play 20min while I have the chance (kinda a huge point of mobile), put it down and come back to it. As soon as an hour later and firstly the game is completely unloaded and secondly there’s no save to remediate that issue. It’s bad enough to lose a run that was going well, but afaik it effectively wipes it from existence. This is in contrast to other simple pixel art style mobile games across genres I’ve moved onto that for one seem to be able to stay loaded in memory just fine… even for a couple hours or so. Which leads me to believe this isn’t just a iOS garbage collection issue but an app issue. Secondly most any other game has the ability to resume saves regardless for that reason along many others. What’s sad is what could brighten someone’s day as a simple game to play during a break, commute, and between things in general instead ruins that whole idea. It’s also just generally disrespectful of people’s time because of the save issues at least and for that for such a successful and pretty mature game at this point there’s no reasonable justification to provide. The controls also at times feel non-responsive or not sensitive/reactive enough and/or located poorly. I’ve died many times to coming out of an ad or pausing and resuming. With Vampire Survivor it was like the thinking was yup this is a game that naturally fits well in a mobile format and then couldn’t be bothered and in result ported it rather lazily and with UX issues. Despite the harsh points I say this out of care of wanting to see a better game and hope I can come back in the future, but at the moment I’m fed up and it’s effectively unplayable to me to consistently lose progress. If I have to sit down and commit to more games many more options generally become available to situations where that is possible.
Fantastic game but…
I like this game a lot, and I would give the game 5 stars if it wasn’t for one huge glaring issue. The game constantly has a save conflict, which continuously gives a chance to lose A LOT of progress. The two save files to choose from is one from a couple of weeks ago, or the most current one I just played. I really feel like the game should be able to automatically determine which file is the most current. One accidental touch and thats weeks of lost progress. No other game I’ve played does this. And I can’t find a way to delete that old save file, since it doesn’t appear under “saves” in the menu. At the very least there should be a way to delete that file, but it really should be automatic. And i’m writing this review now because i’ve already had this happen before, but it should NEVER happen. To me, or anyone.

Cant even load into the game
Wish I could actually say something about the game but instead all I’m stuck dealing with is a screen saying “An error occurred. Failed to load saved data.” after downloading the game for the very first time. What saved data?? Absolutely nonsensical. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times with the same error popping up. Like ok, if you can load saved data, START A NEW GODDAMN GAME??!! No clue what they’ve got going on but yeah that was a big waste of my time so 1 star.

I understand that most games like this don’t allow you to save and then resume a run but for specifically the mobile version It would very much be appreciated as I have had the app restart randomly when I’m just trying to search something up or if I close my phone sometimes it will go back to the main menu it’s very frustrating especially when your far into a run and then poof it’s gone please just add it please, let us be able to save at any point in a run so that we can close the app or put our phones down without fear of the run being lost, it would also just make it easier to play while on the go like I can’t be on my phone the entire time I’m out pleaseeee make it happen

The game itself is a 10/10, but the mobile app continues to crash and renders the game unplayable.
Would be amazing but…
You can’t leave the game for anything without risking losing all your progress it seems, and when games can last for 30 minutes having to pause and do something else on your phone is pretty likely. Every time I have to stop and leave the app to answer a text message or look something up i end up back at the start screen and it is infuriating. I honestly love the game, but I stopped playing a year or two ago for this same reason and recently redownloaded it to try it again. I don’t understand why they haven’t added a continue where you left off feature yet. This seems like a critical issue to me…

Awesome game great control graphics can be a bit much (like way too much going on lol) but can be adjusted lots to unlock hours of fun never boring!!!!
Unplayable Update
Unplayable as of the most recent update. Continuously get “An error occurred, failed to load save data” message. Have tried restarting my phone, with and without internet, disabling iCloud sync, reinstalling the game, signing out of Game Center, can’t find a solution that works. Sadly can’t play my favorite game.
Great game, however
For the past 2 days It crashes reliably at 22 minutes or more into a run, ran flawlessly before then idk if buying a dlc bugged out my app or something. Anyway it runs perfect on computer so I’m still giving a 4 but I hope I can get this fixed I hate losing all my unlocks just because I wanted to finish a run

The game crashed in the later stages,especially when the number of weapons and the monsters increased. I’ve already turned off graphics options that might increase the load,such as damage numbers and flashes,but it still crashed.This make all efforts disappear,which is very frustrated. Can this issue be fixed??

Fun game but, you cannot remove adds
No pay options to remove adds. Really annoying.
Crazy amounts of greed
This game is about $10 on Xbox but there’s no ads and no crashing, and I’ve had the screen jammed full of monsters getting 1-2 fps. The idea that apple took this game and put it into the phone AND put it in its Game Center to be part of its money schemes is hilarious in a bad way. I guarantee I can’t play this game the way I do on console but that’s not the problem, it’s the fact they obviously didn’t think it through. So happy I have this on console so I can watch this gather dust in my previously downloaded apps 🤦🏻♂️thanks for blatantly showing how greedy people can be with something that’s not even theirs.
Bad at math?
If I get x5 gold buffs, the treasure chests that drops from killing a boss isn’t affected… if it says 50% more and you guys don’t even abide by that… which means all of the stats you input for the game is random….meaning, when you get a % boost it doesn’t give you that % it just goes to a random number…. Why doesn’t gold that drops from treasure chests don’t get affected by gold buff? How embarrassing.
Good game you should probably get
It is a good game that I like and I think you should get, I did notice two bugs, 1: the backup save is no longer getting saved to, and 2: in the garlic paradise adventure on level two mad forest I believe it was called, there’s a bug where when playing as peppino any enemy above you is invisible and so is the soul eater’s area of effect thing, also there was no bug reporting thing hence why it is in this review
frozen all the time
EVERYTIME when I use the Queen, it gets frozen after 10 min when I defeat tons of enemies. The game worths 5 stars if this bug get solved

AMAZING but…
I LOVE this game. I’ve been playing it for weeks RELIGIOUSLY. Best compliments to the creator of Vampire Survivors. However… Since last week, I can only play on one side in landscape mode on my iPad which makes the experience less ergonomic. If only this bug could be corrected, I would play day and night…
Crashes when you get too good…
Unfortunately the game is no longer playable for me. Latest update on iOS 18 / iPhone 13 Pro. It will freeze around 13 minutes in or so when there’s too much on the screen / there’s a huge chain happening. Reinstalling / rebooting does not resolve issue. This seems to be from a more recent update as I’ve 100%’d the game.
