This is easily the best Sudoku app!The creators have an amazing flow of advancing to help you learn, even if you’re a pro. This is the best classic sudoku on the App Store.
i can't with these ads
the game has a nice interface and candidate highlighting features. but sitting through the same 3 minute unskippable ad every time instart a new game gets old real quick.
No sounds
No sounds!! I miss the clicks.
Ads are fine, malicious pop-ups go too far
I understand that as a free app user I should expect ads. While somewhat pervasive they had not gotten in the way of enjoying the game. More recently there is a repeated pop up in Safari leading to a malicious site that is designed to look like Amazon. That goes too far for me. I am removing this app.

Highly recommend!
Like another reviewer mentioned, I was a long time Enjoy Sudoku user and needed a replacement after it stopped being available. This app is pretty much perfect. Dual number pads, highlighting for easier pattern recognition, cross platform sync (!) and buy once to play on every platform (!!!). Only small complaint is I wish there was a way to draw filled in rectangles when highlighting candidates but the normal cell highlighting does mostly what I need anyways. I like that you can buy the unbundled or bundled games and they have the same interface and engine. If you're picky like me and find 99% of sudoku apps to be trash then try this one.
Horrible interface
The clean and elegant lines of the previous interface have gone - replaced by busy colours and backgrounds . Hate it.
Level sehr leicht
Ich mag die App wirklich sehr und finde sie ist gut gestaltet. Es gibt ein gutes Level-Prinzip, Statistiken und Tipps falls man mal nicht weiterkommt. Ich bin gerade Sudoku Anfänger und brauche deshalb die Erklärhilfe. Allerdings finde ich, dass sogar die Experten Sudokus sehr einfach zu lösen Windhund ich habe davor Apps getestet, wo ich es als schwerer empfand (habe mich aber trotzdem bewusst für diese App entschieden wegen den Tipps und der Level-Struktur) Ich fände es cool, wenn die Level ein wenig schwerer gemacht werden könnten und vielleicht sogar ein paar Meisterlevel kostenlos wären.
Ads need to be fixed
Awesome app all around. Been using it for a about a week. Now when I choose a hint, an ad pops up. Not a problem, but it’s never ending. No ability to skip or close out and it just continues from ad to ad. Force closing does not work as it just comes back.
Most Flexible Options
Love this version of Sudoku. I have been able to set it up the way I like and have tried different settings outside of my comfort zone that have actually helped me explore new ways to play. The hints are very helpful to learn more complex moves. Love the ability to select multiple boxes, undo AND redo, etc. Overall, my favorite sudoku app that I found through MANY different options.
Unplayable
Ads don't go away! They open up Amazon store. The last over a minute with no way to stop them. Sometimes I have to restart the app. Fix the ads! Horrible!
Good puzzles, interface, & features. But only if you pay, bc the ads on free version are awful
Really nice if you’re trying to uplevel your sudoku skills. I was used to paper sudokus and the NYT ones, and this has the ability to do two different kinds of notes + color coding and drawing on the board, so it’s really helpful for more complex sudoku or for learning new techniques. The dark mode is also really nice. If you’re trying to learn, the hints and strategies can also be helpful. I like that they have a glossary of strategies with drawings, but sometimes the explanations are confusing. Still, this has helped me become a lot better at sudoku. The ads on the free version are *really* *really* over the top and annoying, though. Like, borderline unusable. They’re doing the “frustrate you so much you either spend the money or hate the app” strategy, not the “ad revenue makes this worth giving you a decent experience” strategy. So if you’re looking for a free app, this is not the one.
Great App - Great Customer Service
I had a Sudoku app (Sudoku+ released in 2008), for more than 15 years, playing over 2000 games. I upgraded my phone in May 2025. When I upgraded my phone, I found my app had been discontinued. I tried unsuccessful to get it back. I started a search for a new app. I tried 23 different apps. None of them are even close to having all the features in my app. Until I found, Logic Wiz Classic Sudoku. This app had more features and tools than my previous app that was discontinued. Except for one that I liked. When a digit was selected, it was highlighted. As soon as you select coloring mode, the digit was no longer highlighted. I sent a note to the developers. Approximately two weeks later, THE FEATURE WAS ADDED. This app has all the features as my previous, plus a few more.
New ads make it unplayable
Pop up ads cover ⅔ of the screen and make it unplayable.
hidden puzzle glitch
great sudoku app. my only issue is there are no joke hundreds of puzzles that are hidden in the menu from me? for example, I have 300 some puzzles competed in the expert category. There are about 550-600 total puzzles. Yet in the semi completed / incomplete puzzle section there are only 10 puzzles available. they are no where in the app and the only way to reveal “new” puzzles is to complete one of those 10 puzzles. Then, all of the sudden, there’s a “new” puzzle that was somehow numerically before the completed puzzle. Another example of this: I wanted to race my friend. He was working on expert puzzle number 4. I scroll up to the top of my expert puzzle screen. I had puzzles 1-3 competed and then 5-9 competed. Weird. So I scroll to the bottom to see if it was a puzzle I had started and given up on but no, it wasn’t in the semi complete section either. This puzzle is hiding from me!
Great game
I have played many different Sudoku games. This is the best and it’s worth the price.
Game-play itself is OK, but it far exceeds my tolerance for ads
The game-play is decent, but not my favorite. I would have considered paying for the upgrade if the free version hadn’t been so annoying with the ads. I’ll pay for an app if I think it’s good, but, on principle, not just to make it stop ticking me off.
Best sudoku app by far
I would give it a 5 but ads MID GAME is horrible, completely cuts off my line of thoughts, so please remove them.❤️
Ads cover game!
I understand that ads are the way to make money but these are too aggressive. I’m filling in a puzzle and an ad will cover half the screen. It used to cut to an ad once in a while but now I spend half the time closing ads so I can see the puzzle.
Way too many ads
The ads in this app are ridiculous. You start a new sudoku, you get an ad. You auto fill the candidate pencil marks, you get an ad. You start a new sudoku, another ad. It’s insulting

A well-designed app for higher level players
I lost my long-term sodoku app (Enjoy Sodoku - the one with the Thinker icon) with my recent iPhone update. It took me several days of searching and trying to find this worthy successor. Thank you Logic Wiz! The app has a nicely designed and intuitive user interface with many customization settings, including autopencil, which I use when working tougher grids so I don’t have to grind through that step. The Expert level puzzles require basic “next level” solving methods such as unique rectangles. I’ve not tried the Master level, so I don’t know how complex they can get yet. A true 5/5 app that I was very happy to pay for.
Autofill at end
score would be very close to 5 if an automatic finish was available when most of remaining cells wee naked single and a very small no of cells that would collapse to naked singles as others were solved. I wonder if. It is copyright issue. Still, best one I’ ve found.
The best sudoku app
I have tried many apps, this is with out doubt the best sudoku app. The puzzles are art, the controls are amazing, the hint are actually teach you how to become a better player. You can also learn all the strategies of sudoku. The weekly challenges are very entertaining.
