What people like
- Very helpful if you don't speak the local language.
- Works perfectly offline so you never get lost.
- Covers many different cities in one single app.
What they complain about
- Ads block the screen and won't go away.
- The app is slow and lags when scrolling.
- It lacks important details like platform numbers or prices.
Worse than old local version
I used the old local version for Seoul. Now it is only adds. You cannot check anything without being annoyed for at least 5 seconds with unstoppable adds. Just use googlemaps or Kakaomap….
Terrible app & security risks
Recently Barcelona TMB replaced their app with Mapway. Can’t find any way to get rid of constant ads for Indeed App. Finally deleted Indeed. Worthless because I’m retired. Now receiving ads from Mapway’s scammers indicating that my iPhone has been infected by over 100 viruses. Stay away from Mapway!
App ok
Super App
Hilft mir sehr im Nahverkehr
Sucks
Can’t get ad off screen so app is useless!
Omg so many ads
It works but too many ads. Be good if it was free. Suddenly getting an ad at the most inappropriate time isnt helpful.
Findet keine Adressen,
sondern nur Haltestellen
So cool💎
Nice
Impossible advertising and hard to use
This took the place of some local maps and has all the worst ads in it. Only use if you are prepared to pay for vip. And then it doesn’t have the same features that the original Barcelona map had.
Nueva app
Gracias
Could be good but isn’t
This app could be good but isn’t. I got it for the Tokyo subway and it was OK but could have been so much better. What’s missing? Well it doesn’t tell which destination train to get on or the platform number. It doesn’t tell you the number of the station you get off at. It doesn’t tell you how much the journey is. It doesn’t tell you when you change to lines that require a new ticket. And its routing is a bit suspect. For example it keeps trying to reroute you onto the Monorail to Haneda Airport even though the Asakusa/Keihin line goes straight there to the point of sending you back on yourself if you don’t change at Hamamatsucho. It takes you a few minutes extra but save struggling to change lines with luggage. To be honest I find Google maps much better and it gives you options, not a single route. And finally as everyone else says, the ads are annoying. Don’t mind the ads per se but they pop up and get in the way when you most need travel information quickly. When you help your advertisers annoy your customers it’s hardly going to be good for their business is it?
Indispensabile
Ottima e precisa! Indispensabile!
Pop up ads
This app is unusable. The pop-up ads completely block the screen and there is no way out of them.
Current MAP
Basics for the larger cities EU
Easy schedule
App does not give the one thing I want-a simple list of L times. I want to be able to scan a list not have to wait until the next day to figure out what time the trains will come to my stop.
Madrid metro
Previous app Madrid metro is easier and less add than this current app MAPWAY
Works well!
I’d previously purchased one of the specific city apps, and they deprecated it in favor of the more universal application that supports all cities. It does work really well. I frequent three different cities with subway systems and I use this map to get around them every time I travel to them. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants offline system maps that simply won’t fail. :)
App showing walking directions
The app usually works, but the past few days it have been showing walking directions instead of trains. What’s going on?!
Good but not perfect
Please fix the inability to use the search station function. That’s a fairly important feature that won’t allow me to click or type in anything.
Bombards you with full screen Ads
I’ve stopped using this as when I want to look something up quickly on the metro, it bombards you with ads that you can’t clear for a long time.
Basic
Produces an accurate but basic output. For Tokyo rail provides routes but doesn’t give track number or indicate price. So still need to use other apps for the more detailed information that you need. Haven’t upgraded to the ad free version which might be better but somehow doubt it.
Hongkong
Sehr übersichtlich!
Horrible
I thought this helped you how to take public transportation but only option it gives is to walk everywhere. Not easy to use at all. Google is way better.
Missing 1 important feature
This app could be great…I wish it showed you the full route from your starting location to your destination, rather than just the metro rail routes
Appreciating there is no such thing as a free lunch
Quite a good app, but trying to get rid of the ridiculous adverts is a pain in the neck. I appreciate the app has to be funded somehow for the free version, but the average user of the app is not interested in repetitive advertisements for puerile childish games. Not everyone has the low IQ mind of someone with their head stuck in TikTok or Instagram all day long as their solitary source of anything.
Great app
I had the previous app Seoul Metro and this is a great upgrade. It’s has so convenient and has information outside of just the metro. Highly recommend the app
Terrible
This app stinks. Every time you open it multiple ads pop up, rendering it very slow. Every. Single. Time. The maps are crummy too. Don’t waste your time.
Tokyo trip
Very helpful with navigating the city of Tokyo and subway for someone that doesn't live in a city with a subway. Once down in the subway a little more detail would have been nice but was still very helpful. Was able to use along with Google maps to be able to find different ways to get around Tokyo which allowed us to experience more of the city. Will definitely use this app again when traveling.
Needs improvement
All difficult to use.
Too many ads & Bloated
Yes the app does what it is meant to do, but it is full of ads and is quite bloated. The UI is also very slow.
Great app, keeps getting better
It’s always nice going to Barcelona and using the app with the metro there!
Awful
Can’t get out of ads. No t easy to navigate map for all lines. Awful.
Annoying ads
No need for those loud ads popping up when you want to find a tram route
Needs Maps of Station itself.
Some stations in some huge cities can have 18 different lines going through them. Those stations are HUGE and getting from point A to B can be the real issue when transfering. This will be especially true if you do not understand the foreign language. Another thing that should be included is where do you purchase your ticket and the many many ways you can pay for it.
Works great for Seoul
It is useful for someone who knows very little Korean.
App stinks
New app blows. Can I just get home? Can’t hear the conductor. So I went to the app. Have to pay for premium to not get hit with ads. Can’t even check where the active location of the train is. Too confusing to be on the move.
No updates
Map is not update for long time now, Hamburg have new lines and some has been removed. Sent an email weeks ago but still the same. Update: they fixed the map and adding even more cities. Is now finally making sense
Lacking features
Trip planner. Save. Send to. Share.
So far the best transit app for DC
Moving here soon so I am using this app to move around using transit. So far it’s working very well and easy to follow. If it continues to serve me well, I will definitely upgrade!
Horrible for CDMX
The app-even the paid version-offers only the subway (metro) network, but none of the other integrated services like metrobus, Tolleybus, RPT, Cablebus… etc; and none of the true connective tissue of the system, the Colectivos
Good app
Good overall but ads can be annoying at times.
Cannot Scroll or Zoom
I have an amazingly hard time scrolling and zooming into things on the app
Train times
Just want to find out departures from a station but the app always wants to start with a plane start and end.
