Calorie Tracker Broken
It looks like ya’ll put an update out every month or so. PLEASE FIX THIS! The app is massively handicapped without it. The data base will pull items in if the barcode is scanned, but you currently cannot search for any item that isn’t already in your history. Will update review once ya’ll fix this
Steps gone?
I loved this app until suddenly the step count disappeared. There was an option to have the number of steps show on the app itself (when app closed), but not I am unable to find that option in settings. What has changed? Was this option taken away? The app also gives me a message when I close it that life tracking has been disabled. I would love some help getting the step number back!!!
Used to be my favorite
Argus used to be my favorite, but then, inexplicably, it quit using or talking to Fitness Buddy. Haven’t found another app to use that lets me make custom exercises.
I’ve used this app for years, but it seems to have fallen off a bit lately.
First of all I really love the interface. It's a great way for me to visualize the different factors that go into my physical health. However, I have noticed lately that the nutrition database is really buggy and limited. It frequently returns “no results” when I know there should be at least one result (because I added it myself). The barcode scanner almost never works for me anymore when it used to be my go-to for adding food items. The team also seems to really be phoning in the patch notes in their updates. For example, for the past eight monthly releases, every release seems to have added “new steps and challenge widgets and bug fixes and performance improvements for smoother operations” without anything else since December 2025. And before that they “refreshed the user interface for a cleaner, more modern look” in each of the 3 previous releases in 2025. Don’t get me wrong I like the app and use it a lot, I’m just kind of expecting a bit more at this point.

Argus food data bank
The data bank is non existent. If you didn’t add the food item years ago, you’re not gonna find it today. Talk about not getting your monies worth. And don’t say update you haven’t put an update in eons.

Was a good app for a long time. Needs some TLC now.
I have been using this app for 10+ years. Paying Premium for most of that time. Most recently, it appears Azumio has forgotten about this app. Functionality is spotty and my favorite function, Weightlifting, no longer works on iOS at all. I’ve sent several messages to customer support with no reply. The app was recently updated but now when I try to start the Weightlifting function, the app just crashes out immediately. PLEASE FIX THIS APP BEFORE I MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE.
Counts your steps
I can have 10,000 steps at night but when I check the next morning it will drop steps… sometimes like a thousand or more steps. Why?
Used to love the app
Terrible now. Since the last few updates all the things that were available under the free version are nonexistent. I’ve been on Argus since 2014 so big disappointment but whatever. I bought the premium version for $30 and it’s a waste and I’ve yet to be able to reach anyone about a refund. I bought it, logged back in expecting new features or access to previous ones no longer available without subscription but nothing. Exact same access as the free version. Not worth the money and sadly probably won’t use the app anymore since it’s become so restricted and less user friendly
Steps are still not being registered -fix it please
App is still no registering the daily steps I’ve used it for years and really enjoyed it! Why for the past three months or more has it stopped working!

Stupid ads you cannot close in the sleep app
I seriously made it a point to go out of my way to give you one star, because you invaded the sleep app and made an unclosable full screen WHITE ad with an X that cannot be clicked. Stupid, infuriating design purposely made to irritate you into downloading the Fitness app. I downloaded this specifically to give you one star. Congratulations you’ve not only convinced me that there’s no way I could trust your fitness app, but I’m also going to uninstall your sleep app as well.

Used to be Good
The app has become more and more buggy over the years. It has also lost functionality. The calorie tracker is almost unusable now. Location tracking went away a few years ago. No response to bug reports. It seems like they ran out of money. Very disappointing as I loved the interface and it used to be so good.
Wish I’d never updated the app
As i have issues with tachycardia due to autonomic dysfunction I really liked the way i could keep a long term record of my heart rate as well as work out equivalent active minutes to assess the quality of cardiovascular exercise, however on updating the app I no longer can find an option to take a daily HR reading and the EAM feature seems to have stopped working. Following some episodes of unexplained chest pain and breathing problems I had been considering upgrading to the premium version to try to track diet and activity in greater detail but I dare not risk that given two of the most useful features have disappeared. I would have rated it 5* but for these omissions.

New update 7/15: Since they sold fitness buddy off, it no longer transfers the workouts from fitness buddy over to Argus, so it’s not even tracked Now longer able to log exercises on the Apple version since the update. Every update takes away things you can do, now I can’t even log a workout with specific exercises to keep track. It’s literally worthless app now. Even going to their workout buddy to try to log them they don’t work I’ll be cancelling my premium account immediately

For the second time this won’t track my heart rate rate and has lost years of same data.
Crashes a lot and won’t stay open in the background
I used to love this app. Now I basically use it to track my weight because I have an Azumio scale.

Using it on a free tier. Active minutes logging, running log and weight tracker are enough.
Bug filled app😡
I have used this ap for over 5 years and it has been constantly crashing and counting or coordinating steps and challenges 😏 Customer support is totally non responsive except for deleting all the negative reviews this app. Whatever you do don’t spend any money for all the frustrations that Argus causes!!
Steps not registering
I’ve been using this app to track daily steps for many years. As another recent review mentions, the app seems to have stopped registering steps. My iPhone inbuilt step counter is working fine, but Argus is showing nothing at all. It has been a few weeks. I hope this can get fixed.

Cmon, been using for 10 years and you get rid of heart feature so you can peddle your other app? So much for tracking my heart relative to other activities, like how my meds, coffee, etc interact. All for naught

Duplicates Strava activities
It’s a good app but I’m sick of having to delete about 2 weeks worth of duplicate Strava activities several times per week. Every few days, sometimes every day for a week or so I spend a few minutes deleting the same duplicates I already deleted several times before. Strava activities have a unique activity ID so it shouldn’t be hard to not import data that has already been imported. I’ve been doing this on and off for a couple of years and recently it’s become so frequent I’ve had enough. Too buggy to waste my time on, also fed up of the “special discount upgrade offer” being rammed down my throat every single day. Byee!!!!
Good potential
Nice to see an alternative to Fitbit for the challenges, but other features are lacking. Unable to see miles walked or set personal goals for the kind of thing. Also unable to link my Fitbit due to an error but can’t see a way to report it : The app you're trying to connect did not provide valid information to Fitbit. Please report this issue to them. Developer information: invalid_request - Invalid redirect_uri parameter value
After many years of using it started crashing
Great App used it for many years. Today it just started crashing as soon as I enter data. Restarted phone - same. Reinstalled app - same. Very disruptive to tracking. Don’t want to switch to a different app
Bug fix needed!
App is now not showing any portion options, so you’re limited to adding existing foods in your recent list. Fine if you eat the same amount of the same things every day I guess but otherwise useless. The app also still crashes mid-workout (and workouts can’t be resumed or amended). Still no function to do a previous workout again nor to see historical log of sets/reps/weights etc.
New Apple Watch
I recently upgraded from my Apple Watch Series 2 that I’ve used for several years. With the Argus app for that Apple Watch I could tap “walking” and the exercise would start. When I wanted to pause, resume, or end the walk I could apply some force to the watch screen and the app would give me the option to pause, or end the walk. With my new Apple Watch, the SE 2 if I tap the screen the walk pauses and if I tap it again it resumes. The other options are gone! Now I have to end the walk on my iPhone. How do I get those options back?!

Used to be good
I used to recommend Argus to everybody I met. I even used it in my classroom and had challenges with my students. Used to. This app used to be good. About a month ago it stopped tracking my steps accurately or I would lose anywhere from 500 to 2000 steps if that wasn’t annoying enough now every time somebody sends me a challenge, I get a notification that the challenge was deleted. I thought it was rather strange and asked the Argus community about it and they agreed, several telling me that they had the same thing happening to them. I’ve reached out to the company a few times now and the last couple of times they don’t even respond to a bug email request for help. i’ve now canceled my premium subscription because nothing works.
Food tracking needs work
I have a lot of trouble with the food tracking. It should have the option to track by cups. I have no idea how many ounces or grams a bowl of spaghetti is. But I can easily measure a cup. It also doesn’t have a lot of the national brands. They need to make a deal with Fitbit or My Fitness Pal to use their database.
Doesn’t read steps from Apple Watch!
I paid for the premium package for access to the exercises, and I monitor all my food intake and offset this against my activity. Problem is this app is useless to me as it doesn’t pull any information from the health app that’s been recorded by my Apple Watch, so when I’ve done 9000 steps the app records as little as 1500 as it only picks up steps done whilst your phone is physically being carried with you. This means ALL the data is incorrect (eg calories used etc) so it’s pretty much useless! You can’t even manually enter the correct information and so all my daily reports that help with motivation etc are incorrect and pointless. I feel a bit mislead because the description implies it works well with Apple Watch. SUCH a shame because if this recorded activity from the watch, and showed accurate data it would literally be AMAZING!! Im really really disappointed but hopefully the programmers have something about them, and will realise that if they fix this their downloads would go through the roof as it has the potential to be the best all in one fitness tracker on the market, but right now is as much use a chocolate teapot ! The calorie counting database also could do with a bit of work as there is a lot of information in there that’s wrong. For example a cup of rice is listed several times and ALL the calorific values are completely different - some foods differ wildly so it’s always safer to manually enter the calories of food as the database is really unreliable. This does impact on the usability and I suppose is a downside of allowing users to add to the database, plus I think a lot of the data is based on American foods so this won’t help. The work out portion is great though it’s easy to use, very clear videos and animations and there is a wide variety of work outs available although I think you need to be a premium member to get all of the workouts but it’s only about £23 per year which is WAY cheaper than all these apps that may you subscribe and it’s really good to use so worth every penny. Overall has such good potential to be the best but sadly won’t reach this potential whilst it’s not pulling data from the Apple Watch and not giving accurate reports of actual activity. I’m living in hope that they sort themselves out and get this fixed in an update.

Disappointed as I pay for this app annually. When I’ve mentioned this no response. Usually it would be a five star app as records everything I need.

A lot of the features they depict in the preview section of the App Store have been removed. They dummied down the app DO MUCH from when they first released it. Making it kind of pointless to use. The app is misrepresented in the App Store. DELETED.
Total crash out. Can’t contact developer.
After updating to latest Keynote (10.1), Azumio crashes out on opening. Tried everything. Restarting phone (three times), deleting and reinstalling app (twice). Tried to contact developer via website but message fails every time. Hoping somebody from the team will read this!
After 5 yrs free, app automatically starts monthly subscription
I’ve used this app for five years. As a casual user I was content to use basically the pedometer. I have no interest in ‘following’ other users. You can imagine my angst when I discovered last week that I had been automatically enrolled in a monthly subscription of £13.99. I neither requested this nor want it. I expect a refund.
Good but room for improvement
I love the interface on this app. I like the way it’s so easy to add foods and activities and get an overview of how the day is going but there are a few issues. The app no longer works with heart rate monitors. I’ve tried five different brands now and none have been detected. For those of us in the UK, if would be helpful to have a hybrid units option. I’d like to be able to measure my weight in kilograms but have distance measured in miles but this does not seem to be possible. More British foods in the database would be nice too
