The Best Fitness App
I love the fat/fitness feature. It really improves my awareness about what my workout is doing and everytime it says “You are burning fat”, it lifted my mood. Over time, it conditioned me to love walking! Great for building good workout habit! Love, love, love this app.
Sync
Can’t get the app to sync with Apple Health, I does it once when you reset the app then the day after there’s no data is showing,
A general study app
It’s a good app. Generally no bother with it. Polar need to keep it in sync with content from the other apps though, for example Fitness Racing workout type is not present. This means I can’t record Hyrox training on here separately and synced workouts also are a null state / come up as “Empty”
Fails to sync with Apple Health
Happens occasionally, completely ruins the experience. I need to use Beat to get my data off the H10 when saving training data to the device. All my fitness data is with Apple Health. The H10 is as good as useless if I can’t use the data it records consistently. I’m boxing: I prefer to have just the chest strap as it’s more practical than a watch with wraps and gloves, but if I can’t rely on the device alone and need my watch anyway it renders the device useless — all because of an app bug! This needs to be fixed ASAP.
Forgets sign in.
I have just downloaded this app and every time it forgets my password details on my iPhone .Asks to press forgotten password then after rest back on. But next time have to go through same process again. Frustrating

Great app but needs a slight tweak or two
The app is great and instantly downloads your data so you can see your workout details as soon as you are done. I would make a minor change which is when you come to save your workouts the options to “save” or “delete” are on top of each other and I have a couple of time inadvertently hit “delete” and lost the whole workout. I would suggest moving the buttons further apart to avoid this error a bit more. The help section could be slightly better as well as I had a couple of issues pairing. The final thing is letting you know when the heart monitor is low on battery could be improved such as an alert showing in the app if possible. Otherwise great app and I’m very happy with polar equipment in general.
Specific ranges
I simply want to set a bpm range myself while using my H10 monitor. Why is that feature not available?
So temperamental… needs some user design
It’s so temperamental and glitchy needing multiple apps for it all to work. Polar beat is meant to sync from the memory of the H10, but it’s pot luck. You click the 3 dots in the corner and you get an apple native menu, but no cancel option to go back so you have to close the app. It just lacks thorough testing, thought and design to be a complete experience. Way more complicated than it needs to be
Brill!
Absolutely bloody bonza. Thanks all

Not working at times makes
A shame the interface isn’t as good as Polar Flow
I’ve switched to Polar Beat because my HR sensor keeps dropping out on Polar Flow. Interface is OK, though it doesn’t show quite as much current workout data (eg average HR). And you have to select your workout type each time. Also doesn’t show HR sensor battery status - shame. But at least it works!
Sinking problematic and functionality hasn’t changed for years
The app can decide that for some reason it doesn’t want to continue sinking with the hrm. The app has also not changed in years, being far surpassed by competitors. Very limited analysis of workouts.
Works but with glitches
Often requires me to sign in. There can be glitches displaying keyboard etc. Upload of data is very slow
Priceless bit of kit.
I’ve been wearing the Polar HR Belt for years now and it’s the best item I own, takes out all the guess work so you can gauge your training sessions without overtraining.
Awful
Hopeless design. The app has settings and info all over the place. I spent 10 mins trying to find battery status. Never found it. A teenager could design a better app
Near Perfect
Update 2024 Still a solid app. Those saying it won’t connect to one device but does with others haven’t gone in to the settings to allow it to sync with multiple devices… that’s literally all you have to do. I’ve used this app for years and it used to be really good. Both Beat and flow had a workload measure where it could tell you if your workout was reasonable, demanding, very demanding et cetera. Now you only see that on the beat app and only if you delete and then reinstall the app. For instance if I want to see what my workload strain of this last week of training I’d once again have to delete the app reinstate it and then for some reason it would show me. Also, the beat app only goes back like a month of data for some reason where before it’d go back to very first workout so I can compare HR and workload across my weeks/months. Any time I contact customer support all I get is an absolutely useless “this is a bug and we are trying to look into it but can’t promise that it will get fixed in the future” as though it’s just some kid with a bog standard template response for every single issue for the app. Absolute joke for a supposed high end, serious fitness brand.
Not bad. But…..,.
You need to change the colour of the high heart rate or change the colour of the red line. Red on red does not work
Good app a few annoying bits
Great and easy to use but whenever you close the app and re-open it the sport you have chosen changes to a default (for me running) causing me to often record the session incorrectly and not be able to then upload my data to other applications correctly.
Confused
There are 2 polar apps- polar flow and polar beat. I’m confused when to use which. I’ve read the blurb but it remains unclear. Please could these me amalgamated and made a wee bit more user friendly? Overall good, but could be better
Too many apps none of them work
Hr sensor keeps dropping out of all the polar apps
Erratic pairing with H10
Pairing my Polar H10 heart rate chest strap with Polar Beat is a real problem-slow, erratic, doesn’t! Strange as the H10 pairs with my Garmin 130 no problem?
Hart monitor polar
Brilliant piece of kit lets me know how much fat I’ve burnt how my harts perform during the day, also my trainer can excces the data ,range of training mods walking, running swimming, can’t praise it enough
Overrated
I thought polar was a good brand for hr monitoring with good reputation. I bought my H10 and use polar beat and synchronise to polar flow (having 2 apps is annoying too). I find the chest strap REGULARLY doesn’t synchronise with the apps. My workout is saved using the hr sensor, but my only option is to delete that workout and start another, which I’m not going to do… the data is all lost. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this app and chest strap.
Works with a Polar HRM
I swapped to this because connectivity is a bit better than my wahoo app. It’s quite clunky and old fashioned but it works. Using it free so shouldn’t complain too much ;-)
How to use with your Apple Watch
I got this to help with working in HR zones when running, through my Apple Watch. I have the H10 chest strap. It took about 10 runs, but I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out how to work it as it wouldn’t show my heart rate, or which zone I was running in ‘live’ and I had to keep looking at my iPhone to get it. The way I’ve made it work it: - Share data with Apple Health, but not heart rate (so untick this) - Start it on the Beat app from your watch as ‘Run’ - Open the app on your iPhone - Now your watch will give you your live heart rate and also point to which zone you’re working in, which is either the first or second face

The app is very slow and laggy
I’ve been using this for the four years. The app is good as a general fitness monitor. That being said, it needs vast improvement: 1. The app is very slow and lags immensely 2. There is no way to ensure the calories measured is true. It would be good to have a calibration setting on the hardware 3. The batteries drain incredibly quickly on their chest belt 4. The Bluetooth pairing is incredibly painful to use when the battery is low or replaced. 5. The UI could be vastly improved. It hasn’t changed or be improved on since I’ve been using it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love using this, great piece of equipment.
Useless
Second polar product in a row that works for a while then fails. 20 years ago a Polar product I had lasted 15 years. Wish the people who ran Polar then still worked there. Won’t waste my money again with Polar.
Overdue for an overhaul.
The app functions well but the user interface is clunky and unintuitive. One example is it doesn’t remember the types of exercise I frequently perform and lost them first. I have to search through the long list of exercises every time I want to change one. It lists more niche exercises like Nordic walking and Finnish baseball but not something popular like HIT or HIIT. The “upgrades” section had useful additional function but are presented in a poor way and not well explained. I’d be more inclined to buy more polar products if the software was invested in and redesigned. The company needs a better vision and execution. To clarify I only have a heart rate monitor I haven’t tried a watch they might work better with he software but the reviews put me off ever buying one.
Great app
I think this is a great app for training, you know exactly where you are in your training and has a lot of useful information and help if you want to know more about a particular training program
Not good
I’ve had polar hr monitors since the 1990s - back then you could get a great sensor/strap plus a watch and a neat bag. All for about £50. Now you get a sensor and strap for £100+ and good luck if you want to connect it to an app. The official app is useless. Sometimes it decides to measure my hr - mostly not. Has never been able to do so without WiFi. Polar - just go back to what you did well and make a sensor and a watch.
Good
Very good!
Hardly ever works
When it works it’s great but it keeps losing contact and is a real pair to sort out
