I will not use them
I signed on today just to do some research about selling. Within five minutes I had a phone call from them, then a message, then their ads kept coming up on Facebook. They really jumped the gun with their aggressive approach. I would not use a company that gets in your face this way.
Photos
It will be helpful to provide a photo with details of fabric for the clothes.
Great store, Genuinely terrible app
I do a majority of my shopping on the real real, but the app is horrendous. It somehow gets worse with each update… just endless glitches. This app feels straight out of 2010 compared to every other on my phone.
Mix feelings
I really like this App but they keep canceling my orders it’s very annoying and frustrating especially when I wanted something so much.

Bug - takes up to 4+ taps on X to close item page
A recent update made closing an item view (the page on which I view a specific item) unbelievably annoying. It consistently takes 4 or more taps on the X to close the page. Normally I’d contact TRR customer service to pass along message but I’ve found they just make excuses for technical issues so I’m done with diplomatic channels. This my ticket for you fix the bug!

The shipping cost is high and the packaging is very poor.

I like the RealReal. I do. I have been buying and selling here for years. However…. You have to be very diligent when BOTH buying and selling. KNOW your item. Do you research and do not trust the written descriptions alone. When I send items in, I often have to send an email asking for a correction. Things like the hardware color on a bad will be listed as gold, when they are actually silver, or a model name will be incorrect. Sometimes, even the dimensions of something are incorrect. I had to get an exception to return an item once because the stated dimensions were wrong. This is pretty annoying. That said, you can usually get these types of issued corrected. And, I have found some nice items here. If you don’t mind having to really do your research, it may be worth it.
New update keeps crashing
Do you guys even test your updates before you roll them out? Ever since I updated the app it freezes upon opening and I have to quit it and restart. Extremely annoying. Please fix!
Glitch after glitch
The app never works anymore. I can’t save items, the heart icon has disappeared on many items. I can’t even close out of an item if I want to return to a search, the “X” has disappeared! I have to close the app and go back into my saved searches every time. Too clunky to even use anymore.
AI Authentication + search
Sorry devs but this review is more about the company and not the app itself. AI is a powerful tool but my god their product authentication process is spotty at best when people are involved but to let AI take the wheel completely? Bad move. Please remove ai from the product authentication process. PLEEEAASE!

Time to level up
I love shopping at TRR so much! But the UX on this app is falling behind other consignment websites. Just my recommendations… So many issues with articles and sizes categorized incorrectly. Would also be helpful to add additional detail such as style name (helps people find what they are specifically searching for) Please add a reverse image search similar to the Poshmark app!!! This is my favorite feature Finally, allow for Obsessions to be organized into folders! Almost every other shopping app has this

App won’t update
The app won’t update and I don’t know how to reach you guys to flag it. It’s been waiting since 5/29/26 and I trigger the UPDATE but it just goes back to list of apps that are ready to update instead of completing.
Errors Abound
Constantly listing the wrong sizes, wrong colours, styling things backwards, charging too much for shipping and return fees are very annoying. Perks for sellers aren’t enough.
Loading errors
Not sure why, but once you scroll down a little it just stops loading new items. Very frustrating.

They don’t have your back
Using TRR was different a few years ago. I trusted good customer service. My package was stolen. I lost around $800 because my package was left outside even though I gave delivery instructions. I followed TRR instructions, contacted them multiple times and nobody helped me. It’s been over a month now. If you order with them, know that they will not have your back if anything happens.
If buying in Canada be sure about your purchase
I bought 3 items from TRR and had to return one. By the time they all arrived in Canada, I had about a day’s turnaround to ship the one item back based on the store policy that you have 21 days from date SHIPPED to get the item back to the store. It took a really long time for my items to arrive (perhaps because it was around Christmas) and it cost me over $30 CAD to return that item because I expedited it (and it was bulky). HAVING SAID ALL THAT I am super happy with the 2 items I kept. I can’t buy anything like them here. I’ll buy from TRR again. They have an incredible selection.
Waste of an app
This app is below average in terms of usability and likeability. Its really no better than using the website (also mediocre). It crashes frequently and doesn’t load. Constant annoying updates feel useless.
Please contract models.
You can not see how well clothes fit if they are all on the same mannequins.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with!
I can’t believe they are still in business. They send clothes with defects, stains, rips, wrong sizes and then deny your return request.
My new obsession, but....
I am obsessed with cruising the items but placing an order is hard because sizing and measurements are often contradictory. How is a Large sized dress able to have a 24” waist and 28” hips for example. So much of the clothing thing have poor sizing details. They also need to improve their photos of dark and black clothing.
Customer service is bad
I ordered Prada leather flip-flops in men’s US 9, and they arrived about three sizes too small. The package wasn’t returnable, and it took two weeks of back-and-forth with support to resolve it. I spent 20 minutes on the phone just to get a return label, and in the end, they offered no compensation—no discount, nothing. Overall, terrible customer service
Ok, not as good as other luxury consignment apps
You can find some steals on here, but I find that they don’t show the true quality of the items in the pictures. For example a pair of boots I bought conveniently did not picture one half of them, and they arrived heavily scuffed. I also wish they were more transparent with the cost of additional duties and taxes like other apps are. If you live outside of the US then it will cost at least $100-150 more than the listed price.

Fake Items Galore
Do not buy from this app. Items frequently have fake tags or are misleadingly categorized. Items labeled as menswear are frequently actually women’s sizes, and returns are difficult or impossible. It’s easier to consign a previous purchase than to report a fake, which likely just continues the proliferation of fake items on here.
Good selection, great prices
I have purchased several dresses and shoes through the app. All come in their own dust bag and have been in great condition. Returns are easy. A few items were similar to my local designer consignment for less than 1/3 of the price. E.g. Akris dress, new with tags ($1600), for $99. Many items go on sale with a code for further discounts. It’s fun to watch for items in my size that I might wear.
The new update is terrible
The saved searches went missing, then they reappeared, and now their missing again. So unreliable and unhelpful
The Real Deal
My first venture into the world of consignment was to trust 69 of my favorite brands and pieces to them to sell. Within 3 months they’ve sold 64. The care they take in reviewing and preparing the items is first rate. I could not be happier with the process.
Terrible place to sell to
I sent some items to them to sell on my behalf. They sold the bag for $116. I received 30% which was $34.80. I only received $4.80theu charged me 2 fees of $15 each because some of the other items I sent them weren’t to their liking. So they sent back my items. And then charged me $30. Giving me only $4.80. I’ve messaged customer service and they said there’s nothing they can do

I used to like shopping on this website!
When I first started shopping TRR. It was great. Shoes,bags.etc were good deals. Brand name slightly used but in great condition and prices were reasonable. Now I find the prices are way too high. Especially being Canadian and having to pay duty and taxes on top of the price. It’s cheaper to buy the item brand new here at home than to buy it for more on TRR used. Just my opinion.

Old functionality was better
App is now laggy and I need to scroll more than before to view item details. I also miss the swipe feature to go back a screen. Also there are no more write size measurements included for watches 😑
