Forced tracking across all apps v4.6.5
I just re-downloaded the CNA app and as part of the installation am being forced to accept tracking across all apps. This is an optional feature in all other apps I’ve downloaded with PDPA and digital privacy being such a prominent issue these days. There is no other button to “decline” or “skip” - you cannot install the current v4.6.5 without allowing the app to track all your activity on your device. How is this possible?!

Uncontrolled Ads Scrolling
I could understand the need for ads, but they keep scrolling up and make reading impossible.
Unreadable at times due to bugs
The page automatically loads to another section while reading on iPhone. I suspect due to the ads loading in the background. Once that happens it becomes impossible to read an article as the page continually keeps refreshing whenever you try to navigate down an article. This problem has persists for many months. Hope it gets fixed soon. Otherwise, news content is pretty good especially when compared to the other local news agencies.

Annoying ads
It has been years and the ads are still affecting my news reading while scrolling the article. Please do something already!
Article will auto scroll to bottom
This has been my number 1 go to app for news and I love it. One frustrating aspect is when reading some articles, it will auto scroll to the bottom of the article, and when I tried to scroll it back up, this kept happening again. This is random but when it happens, it’s impossible to read the article and I will have to search the article on web to read it instead. Please fix this.
New version 4.6.4 not capable of landscape mode on iPads?
Not sure if it is deliberate or just a bug but the new version 4.6.4 is not capable of landscape mode on iPads. Please enable landscape mode for iPads.
Subtitles
Please ensure the subtitles on the videos are accurate.
Ads make articles teleport up and down. Unreadable.
It’s infuriating to read articles as the page teleports around. Entire paragraphs are skipped, and cannot be read. You were 1/3 through the article, suddenly you’re at the end. Touch the screen a little, now you’re teleported to the start again. There’s a chunk of paragraphs you could not scroll to no matter how careful you were. Reading is impossible. This problem has been there since 2024 till 2026 so I’ve given up on CNA ever fixing or caring about it. The issue is so bad, even on an iPhone 17 Pro.
Too much notifications
Used to be 5 stars but there is an increased notifications about news irrelevant to me. No way to customise these in the app and end up turning off notifications overall.
Horrendous ads
I have to reiterate that the reading experience in the iOS app is absolutely horrendous. When an ad appears, the article immediately scrolls down a few paragraphs and it’s very difficult to retrieve the position in the article that you were in… I already reported this bug 6 months, why can’t you guy implement a fix?!
Page jumps to the ads
Hi. I enjoy reading news on the CNA app but recently, while in the middle of reading an article, the page would jump to the ads. It would keep doing so even after the ads load so it becomes almost impossible to read the article. I understand the importance of ads to sustain CNA but this is just gonna push readers away. Hope you can correct this. Thanks.
Bloated
Bloated with so much advertisements that it is hard to read the news. Can’t scroll properly as the app keeps jumping to advertisements.
UI
I think it’s a lot better then the previous version, UI is more functional and focus for article consumption but ads (less jumpy) is still a nuisance while reading. Lightweight is lacks contrast and consistency of use, therefore it does not do a good job in communicating hierarchy well. Typography baseline, line height and kerning is a bit of a mess, affecting reading rhythm.
Article layout keeps shifting!
I read CNA everyday and instead of improving, the UI has become worse. Halfway through reading any article, the layout shifts as ads/pictures load and I end up at the bottom. Worse, when o try to scroll up, it keeps pushing me back to the bottom. I’ve given up reading so many times coz of that. If ST and other news apps don’t have such issues, why does CNA?
Reel videos out of order
The reel video clips does not stop even though the app is swiped off. There’s a bug. FYI.
Fonts very small
Fonts still appear small even at maximum font size setting in the app. Not everyone is young and has great eyesight. Please increase the font size at the “maximum” setting. Thank you.
Can’t get news, ads keep coming out
I want to read news. But the ads keep crowding out the news.

After last update, news widget mostly blank not showing any news
Font size on main page too small
Previous feedbacks were not considered at all. Changing the setting for fonts does not affect the font size in the main page. Please be considerate for older people!
UI not very thought through, much to be improved!
I’ve been reading news on this app for years, and it finally bugged me enough to give a feedback. Pls design your UI for readability, not for ads. 1. When reading an article, I don’t appreciate that the article jumps about while ads are being refreshed (sometimes every 2s). Many time I got lost where I am on the article and I just gave up reading. 2. Pls sync up your news listening to Apple’s AirPod controls, only way to change controls is still on-screen

One job only
As a national news channel you have one job - to convey factual news seamlessly. The app scrolling doesn’t work very well every time it encounters an ad. It jumps and I have no idea where to continue reading.
Article keeps skipping
It’s horribly difficult to read anything on this app. The article keeps skipping whenever an ad tries to load and I have to scroll up again to search the part of the article I was reading earlier. It gets really really irritating that I simply stop reading.
Impossible to scroll
The ads issues are still not fixed. Makes it impossible to scroll and read, even with latest update. Basically as I scroll and read, it will bring me to the end repeatedly as the ads refresh.

the app logs me out EVERY time i open it and it reset my entire account. All my bookmarks and displays are gone

The app is terrible on iphone 13. The loading of ads cause the screen to keep jumping around and i cannot read the newspaper properly making me scroll up and down just to read the news.
