Great cat eye spy
My wife and I work all day everyday and we have two cats. We like to check in on them just to make sure that they’re okay. The eye4 camera is great for that. We can even use the laser light to play with them for a sec. It’s great
No longer records to card
My camera no longer records events to the micro sd card I tried to reach customer support which is only a bot and then they send me a bot in Chinese? Time to switch back to RING
Good Functionality
Wish the laser didn’t automatically turn on when opening the camera view from list. Good app otherwise, and the motion detection/ human tracking is pretty responsive unlike other apps.

Don’t know why come back from overseas can’t login the app 🥲
Alarm
My cam is working fine & motion detect is on too. But there is no more alarm alert after using for sometime. This only affect iPhone. Any fix for this issue?

Clear & easy to install & operate
No storage after paying!
I bought this camera over a year ago. It worked great for almost a year, then one day it stopped storing footage. I paid for a storage plan and then it won’t activate. The money was deducted from my account and apple reimbursed me the 1st few times it double charged me but then I tried it again months later and it still won’t work and store any footage. It keeps taking my money but I get no results…and now apple won’t reimburse me. I ask for help with the chat but they never answer and there is no way to contact any actual person.

App not working
I have had two cameras for years and they worked great. Now the app will not open or let me login. Did this company close ?
Stopped Working
My app is no longer working. When I open it now the screen is frozen. I can not login, I can’t doing anything because it doesn’t respond. I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max using IOS 16.3. I really need to get this working ASAP. You can contact me anytime if more information is needed.
Glitchy
The app is very glitchy and connection times out all the time and I’ve tried customer service and they ask me to download another app which is kinda sketchy that they have two apps that do the same thing. Also find it very odd there hasn’t been an update in over a year.

Connection poor
The camera doesnt support 5G wifi. Hence, I wasted to invest this camera for my house. I need to buy new camera that support 5G wifi.
Good and worth be Best!
The program is awesome and for the most part easy to use. Some functions/operation needs more work. It’s difficult to delete all of the reports from motion detection. There needs to be a filter for deletion of events and more updates to the app could take care of issues. This app would be awesome if it could except more cameras from different vendors. It does not work with another popular vendor Z-Ben, and several other vendors from the same Shenzhen area. Hopefully they can add more vendors to the Eye4 family.

Privacy - doesn’t allow to proceed without location sharing
For useless reason app wants users to share their location and it doesn’t allow to configure the camera if users disallow location sharing (the screen keeps going back instead of allowing users to choose wifi and enter password which should suffice for adding a device..location information shouldn’t be mandatory to add your own camera to your own network for which you have password)
App needs to be optimised for IOS 16
Hi, Please note that the app is not in its usual full screen mode after iOS 16 and it crashes randomly. Please update app as we do find it useful for daily usage. Thanks
Very unstable, completely unusable software
When the app connects to the camera, it works great for about 10 seconds, then it disconnects and tries to re-coonect. IF it manages to re-connect, it will take 3-5 mis to re-connect, if it can at all. ½ the time it takes 3-5 attempts to re-connect, then it works fine for a minute or two and drops the connection. It’s too bad that the software makes the camera unusable, as it looses the connection constantly, takes a really long time to re-connect, then as soon as you try to point the camera somewhere it drops the connection, despite the fact that I have a powerful WiFi-mesh network with a very strong signal, the software can’t go 5 mins without loosing the connection. It’s too bad because the camera has 18x optical zoom, is incredibly clear at long distances, it has very strong night vision, but is totally worthless due to the awful camera software.
Bugs Reporting
There is a bug within the app setting since a few years ago until now. After on the alarm for an unlimited period of time, it would turn off itself again after a few days. Go into the alarm setting again, it shows “limitations reached”, after taken away the time limitation, and change to unlimited period of time again, a few days later it would turn itself off again and so on.
Camera
Eye4 is a very useful camera. I can check on my pets while away from home. I see, hear, talk and take pictures with Eye4!! I recommend Eye4 for all surveillance needs‼️
Not User Friendly
Unable to connect my Vstarcam through the app.
No alarm notification
Not sure why, recently there was no motion detection notification sent to iPhone despite it was working well previously. My notification alarms in settings are all turned on and I have checked the eye4 app that the camera will send a notification to the phone right after it triggers the alarm. Need some help here. It is so inconvenient that there is no real time notification.
Support fails to respond
App Works one day and later offline and or not connecting. I am disappointed with the quality of the app that Vstarcam uses.
How to trace who and how many users sharing ?
How can we know who is watching or sharing the ip camera? Any way to control as admin user? Or restrict user from accessing or change setting.
Unable to add device from eye4 app
I bought a C26S IPCAM from Hong Kong. The shop showed me how too add device to my iPhone. When I come back to California, trying to add the same cam by following the same procedures, failed all the time keep saying incorrect password. I have entered factory default password 888888.

Push notifications not working with IOS 16
Since the day before yesterday after upgrading to iOS 16, push notifications are not working. Must be fixed the soonest. Before upgrade the app was working perfectly.

I was able to connect my camera without too many issues. But I’m having trouble figuring out how to view archived video.
Problems
Was working fine for a few years. All of a sudden when I tried the eye4 app a welcome screen popped up. But the screen appears to be frozen and will not let me login or do anything. My camera lights are on. I need assistance.
No notifications
Bug in this app. No notifications when alarm is activated.

Please remove the “Zoom Slide Bar” on the screen! I hate that thing. It’s easy enough to just pinch and zoom. I liked the screen view just the way it was. Thanks!
Won’t ever let me connect now
After over a year of using this and taking it places with me and connecting it there it no longer allows me to connect to it. I’ve done everything that the support has suggested and nothing is working. It works great when it works but when it doesn’t work you’re just out of your money. I recommend looking for a different brand unless money is no object and you don’t care if it works or not.

Handphone silent mode not so silent
When watching videos at night or in “quiet situation/ zone” I would put my phone on silent speaker mode so as not to disturb others. But when I watch videos from Eye4, the video or live is as loud as the eye4 recorder setting that I set! 😱😵💫. How to stop?
What’s the problem?
The app tells me I’m offline as soon as I leave the house. It used to work with no problems.

Constantly losing connection or won’t connect
It will load for a few seconds then it disconnects and i have to exit the app/reload a lot. Otherwise the features are good and great visibility
Require Location permission msg each cam. No thanks.
The last two releases they are trying to make you accept your location so they know where you’re at each time you view your cam on your phone. What is the purpose of a cam if you know where people are? They need to please remove that message once a person clicks cancel until a reboot or never again. I started purchasing other cams for this reason. If I select cancel, do not show that message again until I reboot or never again until I upgrade. Thank you.
