Awful
3 year old wash machine randomly stopped working. Parts to fix will be well over $500..smart care app says nothings wrong turn it off and back on. Will NEVER touch another Samsung device
Great washer
This is my 2nd Samsung washer & dryer. My clothes are very clean & whites are white. Use sanitizer for whites & heavy for dirty jeans. I use best laundry detergent Persil ... never bleach For white I use an extra Pod with detergent. Love my clean clothes
Tech Unworthiness
This is the explanation provided if one needs to use the App to diagnosis a problem (Smart Care) “depending on the situation. 1. Turn the power off and on and then press the Smart Care button and hold for 3 seconds before 10 seconds is passed after turning the power on again. 2. If a problem occurs in the washing machine, immediately press the Smart Care button. For more information, refer to the user manual.” What !!!! Does Samsung have anyone technical who proof reads their instruction FYI The App crashes immediately when use in this function

Worst solution ever
Leave it to Samsung to create a more complicated solution to something as simple as post codes for a motherboard. This could be searchable. But instead I spend 5 minutes trying to get this app to correctly identify something that could easily be “C6”. And in the end it tells me nothing is wrong with my non-functioning dryer.

Werkt prima, snap de negatieve reviews niet. Als die display niet herkent kan je de streepjes handmatig invoeren op je telefoon. Scannen gaat wat lastig maar je moet ervoor zorgen dat display van wasmachine niet in zonlicht staat, dan werkt het prima.
Insuficiente
Solo ayuda para hacer un chequeo rápido de funcionamiento todas las demás funciones como control exterior e interior no sirven, nunca pude configurar a internet. No es funcional. 😔

Terrible
Manual, internet says to use app for basic settings like turning off the end of cycle chime, etc. There are no options/setting to do this. This app is terrible.
Quite good
But a bit tricky to get it focused on my iPhone 6 but eventually it managed to recognise the code on the washer with code -: witch mean it has no checkpoints with the washer. So guessing the washing machine is okay. But the app sometimes crashes though when going back into it but rest of the app is okay.
Clefs wifi incorrect
Connections impossible, clefs wifi sur l'application fonctionne pas (erreur de clefs wifi de l'application: WASHER2012) Mise à jours urgente. iPhone 6s lave linge pourtant compatible. Samsung addwash WW80K6414QW.
Ne marche pour une connexion à l'extérieur
L'application Et bien faite dans l'ensemble sauf qu'il y a un bug au niveau de la connexion à l'extérieur il reconnaît bien la machine mais l'application plante.
Très bonne application
Très bonne application problème résolu ! Au lieu de faire appel à un réparateur ou pire jeter la machine, grâce à l application qui a identifié le problème ( capteur de porte ) nous avons résolu le problème nous meme en peu de temps.

Pas du tout correct !
Application pas adapter aux iPhone 6 et 6 Plus ... Quand je passe en commande extérieur les icônes sont pas afficher et en sous titre des icônes il est noté unknow... Mise a jour pour régler ses anomalies la serait t'il possible ? Merci Samsung ! Et peut être que je mettrai une note meilleure après mise a jour !!

There are so many 1 Star reviews on here that complain about connectivity issues, lack of features, etc. All this app was designed for is to check error codes so that the consumer can be walked through by a customer service rep when problems happen. Basically so that a repairman doesn’t need to be called out for little things that can be easily fixed. It is so absurd that people don’t understand this! One review basically blamed this app because the person wasted either 20 or 25k (I guess they forgot how much they were trying to lie about spending in their 1 paragraph review)??? It’s a good app if you know how to use it. My washer was displaying a weird error code which basically just needed to be reset. Used the scan feature on the app, reset the machine, calibrated the drum, boom 5 minutes later it was back up and running.
Smart Care
App is for washer only, not dryer. No app search results for dryer only. Chat support took me to a range discussion, not dryer. Dryer voice support tried to sell me a replacement because repair cost would equal cost for a new appliance.
Washer Review
Sometimes recognises the washing machine and status other times tell me it's off when I see its actually washing a load. Rang Samsung helpline - they're next to useless

Please update this app to support SSID configurations with an apostrophe (') in the name. This app and wifi functionality on my washer and dryer is useless to me until that happens. Thanks

Samsung products are complete trash!!! Will never buy another product made by this company. The smart care is a joke after 4 years there’s no support for the appliances washer/dryer I purchased. Here I am looking to have to replace the trash appliances I wasted my hard earned money buying 4 years ago! Lasted 4 years!!! Really Samsung!!

It'd be a better app if you could set a start time, like an alarm clock! So the wash cycle would just finish as I woke up

I was very impressed at how the app worked in combination with the customer service staff to resolve my problem without the need for a repairman. The app made the situation much easier to navigate.
One star
I’m only giving this a one star because I wish you could use it like the Smart things app. My laundry is in my basement so it would be nice to know when my washer is done without having to go down to check or set an alarm. I like the smart things app because it tells me when my fridge door is opened and closed. I just wish this one was the same.
Outdoor control still does not work
A couple of updates in and the indoor control works - however the outdoor control does not, even after registration on the smart appliances website. How is the app meant to control outside the house when you have at no point been asked to give the IP address of your router!?

If I could give zero stars
I outfitted my house with all the newest appliances in 2013 that Samsung had to offer, the apps were glitchy at best. Recently I went to relook at the apps and found that they aren’t even available anymore for the models of appliances that I still own. They figure you’ll spend $25k on appliances then when they changes all the apps and make them obsolete then you will just rebuy all the appliances so you can use the new app they offer. Um no. These are the last Samsung products that I will buy. Over the years I’ve had many and they don’t support any of their earlier products. You can’t find the parts to fix them, you get no support at all. I would rather buy from any other company than this one, and let me tell you, my whole house is covered head to toe with their products. As each issue arises with each one, I replace it with a non Samsung brand. Just because a model is an older one shouldn’t mean that the company who made that model should abandon it. The products don’t last, then when you need to fix them the parts have become obsolete, then when you try to get support it’s a joke because there isn’t any. They just send you in circles instead of telling you they can’t help you.
UPDATE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
This app needs an update ASAP! The washer and dryer are great but considering they are a product of Samsung I would assume the app would follow. When you exit the app it does disconnect but it will reconnect when you search for it again since the washer's wifi is still on. One thing I would LOVE for the updated app to include is the ability to customize the washing/drying cycle to your preference like you can do manually on the washer/dryer itself. If I want a specific cycle such as "Heavy Duty" I'd like to be able to change the water temperature from "hot" to "cold" on my phone, or add an extra spin etc. This would definitely be an added bonus!

I was a bit apprehensive to try this app on my iPhone, but did it and it was very easy , it worked straight away and linked up to my phone, brilliant if you ask me !
Trash and garbage
Bought a brand new washer and dryer set with smart care and almost two years later, have yet to be able to use said feature. The crappy app only recognizes the washer’s code, never the dryer. And even though the washer’s code is recognized, I still can’t control the washer from the app, because there’s no way to see the supposedly linked washer to be able to do anything with it. Waste of money and time.
Great idea, but needs work
I've setup a wireless router in the basement and had no connectivity issues. However, the app is extremely limited. You can only chose from the factory preset cycles. There is no way to customize anything (e.g. heavy duty, with cold water instead of hot). What is worse is that if you don't start the machine with the app, you cannot connect to it, no info on status (e.g. How long to finish) or anything. I'm hoping Samsung will provide more options, until then it is pretty useless.

I can get the app to work to start the load of wash but it is always disconnected before the wash finishes. The idea is neat and I hope Samsung figures out how to fix this soon.
