Very reliable
The Phillips Hue environment is very expensive. But, you get what you pay for. The app offers a lot of features and automations. We have over 40 devices and everything works exactly as expected. Very happy with its reliability.

Beperkt in keuzes
Het is een prima app, maar het werkt soms erg vermoeiend. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld geen keuzes meer maken tussen je eigen kleurpatronen van de lampen wanneer je probeert 3 zones op 1 switch te zetten. Dan moet je er 1 zone van maken en lijkt de app niet meet te begrijpen dat lampen los van elkaar andere kleuren kunnen hebben…

c’est quoi ça?!?
Depuis la dernière mise à jour TOUT deconne!!! Les interrupteurs change de pièce (et c’est carrément impossible de les remettre dans leur pièce d’origine) et les lumières decident tout seul de changer de couleur… je suis un client de Philips Hue depuis des ANNÉES, c’est quoi ce BORDEL?!?

Al een jaar lang als ik de app open crasht die na 8 seconden. Ik kan snel de lampen aandoen maar niks instellen in die seconden. Dramatisch
It’s good but…
Great app for managing my hue lights but ….it’s long. Great control for individual lights but with that comes extensive micro management for each light in a scene. It makes sense to get this level of granular detail (I don’t want less) but I feel it takes a lot of effort.

Problems with lights updating during the day
I’ve set up my app to switch between colour upon motion detected. One set of lights isn’t responding correctly when it has been up until now.

Still some loose ends such as custom Automations not allowing dynamic scenes & motion sensors still cancelling lights that have been switched on despite Do not disturb being checked.

Ganz gut, aber
warum gibt es nicht die Möglichkeit eine defekte Birne zu ersetzen ohne alle Szenen wieder einstellen zu müssen? Einfach auf die defekte Birne gehen, ersetzen und das wäre es.
Always worked for me
Have used this app for 7 years and it always has worked for me I switched from Belkin Wemo to Phillips HUE i also use the Phillips WIZ and they both work like a charm.

Handy control App but a bit finicky at times
Great lighting, limited controls.
The options are plenty for my globe. This is my third light or cone. What I do miss is the regular remote control. I am completely dependent on Bluetooth. And I can only seem to be able to control it from one device. On the globe itself, there are no controls at all. I would be happy to just have one more simple control.

So leider nicht nutzbar
10 Jahre lief mein System problemlos. Seit Wochen immer mal wieder Verbindungsprobleme gehabt mit dem Hinweis “connecting to bridge”. Seit heute funktioniert es nun gar nicht mehr. Ich kann keine einzige Lampe steuern. An der LAN-Verbindung kann es nicht liegen, die ist laut Fritzbox vorhanden. Hab gerade das ganze System zurückgesetzt. Die Bridge konnte ich problemlos verbinden. Aber seitdem: Die Meldung “Connecting to Bridge” erscheint weiterhin. Wenn ich den Switch verbinden möchte, erscheint einfach nur ein grauer Bildschirm. So ist das ganze System nicht nutzbar

Mittlere Katastrophe
Eine verwirrende undurchsichtige App. Ich suche jetzt nun wieder das Menü mit den Einstellungen der einzelnen Szenen… weg. Das schlimme ist, diese Lampe soll einem autistischen Kind mit ADHS dienen runterzukommen, die Lampe scheint dazu geeignet, aber die App verunmöglicht oft schnelles Handeln nach Bedarf des Kindes.

Zones en groepen / kamers zijn niet te combineren.. mijn woonkamer zone zet ook de zolder aan, zonder dat ik ergens overlap lijk te hebben… maak zones en kamers hiërarchisch zodat dit in te zien is, of zorg voor een matrix overzicht

Clean, Functional, and User Friendly
Really a great experience. The premade scenes are nice, they work well even with my weird set up of a wall light with 2 bulbs, a wall light with 1 bulb, and a lamp with 1 bulb. The customization per light bulb and to create a personalized theme is very responsive and user friendly. The big limitation is that you can’t group the lights, so you have to either change them all at once or one by one. It would be nice to be able to set up multiple rooms on the app so I could adjust all the lights in my office at once without changing the kitchen. If you want dynamic lighting for multiple rooms, I suspect there are easier solutions. Edit: it asked me to leave another review a few months later. I took off a star because that’s annoying app design. I reviewed it, stop asking me.

-na deze update nogsteeds een grijs scherm als ik naar de Smarthome kit settings ga. Maargoed ansich werkt HomeKit nog steeds dus het is nog geen issue, wel raar dat het na maanden nog steeds niet gefixed is. -Er zijn iPhone in de widgets om de “gaan slapen” automations te toe te voegen. Maar de widgets als target om ontwaken kun je niet kiezen… -Mis een manier om hue bridge interne klok handmatig te programmeren of de tijd van mijn dhcp timeserver op te vragen, want dit ding staat in een vakantie strandhuis zonder internet. (Wel netwerk maar zit geen internet op) Idem bij mij ouders die wonen afgelegen op een plek zonder internet daar moet je hue klok goed kunnen zetten zodat ik ze een twilight cadeau kan doen. -we gebruiken allemaal geen hue account, want ja geen internet.

Really pleased with the ongoing user friendly updates, I initially found it odd how I couldn’t see my camera in the room option but it’s become normal now to use security option. I think your products are very good. Keep up the good work.

Used to love Philips Hue - since iOS26 I’m reminded how much I hate your product every single night
Since I installed about 50 Philips Hue lights in my front and back yards, for the most part, I have really enjoyed having them and the flexibility they provide when I want to change the ambiance to the event. I have recommended the system to several friends who made the plunge to install Philips Hue in their yards. That all changed with iOS 26. Since updating to iOS26, I have come to hate Philips Hue lighting. EVERY night, between 9:30 PM ET - 10:00 PM ET, the lights have a mind of their own. The front zone goes to dim while the back just shuts off. When it doesn’t shut off, it dims. EVERY night for a half-hour! It is also very random in that half hour as to when they start to act up. It’s never at the same minute from night to night. I have deleted the Automations numerous times, to only have the behaviour repeat with the new Automations. Even when I attempt to change the scenes in the Automations, it doesn’t take until after deleting and re-creating the Automations. My apps auto-update so it’s always current. Philips Hue - like WTF? Fix this garbage! If I have to delete and re-program everything, it goes in the trash.
