I will hesitant to use this app. I have only use this twice so far. First time use I back in 2025 for a concert, I was able to find a good parking garage with plenty of lights inside. Only 2 blocks from the concert. Second time I use this past Labor Day weekend 2026, I reserve parking at parking garage. The employee state they are gave out all of the parking spaces already and didn’t believe me that I paid for the reservations. I hope this will not be an outgoing issue because I would like to keep using this app and hopefully not keep calling customer service for a refund.
Really disappointed…usually love this app
I’ve loved SpotHero. Have used it several times to find good parking at affordable rates in Toronto. Unfortunately I recently had a very negative experience. We paid for parking like we usually do in downtown Toronto this past July. When we got back to our car we had a $98 parking ticket on our window…as did several other cars. I reached out to SpotHero right away. They said they would escalate the matter. I never did hear back from them so I reached out again. In the meantime, we received a collection letter for the $98. I had to reach out several times to SpotHero until someone finally responded. They ended up refunding us our $16 parking fee but we still have a $98 ticket to pay! This is unacceptable. We paid for parking, we parked in the right area (I took photos to show this). And we are still pity if pocket? And now none of my emails are being responded to. Really disappointed in this.
Saves you so much money
Anytime I’m going downtown in Chicago. I pulled this up because the rates on the app are drastically better. I’m talking like five times cheaper sometimes or more like for example this parking lot in downtown Chicago was charging $21 an hour and I was able to use SpotHero and get it for $14 for 3 hours.
Scam
If the QR code doesn't work even though you paid for it, you won't get your money back. Read the most recent reviews. 1 stars. In my opinion, this app is a scam. Be careful
Vehicle search is terrible
Trying to find your car make and model is horrible. It won’t find my Mercedes model. It’s a 2 year old car. No way to enter it manually. For such a prominent parking app service this is a terrible shortfall

Spot Hero always finds what I need!!
Terrible app - terrible service
I was 30 minutes late for my reservation but the garage closed early for the night and I couldn’t get in the garage. Spot hero refused to refund me. Use at your own risk. Read every word about the parking spot before booking.

Beware of Hidden Fees and Double Charging
I am furious and will never use SpotHero or Metropolis again. I pre-purchased a parking spot for the Orioles game on September 5th. The app explicitly stated the price was $27.00.Instead, I was billed $30.00 plus a completely non-transparent $1.50 service fee. On top of that, they tacked on a 20% tax calculated off the $31.50 total. What was supposed to be a straightforward $27 parking spot quickly snowballed.But it gets much worse. Checking my credit card statement, I discovered a complete nightmare: SpotHero charged me $26.50, and Metropolis slapped me with an entirely separate $37.80 charge. Getting double-billed by two different entities for a single prepaid reservation is dynamic extortion. Avoid both of these platforms at all costs unless you want your credit card compromised with surprise fees and unauthorized duplicate charges.
Need to Improve your service better
Please do not refer 128 Parking lot at 100 Wellesley st as it is not having CCTV and there are few irresponsible people. Canadian management properties are not cooperative
Easy to Use
Many locations. Easy to use mobile app. My go to for parking.
You're on your own
Almost no directions, and what little there were did not match the actual parking spot/garage. And no way to cancel if you subsequently did/could not use the spot. Uninstalling.
Batting .1000
I prefer public transit but when I have to drive to Seattle this app reduces the stress of finding a parking spot by 100%.
Never using this app again
Twice now, we’ve reserved parking through this app, paid for it, then been charged an insane price at the exit because the QR code will not scan. At this last one, we paid $6 through the app and were charged $75 at the exit, which makes this whole thing feel like a scam. How can they possibly give you a $6 rate on $75 parking?

It just never works out.
I’ve tried using this app about 2-3x to reserve parking for shows down in Seattle. Each time I have paid and booked a parking spot I arrive to find it has been taken. Super frustrating, especially when you then have to circumnavigate the city to find an open spot, and then end up paying an additional $50 for event parking. Spot Hero has refunded me only once and it’s an in app credit. The app is easy to navigate but, you’re better off just arriving early and finding reasonably priced parking instead of wasting time and being late to your event.

Hey look, I’ve never had an issue with customer support. They’re so kind and always resolve my issue. I mean not one back customer service experience and that shows great management taking care of their callers. 5 star all around. I use this app for every city I go too. I love spot hero. And I promise this is a real review. I usually don’t give reviews but they truly deserve it.

Avoid at all cost
If your arriving early and think it will work to click the arrive early button think again. Not only did I have to pay the parking garage fee to get OUT but spot hero told me because I arrived early and even though I pressed arrived early and was given a QR code to scan that it was my fault and only given a credit. Why in the world would I try again when they can’t even refund me? Just pay the parking fee in the garage don’t go through this app. Save yourself double the price!!

SpotHero has made my parking experiences 100% better with how it finds parking locations and is very reasonable. Wherever I park I feel safe and is easy to locate. I have never had a hassle with any of my parking experiences while using SpotHero.
Scam
You have to prepay to reserve your spot, but if there are any issues getting into the garage they will not refund you. I have tried to use this app twice, both times ended up having to go to another parking garage and paying for parking again. The most frustrating part is sitting at the machine in your car, scanning the QR code, and then sitting there waiting for it to let you in while traffic piles up behind you. Trying to get help on the machine itself only for them to put you into a call center queue so you call the security number for the building who also doesn't help. Do yourself a favor and just drive to a garage and take the ticket instead. This is what I'll be doing moving forward.
