Austin Bank, I’ve been banking with you all for over 20 years. I’ve had auto loans and personal loans and borrowed money to fix up our home. I want to provide some constructive feedback. Austin Bank’s mobile device experience is well behind what it should be for 2026. Your app is dated and could us a refresh. More times than I can count, I can’t even sign into the app. In this day and age we should be able to add our debit cards to our mobile phones wallet. Yet Auston Bank does not allow that. Ridiculous !! As a long time and loyal Austin Bank customer I really hope you consider joining the current trend and offer more services for your customers. I hope my feedback was honest and allowed for a more honest conversation within the company. Wishing you all the best !!

Horrible app!!
We have regretfully tried Austin Bank for our new LLC. Their app is an absolute nightmare. You will never know how much is due if you have a loan or LOC, unless you can login from a desktop computer. Even then, a password reset will be necessary every. single. time you login. You will need to call your banker with every payment, and make sure your payment was properly applied. It will NOT be properly applied (to interest & principle) unless you do this every single time. They will charge you a late fee if it is not properly applied, and it will be placed on your credit as late. Seriously!! I highly recommend Altra FCU, Bank Of America, and Vera Bank. Their apps are so customer friendly. Everything is what you would expect from a banking app. There are no surprises! I do not recommend Austin Bank!! I’ve jumped through my last hoop trying to make a payment correctly with them.
Does the job but needs updated
While yes this app does the job, it needs to be updated. The layout of the app is old and needs a new look. The banking app has issues connecting to Zelle and does not connect to Apple wallet or anything like that. Not only those two problems there is glitches within the app. It might not be the apps fault, but when ordering things it will show me the wrong amount in my account. I have overdraft protection, but it caused me to be in the negative. I’m a young adult so I don’t have the best income. Luckily I got more money in my account now so I’m no longer $20 in the negative, but it showed I had $60 when I only had $8.50. That caused me to spend more than I had so when it glitched back the next day I was just tired of the glitch happening multiple times.
Have to log in twice
Every time I log. I get a message that the app doesn’t recognize me. I have to hit ok then log in. Also the app is so elementary. Other banks have programs to save for Christmas funds that are automatically deducted. We need that. The alerts also don’t work as the should in every account.
App unreliable
Works pretty good for awhile, then suddenly makes me try to login twice. Usually the 2nd time I get app to work. However, 3/1/2024 app didn’t work for me, most of the day. I think Austin Bank ought to be more concerned about their app working instead of wasting money on a new logo!

Idk how hard it is to make a properly functioning app but this one ain’t it I can count on one hand how many time this terrible app has worked with out issue
Convenient for most things
I love this app. It has the instant balance feature which I can’t say I’ve used very much because of how quickly I can log in with Face ID. I especially love the card alerts so I can know any time my card is used and determine asap if my card has been compromised. One improvement I would recommend is the ability to view all my statements from the app. It is more of a hassle to have to login on the webpage to find all my statements.
Could be better
Only thing I would like to see is where I could pay extra on the principal in the app and I would give 5 stars
Constantly not working
There’s always something going on with this app. It rarely works. I wish it would be fixed permanently to make it easier to use consistently. It’s down 2-3 times per week and frustrating to use.
Overall Experience
My overall experience with this app hasn’t been great. Every so often I will receive a message stating the app is having technical difficulties. The app has been convenient at times, however all the bugs and issues with logging in and having to set my quick balance on has become a nuisance. If Austin Bank truly cares about their customers, they should begin with having a better app for convenience. Do better.
Buggy
Every so often, the face recognize feature turns off and I have to go through my security question and turn it back on. Minor 1st world problem annoyance. it’s done this many times over the last year or two.
Can’t open the app
I initially could not open the app. It did not give me an option to update it. Just closed out. After coming to the App Store to figure it out, I saw it needed an update. Very weird

Face recognition
Does not work. Turn it on n it turns itself off. Goes back to pw. Will not stay on facial recognition.

The app it’s great and work most of the time I will say 9/10. I would love for the app and the bank to work with zelle and have zelle already install with the app, will make life more easy for some of us :)
Authentication error
I get the same authentication error literally every single time I log in. I never log in on the first try because of the error. It’s been present since I got the app several years ago. I don’t understand how there hasn’t been a fix for this…
Need lots of improvement!
I’ve been with Austin Bank since February.(Left BofA after almost 30 years).That another nightmare story for another time.Love the bank... hate their app.... reliability isn’t even there, seems like ever other day they are having issues with the app. I end up using the online(slower and uses more data) more that the smart phone app. Just disappointing ,overall I like the basics of the app.... but the reliability really needs a whole lot more work.
Fingerprint sensor problems
The lasted update on my iPhone 6s + Made the fingerprint login stop working. When it’s fixed I will update this review.

Been banking for years with Austin bank and we still can’t get Apple Pay or even Zelle. We need to step it up.

Only supports iOS 11 or newer
I love my old iPhone but it doesn't support any iOS past 10.3.3. The Austin Bank app only supports iOS 11 and above. I shouldn't have to buy a new phone just for an app. MAKE THE OLDER VERSION OF THIS APP AVAILABLE, AUSTIN BANK!!! Please!

App quits as soon as I open it

it’s worked once since i’ve gotten it. every other time either the app doesn’t load onto the next screen (shows austin bank) or it shows technical difficulties when i try to log in. i can’t check my how much i have in my bank anymore. please fix your app.
