Great App
This is a really nice app. Clear and easy to read. This morning I did not know which station to use, so I found the app has a button for that and I quickly got the answer. Awesome! The only thing I am missing is how long it takes to get from one place to another.

App isn't keeping up with other free apps
Wow!! Loved this app until a coworker showed me the light! Another app which you can find on your own, is much better in virtually every way that I can find anyway. My biggest complaint of this app is that every time I need to go to Pudong it won't give me the 'quickest route' option using the Maglev to and from Pudong. Why bother showing the Maglev on the map if your transfer bot in your coding won't account for it? Other things like less popular trams and train lines with limited distances aren't shown at all but they do exist and connect directly with a few metro stations.
Restore purchases doesn't work
I had to reset my phone and when I downloaded this app again restore purchases didn't work.
Missing Many useful simple options

It's just unfair
I purchased this app long time ago and have been using it for years until recently I tried to install it on my new iPhone. Why do I have to pay for the so-called VIP mode which offers exactly the same functions I've been using for years. Do I get a refund for losing the prior version of the app? That's unfair and disgusting.

Better than a DIdi
The metro in Shanghai beats all the traffic above ground but you need to know how to get there. This app is the best! I’m so glad I upgraded as I live in the outskirts and it’s important to know when lines open/close.
Rip off
Don't pay the $1.99 for the train "times" !! They only say the first and last train! It's not like Hyperdia with an actual time table. And the "tips" are nothing more than things like "McDonald's at exit 4," etc. Not helpful. I'll be requesting a refund from Apple as soon as I'm home.

Good. Should update more quickly when new lines open. Also sometimes I don't think it calculates the quickest routes. It needs to take into account stations with quick interchanges like Longde road and South Shaanxi road when making these calculations.
Missing 3 new lines
Lines 12, 13 and 16 are missing. Not at all helpful.
Does not work well
Problem using this APP is that when you try to “TURN iPHONE” to show taxi driver the address, nothing happens. This feature used to work on earlier versions, but not on this version!

Looks like the author does not recognize the purchase in the past, which makes this app junk.
Shanghai Map
Shame that the International Airport is not featured (It now is!). Would have given an extra star if the New high speed train link form the airport to Longyang Rd was added ( Now added!) It would be a great help if the PinYin was accented so that one could pronounce the characters correctly. There is an option to hear the names spoken out aloud, which is great, - but the accented PinJin would be an added bonus. Nice job.

Very up-to-date Metro and Street map of Shanghai
I bought this thinking it was just a Metro map, but it also includes a Street Map, which is in the league of the best Street Maps of Shanghai that I have seen. The benefit is being able to use it offline, which helps a lot. This version has English translations for the Metro lines and from that, it is easy to get around. It would help in future to have a dual language as some stations further out do not have English maps in them, so to get around, you have to look for the characters. Also, most of the Street maps in China seem to be able to translate the road names and building names, but for some reason the names of the Metro stations are not translated on the Street Maps. These would be a big improvement is esh could include them - then it would get 5 stars. For the moment, if you are visiting Shanghai, it is likely that you only need this app - no need to buy another (I bought a street map app of Shanghai - there is no need - this app has it all - I could have saved £1.19 - not a King's Ransom clearly, but it would buy your lunch here!). Enjoy exploring Shanghai.
App is fine but I won't pay twice
App can be of good help. However, I ve already bought the app 2 years ago, before the dev has decided to turn this into an IAP app, making it necessary to pay again for the same features.
great paid app, but why the hell are there ads in the new version?
I paid for this app. There were no ads for the past two years. Now there is this ugly advertising taking up precious real estate in my PAID search. Minus two stars from the 5 I would have given just for the ads.
Best Shanghai Metro App Around
Spent 2 weeks in Shanghai. This app absolutely was the easiest and best to use. Before leaving, I had down loaded 4 different free and paid Shanghai Metro apps. Within 2 days, I abandoned the other apps and used this one. I even recommended this app to several foreigners who asked me about it. You can’t go wrong.
Paid for this app, but still have ads ?!
Had to download again on a new phone - now have ads everywhere ! Tried to restore purchases, nothing happens, very disappointed :( Otherwise great app, had it for four years , very happy to see offline exit numbers are back!

Good metro map application, could do with something to mark the position of the river, but otherwise very handy.
Basic: needs much more
Not much help unless you have Google Maps on your phone. It can't tell you which is the best station for your destination, nor does it give directions. Might as well take a photo of the shanghai Metro Map on your iphone and then toggle between that and Google Maps, which is what I did before I got this app. Unless new features are coming don't waste your time or money.

This app is incredible. We just moved to Shanghai, and it was a lifesaver as we figured out the metro. The best feature is planning a journey: just tap entry and exit stations and the app tells you exactly where to go—particularly helpful when the stations are crowded. It was so helpful, we downloaded the app for Bangkok, and it was just as valuable there.

Better to use IPHONE gps!
Cmon, it's better just to use the iPhone maps that come standard with iPhone. I was disappointed the location is not updated as you move along yr journey. Also if you know an address but it's not a station location name then you can't search for the appropriate station or lines to take you. You can't plan yr trip using street view which is a basic requirement, that's only available from metro map view. The "plan route" doesn't always come up, you have to toggle back and forth to get it to appear. I expected much better given the price as other cheaper apps offer equivalent function. Back to using the iPhone maps! Don't waste yr money!

I really love this app! I had this other map before that didn’t get improving info as quick as this app. But, there are improvements I could suggest: 1. You should include the new extensions and lines, like Lines 5, 10, 13 and 14 and say “Under Construction” next to the extended bit and highlight the extensions in progress in grey, so people know what easier routes they could plan in the future. 2. You should highlight the Park Stations in green (Jinjiang Park in yellow), the Railway Stations in grey, and the Airports in bold black. You should also change the shape for virtual interchange stations, e.g. Longhua (Line 11, 12) is a square shape instead of an oval shape. 3. You should create a map for every station (If not, just the popular ones) that has things like Lifts, Ticket Machines, Stairs, Toilets, obviously exits, and Escalators and there could be an up or down arrow on them showing if they go up or down. 4. You should adjust the river on the map a bit, without having to stretch out lines like Line 11 (Longyao Rd. - Oriental Sports Center) and make the river split in two, going around Fuxing Island Station. (Line 12) 5. You should allow VIPs to suggest ideas on the app without having to type in their email, which is why I am suggesting here. Well, that’s all I have to say, but thank you for your hard work on this app and please consider at least one of my ideas ;)

Good but Slow start and reboots
Hello, The app is good at what it does as long as the app is already turned on. I wished the app boot was faster and that it didn't have the mention "asia's best metro maps" at the boot. Looks like we need to read an advertisement everytime... Another thing, very annoying is the reboot of my cellphone when starting the app. It always happens when the iPod app is working... Besides, i repeat: the app is functional and good. Hope the dev team fixes these crashes. Good luck. Thanks for taking my opinion into account.
The app is ok 90%
The app is ok but should have a clearer facility to say start and finish and offer take line 4 then change at then take line 8 the directions seem to be only on dots on map, it's very usable and worth having just should be improved.
Works offline!
This is the only map you’ll need for Shanghai! Upgrade for $1.99 for the VIP version. It has pronunciations for each stop along with street maps in both Google and Apple with all the exit locations, and operating times! Best of all it can be used offline. Since I will only be using WiFi while there, this is a HUGE selling point for me. Couldn’t be happier with this app!

Good simple app
A good app to have in your pocket esp as there are no maps in the SH subway! But otherwise it is a bit simple with no suggestions or highlights around each station etc. Offline map would be handy.
