Uploading high-resolution media or scanning documents directly into folders works smoothly without unnecessary friction. Integration with the Files app makes it exceptionally versatile for daily mobile workflows. AI button isn’t optional
I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist - I often need visuals to help children with their speech and language. I’ve been using Google Drive for this since 2020. It was working great until they added the “Ask Gemini” button. That darn button gets in the way of the visuals and distracts the kids. At least once a day when I ask a kid a question like, “what are these characters feeling?” a kid will say, “I don’t know - let’s ask Gemini.” It’s not just distracting, but encouraging reliance on unreliable technology and discouraging critical thinking. There’s no option to turn off the dang button so I’m stuck tapping the screen repeatedly to get it to go away or deal with kids being distracted. I’m moving all my files to my Apple folders since there is no distracting AI button there.

I think Google Drive is a great app. It stores everything like files, and it stores it.

Cant download a folder.. file by file it very time consuming
iOS version of Drive should be able to interpret Windows .url link files
This should be a simple bit of programming that would greatly enhance cross-platform interoperability between Windows and iOS
Really reliable and extremely easy and important for me!!!
This app is awesome.
Downfall of Google Drive is a big loss for us all
Sad to see a clear industry leader turn these produce into ai slop.

No features to help organize but it is free
I’m not a fan of Google pictures or Google Drive because there’s nothing to help you organize. There’s no duplicate finder. There’s no way to filter to find the things that you want quickly. Drive is also confusing because it has two locations for things for instance, when you download something, it pops up and downloads, but also sometimes in your attachments. Overall, I’m not a big fan of cloud google

Good for storing images and docs and slides files
It’s a good app, but sometimes it can be frustrating. Uploading takes long and organizing can be hard but I like this app overall. It’s also really good for if you want to store an image or a video in something else other than your photos app. (I didn’t rate it 5 stars because it’s kind if confusing, there’s this thing called “Computers”, and I have a computer that I’ve uploaded stuff on, but overall it’s fine.)
