Fantastic
This is the first e-reader app for my iPad that actually formats books correctly. It is such a joy to read with proper margins, indentations, and subheadings. It’s so easy to use, notes and highlighting work perfectly, and there’s no ads. Highly recommend!!

Marvin replacement
I’ve been searching for a replacement for Marvin and Yomu is the best I’ve found. Not quite as elegant as Marvin and I miss the Deep View feature, but has the bonus of synching between my devices. Hopefully development will continue and elegance will eventuate

I love this app but the latest iOS update has broken it, please update! Worth 5-stars normally for sure.
Decent. Good price, but very limited
This is an EPUB first app. PDFs are so limited that they have practically 0 features. Not even basic things like text selection or search. I only read books and never annotate so this isn’t a major issue, but to not be able to search words or select text is very limiting. Despite this limited functionality with PDFs I still use it because it’s PDF function is great even with large textbooks on an old device such as mine, while many others lag while pinching an zooming. Sync is only available via iCloud and Dropbox and no other services which I find further limiting. The price is more than fair. My main issue is that it crashes on my iPad every time when I open it as it’s trying to sync. Same goes for my phone so now I am unable to even open the app. Until this major bug is fixed, I have no choice but to go back to Apple Books
Excellent book reading app with more features than the Apple Books app
Edit: a cool feature idea is when highlighting something is to allow you to delete parts of the highlight. Like when you quote parts of a text and it’s denoted by three dots…then picks up to the relevant spot. The new annotations widget is great! Exactly what I’ve been after to re-encounter my annotations I’ve made in the past. A suggestion to improve the widgets in a future release. Allow customisation of how much time each quote is present for before changing e.g. 5, 10,15, 60 minutes. That and maybe interactive gesture allowing you to move through multiple annotationsby tapping on the right side to progress through a carousel.
A terrible app on the Mac
Someone just checked the "run on macOS" checlkbox in Xcode! The text is way too small and the UI makes no sense on a desktop OS as it's obviously designed for the iPad. Lazy. Horrible
Great App - with a few quirks
First up, this app has been great with most of the features I'm after. Vertical scrolling - most important. iCloud sync across devices - you bet. But there are a few things I'd love to see that I'd think aren't huge updates to make. 1. I can't see ANYTHING listed in my icloud account. No folder labelled 'Yomu' in my iCloud Drive. Would love to manage my files in my browser rather than the Yomu app. Add books. Remove books. Bulk add. No info about this is FAQ 2. On the Mac version, the 'Cover' layout has such small covers - and you can't change the size! Hard to read the titles and info on the covers, but this is the view I like. Not so bad on iPad (tho would also like to be able to adjust the sizing there), but on Mac - soo tiny! List and Grid at least show titles - but everything is still smaller than I'd like. 3. The book/title fonts are really small. The progression info is great - but I can hardly see it on Mac OR iPad. Should be able to see this easily at a glance. Maybe different colour font than grey if size can't be altered? I can adjust the fonts of the book itself, but I can't adjust the display sizes for the cover and the titles? This should be updated. So... function is great. Compatability with different file types and different devices is great. Sync is great. Just some design/UI needs some more work.

Authors in alphabertical order.
When in the Authors mode, the App needs to be able to put authors in alphabertical order. The more books you have on the app, the longer it takes to find the author you want. I would like to be able to make folders for my favourite authors. Apart from this problem, I think the I would have given it a five out of five.
Functional but has unfortunate mandatory animations
Really good for the most part, very functional and renders nicely. But you can’t toggle page turn animations off, making it not very suitable for non-fiction (where you often need to quickly flick back-and-forth through the book)
Great eReader
Since eBooks decided to enforce cloud sync I have been having trouble with external epub files. Switched to Yomu and omg what a difference. Also no advertisements asking me to buy books. Love this app.
Yomu
This is a beautiful app. Books are displayed clearly and nicely and it's terrific that it reads the kindle formats. The note taking and highlighting features are wonderful and just what I needed. My only trouble was not being able to highlight and note in pdf books - some of my main texts are azw4 format which converts to pdf. Works perfectly on azw3 and other formats though. Great app.
Good for freebee but
Positives This is an adequate app for some ebooks, works well with pdfs. Negatives The interface is not flashy and options are limted compated to kindle and ibooks but that is to be expected I guess for freeware. Many ebooks will not open, including books i purchased such as epub - even some without DRM. I still use it though and apprecite the developers efforts.

First off, this app is what I’ll highly recommend for those who wants to import files to quickly read. I am the type that does not recommend nor leave a review but I will for the sake of readers that wants to import epub files and wants to find a good app to use quickly and conveniently. Because I personally struggled to find an app that is in my needs to read novels and quick use. So I would like to say thank you developers for creating this app as this is easy to navigate and I will probably purchase the Pro in-app to support and benefit. but as I am right now broke currently. Though it is pretty decent without the Pro since the limit is 10 book which is enough considering that I read a lot. [ I would also say my english is not very good but I hope this helps ] [i also have something to add but the customisation is actually pretty good since you can pretty much adjust it to your preference so just play around with it until its perfect to read 😌]
Excellent app that replaces Marvin
I was looking for a replacement for Marvin - a much beloved app that is no more - and found Yomu already downloaded but untested on my devices. It’s simple, it allows me to read my own books easily and it does what I need. The only downside so far is that the options links are in tiny grey print so they would be hard to read if you had eyesight issues. Apart from that I’m impressed by everything else. Yomu now saves your custom reader settings between books which is great. And I LOVE that it’s a one off payment and not a subscription model and it supports heaps of different formats - and Yomu is way better than the competition. Also yomu means ‘to read’ in Japanese which I also find cool. :) Thank you to the developer!
Suggestion: Global Preferences
This app is a great ebook reader. It is very stable, and I use it on a daily basis. However, for each ebook, I have to go through preferences and apply the same set of preferable options of my choice for every single book. Therefore, I suggest adding an option where users can apply global preferences like font, layout and other settings that can be applied to all of the ebooks. And then the current preferences to be used as an additional one where a user can overwrite the global ones for their individual ebooks of their choice.
