The fact that this app is made for viewing photos, but I can't actually move forwards and backwards through fullscreen photos, fills me with such frustration! Also - no matter what I do on IOS - this app will NOT show notification badges. Also looking at other reviews and the developer has said to use the desktop browser instead in response to complaints!?! Come ON
Broken App
Can you PLEASE fix your app? It’s been like two weeks since the app would just give a white screen. I have school starting soon and I don’t want to have to log in to the website every time. Please fix it.

Dreadful app
This is the worst app I have ever used in my entire existence. The worst part is they make us use it, I can’t do my normal school life without it. I can’t even sign in. Idk why our schools would use it when it literally has a 1.7 star rating. I’m sick and tired of this poor excuse of an educational app. Do better edsby do better.
Can’t log in
I randomly cannot go in into my edsby account and the district I go to is the greater Essex county district school board and when I try to log in from student and staff login, it said that “ Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.” But how can I fix this issue?
Needs dark mode compatibility
Unlike the majority of other reviews, this one is not about the glitches in this app (though I agree there are plenty of these). I ask only this, please create a dark mode version of your app icon, and please make the app start up in dark mode if the app is set to dark mode. The whole reason I use dark mode is because I don’t like bright app interfaces, but if the app takes a moment to become dark, then that defeats the purpose.
Could be better
Would prefer if there was an option to receive pop up notifications through the mobile app; either for messages or assignments that are almost due. Currently, I only see notifs through my email. Otherwise, it works well enough.

Laggy and bad ui
The app is very laggy and the ui is terrible. The corners should be more rounded and it’s hard to use. Please round the corners and fix the bugs

This app is very helpful and I wish I had somthing like this in elementary school this is a very helpful tool and I am enjoying using it
Logs me out randomly
Always logs me out randomly every so often. I never have the username and password either because it’s so picky with what can be the username. So if I need to check something important, and I’m logged out. I’m hooped. No other app randomly logs you out every month or so. Stupid
Not bad, not great
The app is not amazing; however, it is not worth only 1.7 stars. The app does its job perfectly fine—nothing too good or over my expectations, but nothing absolutely awful either. The app is very overhated, and I actually love it and find it easy to use. The only problem that I have with this app is that it is hard to see where your report cards/progress reports are and to see your class members/teachers. Other than that, I enjoy it overall. I would recommend this app to a friend. Please fix this issue to earn 5 stars from me.

Edabt never gave me notifications and therefore lead to me being behind in so many of my assignments especially in quarantine

Glitchy Galore
Edsby and the apps are always super glitchy. Not sure why they can never troubleshoot. Perhaps from going too big, too fast and can’t keep up. I have a lot of patience with new technology and as a teacher, but even making assignments under content is glitchy. For example, when editing a title, the assignment disappears after saving. I wish we would go back to D2L LMS. I get discourage from updating and building online courses with EDSBY. Not teacher friendly for using. However, I do like it as a communication tool and that’s it.
Dissatisfied
This app gets 2 stars. I can’t use any function!!! I have tried everything I could possibly think of, and nothing will work. I am a student, and need this for school.

Terrible App!
I really do not like Edsby. It is slow, hard to use, and makes school work feel more confusing. The app is full of buttons and menus that are not easy to understand. Sometimes it takes too long to find important information like homework and grades. The design looks old and boring. Notifications can be annoying, and the app does not always make it clear what needs to be done. Using Edsby feels like extra work instead of something that helps students stay organized. I would not recommend this app unless it becomes much easier and faster to use.

School please stray away from this app. it doesn’t load half of my grades and it never loads. it’s very frustrating to ask each teacher what i got after every assignment and test. i’m going into grade 10 so this is extremely stressful and unnecessary
This app really needs improvement
GUI is acceptable, although much worse than apps like remind, edmodo, etc. There many decent functions that allows students, teachers and parents to connect better. However, these functions doesn’t work properly! 1. I can’t view the image in the chat properly. 2. Replies can’t be deleted. 3. Notification symbol shows even there is no new message. 4. Number on the notification symbol doesn’t correspond to actual number of new notifications. 5. Attachments don’t get uploaded properly And Even more...... Overall, the app runs at a unbearably slow speed and consumes more battery.
Needs an Overhaul
There has got to be a better solution for schools to communicate with families. This app is clumsy and difficult to navigate. I get so many notifications every day that I miss the important ones. Grades are difficult to read/understand. Report cards are not in an easy to read format. Submitting absences should be so straight forward but selecting the times is so frustrating! It is super annoying to receive email notifications about new posts that you can’t even read within the email - you have to go to the app to see anything. Clicking on the email doesn’t even open the app it makes you sign in via a browser. At least 95% of people are managing their family’s lives on a mobile device and this mobile app needs a complete overhaul. How so many schools chose this is beyond me. Then again, common sense is lacking a lot in public schools these days.
