Fabulous parking app
Wonderful app
You'll get trapped in garages
Booked covered parking at Denver airport. The QR code worked on entry and then threw “Invalid Scan. Not in system or active.” on the way out. The lot staff had never heard of ParkWhiz and couldn’t find my pass by pass ID, plate, or anything else. No human on the support line. The chat bot’s answer was to pay the lot again and file for a refund. So I paid $92.40 on top of the $60 I’d already given ParkWhiz, just to get my car out. Now I’m chasing a reimbursement for a service I already paid for. An app that sells you a pass the lot can’t verify isn’t saving you anything. It’s a coin flip with your car on the other side of the gate.
Vacation blessing
When you are visiting a new place and are not familiar with it, here’s no better way to find parking. Love it.
Beware the Rules
I used to really like the app. Worked like a charm but beware, if you enter the place you parked earlier than your arrival time (less than 10 minutes in my case) you will be charged the extra time at whatever the regular fees are for that lot even if you leave the lot hours before your departure time. Customers service is no help and will not refund you the difference. Also, customer service is a generous use of the word service. I’d avoid this app if you can find an alternative.
Worked great first time
I just used the ParkWhiz app for the first time, for an afternoon Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game. The last time I had tickets to an afternoon Pirates game I had to park in the Strip District, because I couldn’t find any available parking in town. I used the ParkWhiz app to prepay and reserve parking in the Gateway Center Garage, an easy walk to PNC Park. It worked great! Update: The second time I tried to use the app, it didn’t work quite as well. It had the wrong start time for the event I was attending, so I didn’t use it for fear I would not be able to enter the parking garage when I needed to.
Customer Support is excellent.
I primarily use Parkwiz in Detroit for the last 4 years. Yes as with any App it occasionally has an issue. Like 3 in 4+ years. Each time I call support and they are courteous and just solve the issue. Not once have they failed. Great company to work with.
Nightmare
Bait & Switch alert. You will pay for one thing and receive another. A different lot. Wrong location. You. Will. Be. Screwed. ZERO customer support.
No longer possible to login
After trying yo login with Apple Account, app requests phone number for code and then app says there is a server error.
More parking
Wish there were more parking options/places for North York, Toronto area. There is just a few for now.

Don’t Bother
The discounts are generally minimal over just parking without using ParkWhiz, the pre-payment is honored by the parking operator only about 50% of the time and it takes 1.5 months to get a refund. Don’t waste your time or money.
Seaport screw-up
Booked a space in a Seaport garage in Boston , $29 plus $5 fee then the QR code wouldn’t work at the gate, had to pay $42 to get the attendant to open the gate- hassle and very expensive day for parking. Did not work for me, have applied for a refund but that process made it clear that it is unlikely that there will be a refund. This app is not reliable in Boston
Wouldn’t scan to exit parking lot
The app was great to find parking and get into the lot, however it wouldn’t scan to exit the lot. Luckily there was a help button on the parking scanner and we we eventually able to exit but it was stressful with a lineup of cars waiting behind us.

Easy to find the best parking option at the best price. Have used the app on numerous occasions and always satisfied.
This app is the worst
The system keeps crashing & the pass purchased despite being paid for never loads in the app
Customer service is horrible
App works great but when it glitches then good luck getting help. You need a refund you’ll have to go through your bank and file a claim.
App is Good. Customer Service is not.
Had a parking and payment issue. Customer service agent did not read my request properly as evidenced in her reply. I did not appreciate the person capitalizing certain words in her reply as if I was an idiot who did not understand. Response was lackluster and they are ignoring me at this point. App is good though, but because of the bad customer service I am hesitant to use it in case I ever need help again. I am fairly certain they would never assist.

Can’t log into app
Horrible app. I have never been able to log into the app. AI chat service is no help and provides the wrong solution. This app is useless. The only way to access my ticket(s) is to log into the website. Please fix your bug. What’s the point in having the app when consumers cannot use it?
Mutiple emails 1 phone number
This app has caused me excessive stress. Because I have multiple emails, but only one cell phone because my Google account happened to be logged into one of my other email account accounts when I purchased my parking I cannot view my parking ticket only through my email, but not through the app. When I tried to login with that email. I use my phone number, but it does not allow because it’s assigned to a different email. This is ridiculous. Of course it will accept payment, but not allow me to view my parking pass in the app.

No problems with the app. Works well. Easy to pay for parking at some of the smaller parking sites.
DO NOT USE THIS APP
They do not make it clear on where to find the parking spot once you pay. If you go to the wrong spot and end up getting charged twice what you paid ParkWhiz, their customer service cannot help you rectify the price discrepancy. Their customer service is fraudulent.
Search functionality has been broken
I used to love this app but sometime in the past year or so, the search functionality for a specific venue/event has been broken. For example, if I am looking for event parking for a specific show that runs several nights at a single venue, if I type the name of the show, the keyboard is in the way of the end of the search results. I will happily update this review if this gets fixed. it did not used to be this way.

Garages decline ParkWhiz
3 times now, I have paid for parking on this app and the garages have said they no longer accept ParkWhiz and I would still need to pay. I reached out to ParkWhiz and each time they took over 3 weeks to issue a refund, apologizing for being short-staffed.

This app couldn’t find the parking lot I was sitting in. You had to scan the code that’s in the parking lot.
Many issues with the app
Last 2 times I booked parking in NYC I had issues. Asked for refund and never got it. Not recommended app.

Scam Alert, don’t download or use this app. Paid $69 for a parking spot….rude and aggressive worker said “too bad” they overbooked. Happened to several cars just before us….extremely inconvenient, everyone late for the show. No easy way to get a refund. How is this even on the Apple App Store? I wish I could rate it 0 stars 😕
ParkWhiz app works on-and-off
The app did not let me extend my parking when I was within my 24-hr daily max. I only parked for 14 hours and needed to extend it by 3 more hours so I can keep playing pickleball. But the app got stuck and keeps giving me error.
Great app
I was visiting New York and I was not ready for the prices I saw. I was lucky to find this app and I saved 60 % on parking. At first I thought it was too good to be true and I was ready to never see my car again. But it’s real. Worth checking it out !
Poor
I am bound to give it a one star because there isn’t anything lower. It’s an absolute waste. It’s mandatory through work which is why a lot of us have to put up with this. The app never works. You are then asked to book the parking through website, and then that’s what is to reflect on the app. I even emailed with someone from the tech support, and they tried, but to absolutely no avail. It’s a poorly developed app with a lot of open issues. Poorly tested. If you have other options please consider them before this one.
App issues & customer service
Great app until my payment failed and now every time I try to fix the failed payment with a different card the app is giving me an error. Tried reaching out to customer service with ZERO help, they keep telling me to contact my financial institution which is not the issue because there’s plenty of money in my account. Have said multiple times there’s a bug or glitch with the app and I keep getting the run around.
