Amazing game like that you have to go through waves to get better weapons and items really worth the grind
Greed and avarice
Even my mobile game standards this update has been greedy….theres no way to get the new currency in meaningful amounts without payment to upgrade heroes did the math you get 1 red/highest tier formula a month for free after trading in the *1* free green one you get a day and to evolve a red hero to their third tier(not even max mind you) takes 100 formulas thats 100 months+ it would take to theoretically get it free assuming no ungodly ads or paying for it with real money. Also WHY TF is the newest hero still a paid only hero no free path? Ignoring the DLC that’s also a paid thing for access to a large number of new characters and such that I do get being separate and why did you have to replace the original card modifier system with a significantly inferior one that even with the huge refund-conversion of potatoes(coins) is way less powerful than the original model? Edit: the battle pass is also super flawed in that all my chips are above level 3 yet I get no credit for it and lose the rewards even though it should in a sane world be automatically added cause I’ve literally done better than that(heck all my chips are almost level 5/maxed now)

First time experience is bad
Simple game play, but the menus, mechanics and UI are to complicated. So many things to choose and press, doesn’t give me a chance to just play the game before showing me all of its mechanics and offering me things to buy.

I only put 3 stars instead of 5 because people will look at these lower reviews. I honestly love this game and it’s fun to just play when nothing else is going on, it’s simple and I’m very happy to have this game.

The forced tutorial hints have broken the game. I cannot play it without the boxes appearing and they are not on the screen so they cannot be dismissed.

Just why
To be clear I absolutely love the core gameplay loop,but WHY do you need to pump it with adds AND make it so you can’t use the classes you usually have at the start for example YOU CANNOT USE well rounded without going through hours of play and adds just to use the basic starting class

The rest of the reviews say this is pretty good and I would think that too but I can’t access the game because it kicks me out before anything comes on, you could take my opinion with a grain of salt because I’m on an iPhone 6 but I wish it was available to me.

My brotato experience in history with the game
All right, so I first heard about rotate when ssundee started playing it so I went to mobile and thought it would be the same. It was not. So four years. It was sitting there waiting for the big update that would take it from mobile to more like PC and now it’s gotten so much love that it’s amazing. I’ve been playing it for almost every day the one thing I wish they would fix is survival a way to get fries

I’m really disappointed. Brotato used to be a fantastic little game, but the iOS version feels like it has been turned into a pay-to-win experience. There are far too many in-app purchases, and they take away from what made the game so fun in the first place. It’s a shame to see such a great game lose its charm because of aggressive monetization.

The ads hijack your phone and you cannot get out of them. The first ad locked down my phone. I tried to escape the ad for a couple minutes before I force closed the app and uninstalled. Completely unplayable.

Ok so brotato (the original not the mobile) is the best and most addicting came ever, HOWEVER, the mobile version is mid. You need to waste coins that are hard to get unless you PAY FOR VIP just to get new characters, but still good.

The game itself is and always has been amazing. However, the way they are forcing people to pay money by spamming ads anytime you do anything within the game makes it a total disappointment. How can you be proud of having your game require the player to watch ads anytime they want to complete an action or start a map or level up their character. It’s despicable, it’s disgusting, and it’s just pure greed from the developers. Do better
Not as good as the console version
I mostly play on a Xbox one and it’s much better there the mobile version is to complicated/confusing they have added a lot of unnecessary stuff like a shop and pop up’s “40% of everything” the ui is not very good on mobile so play it on console the console version is 10/10

I don’t remember this ever being a pay money and watch videos to progress kind of game on iOS. It’s a great game on other platforms but why they did this monetization model on iOS is beyond me, it ruins the game. Not a good look.
Great game filled with ads
The ads are an mechanic is this game, you can infinitely reroll ads to the point you can just stand in the middle and kill everything. Great game otherwise but yah the ads will get to you.
Fantastic all around game
Just a great overall game in my opinion. Doesn’t bombard you with ads, you only get them when you choose to get them. And it’s just a really fun game to play all together. Would definitely recommend
