it has good bus map and good cooked prawns for $24 (in 2026) at the fish and chip shop at the marina

Poorly designed app
Everything’s hidden in menu structure. App mainly just opens webpages of the different activities/restaurants. No point in opening the app, just ask someone instead.

App is not reliable for latest info; No info anywhere about closed Peak track; Construction info not mentioned; Sailing yacht club closed but advertising events; Bowling advertised open but not;

Poor to useless
Trying to navigate this app is a nightmare. If you get too far into the menus, there is no way back. Your only option is to kill the app and start again. Very poor coding especially for an app that has been around so long. Unfortunately like an increasing amount of the island, it is getting old and tired.

Disappointed
After staying at the island for our honeymoon 3 years ago and once more two years ago (each time we come back home having loved it) we booked another 3 night stay for our anniversary. This time we found the island looking like it was poorly maintained. Grass overgrown, pathways with tree branches hanging so far over we had to walk through gardens to walk on the road. Then the honeymoon we stayed in was dated and the bed in the master was so lumpy and worn that we could feel the springs through the mattress when lying down. It was so bad we ended up sleeping in the second bedroom. My wife wrote a response to the email from the island asking how we enjoyed our stay, 4 weeks later not even a reply with an apology. Huge disappointment and we will be finding a new holiday destination for our anniversary. Maybe Hammo isn’t that special destination anymore.

今回、新婚旅行でハミルトン島に来ましたが、どのお店のメニューも古いもので食べたいメニューがないことがなんどもあったので、メニューの更新をしてくれると、観光客の方は便利に利用できると思います。

A great guide. I used it to find restaurants, check events, locate attractions, check ferry times, choose excursions, check the bus routes, check IGA hours, and plan my hike to Passage Peak.
Not updated
App doesn’t show all of the places to eat and has incorrect opening hours. Doesn’t appear to be updated very frequently

Difficult to find information in one place. screen does not work with an iPad and keyboard. Will not allow to be used in landscape.

Great tool, needs some tweaking
My wife and I found the Ap very useful but felt it’s mapping tool could do with the addition of a simple non interactive map that shows all of the island and its facilities, and bus routes in one go. Without a buggy, It took a couple of days to get familiar with the proximity of locations to each other. Made more difficult when not able to get hold of a buggy, despite trying 3 months in advance. Using the bus service and trying to match key locations also proved a trial. It seems the buses skip past where people would appreciate a stop. I suggest better, simpler synchronisation on mapping/transport.
Extremely slow
It is slow and cumbersome. Tried to make dinner reservations on it after the restaurant did not answer their phone after numerous tries. The reservation part did not come up or came up after a 1 minute on the resorts own WiFi. One reservation finally made with the app, did not exist even though I got a confirmation number.

Easy To Find Whatever You Need
I love using the HI App. It’s so easy to use and has everything you need to know about Hamo. From booking restaurants, viewing menus to booking trips to the reef - how easy is that. Love that everything you need is in the on spot.
Marina Tavern
Poor service from the bistro and bar staff.. no comprehend. The food serving size for the price is a rip-off. I ordered smokey chicken wings $20 + eft. They bought out 3 scungy little wings. They dont clean up the plates of ppl that have left, so customers have to put up with the birds swarming around our meals, upending plates, cutlery. I really hope they adequately sterilise everything between customers.
Up with the times.
This app is easy to use, covers all your needs and helps you plan your day. The what's happening section with links to a map is fantastic. I use the weather section regularly too. 😎

This App has been helpful to find out what’s going on at Hamo, helps book restaurants for food and plan the day and links many local businesses in one place.
Disappointment
Is quite disappointing to don’t get the right information from the staff, people who suppose to know what they are saying, they are lovely and kind workers looking to tired though. Regarding the app is just so useless as it is because is redirecting the guest to a website which is, as long as I’ve used it, ALWAYS experiencing issues. We’d love to hear back from someone in charge to be responsible from the issues whether problems and good things as well. This is promoted as luxurious escape which is honestly far to be.

Great but unless I'm using incorrectly can't expand page for Mini Ipad - obviously for IPhones. BUT has everything you need .

Very hard to use app map. So complicated. You can’t tell at a glance where everything is. You have to select each balloon to see what each they are.
