So predatory
This app tries to immediately upload my whole desktop into OneDrive, instantly filling up my storage and there is no clear setting to turn this off. Now it wants me to pay for more storage even tho I don’t want my whole damn pc backed up, just certain files. Now I have to clear my one drive, which they have no easy option for.
Subscribed
I removed one star. I love having my documents, photos and music at my fingertips. What I DON’T like is that every time I open OneDrive, a message pops up telling me to resubscribe when I’m already subscribed! Microsoft does nothing to fix this either.
The new “Navigation” function is terrible!
I have used OneDrive for years, and it was great. I could have Word and OneDrive open at the same time and search one while working on something in the other app. But the 2026 “update” to OneDrive is terrible! When I am in a Word doc on OneDrive, I cannot see any of the footnotes. I have to open up the doc in word (but I am already working on a different doc!) to see if the footnote has the info I am looking for. Also, the search function is erratic: I search for a word (in a Word doc in OneDrive), and I cannot get the cursor to navigate down to the word so that I can copy and paste it if necessary. (It is helpful to see the word in context but that is useless if I cannot navigate to the word to copy and paste the phrase…)
Poor searching and constantly closing
I want to search within a folder, not within the entire universe of file saved. Some updates the search feature works. This one very much does not. Plus every time I flip to a different screen to look at an incoming text message or something like that, when I go back to OneDrive, it has closed the file I had open and I have to start over at the main explorer page.
Good app
So I have got a 1TB OneDrive subscription and according to my OneDrive storage it’s only taken up 2% of storage love this and that if I do reset my pc I can keep a lot of stuff and remove the stuff I do not want
Old app better
This new app trying to look fancy does not allow you to track what is being uploaded. The older versions of the app was more transparent on what was going into the cloud, especially photos.

Used to be great.
Almost every exposure I've had to this app in the last two years is me opening it to look for a recent file, discovering it hasn't synced, failing to make it sync, and giving up. Files that show up on the web interface instantly take days to weeks to show up in this app. I simply don't understand. 😞
Slows me down
The app is not stable, I open it find the files I need then sometimes says loading after a short time and takes me back to the start so I have to find the files I need again!? Why not just do whatever it is when I open the app for the first time!?

Faulty
Not a single file shows up on the app unless I make it "available offline". The problem is im not offline. Im very much online and still not a single file shows up. If i want to access something on my phone I have to go into a web browser and log into my onedrive that way to see my files. The app used to work great, why mess with a good thing.
Almost Perfect
Wish there was a way to save “favorite” folders. Also wish we could select multiple files when sending as attachments.
Typical broken Microslop product
Every time I open the app it takes about 20 seconds to load, then presents with an offer to sign up for a subscription. Except the subscription it is offering me is the one I ALREADY HAVE, as I am a premium subscriber, yet the app cannot seem to figure that out despite signing out and back in again multiple times. Hilariously, if I look to see what plan it thinks I have, I’m listed under a “1TB free plan”, which does not exist. This behavior all started about two months ago, so it’s probably buggy code added by Copilot with no human oversight. Thanks, Microslop, for your continued efforts to make me want to stop giving you money.
Still crashes when downloading for offline
Crashes every 10-20 minutes when downloading large numbers of files for offline. (Think: 50,000 files comprising 300 GB. I have a 1 TB iPhone and ought to be able to use that storage for my own stuff if I so choose.) This has been an ongoing problem for years. Microsoft has plenty of telemetry to know about the problem and fix it, so obviously it’s not getting prioritized. Also, with the latest version, there doesn’t appear to be a way to hide the “Edit with AI” prompt when opening photos. It covers part of the image.

It’s too bad that with AI used so much in your website because it’s impossible to reach any help with AI to manage my problems. Go back to real AI (Advanced Intelligence)!
So confusing and annoying
It used to be a different app and then I had to switch to this one and it’s so horrible I hate it. Genuinely so confusing, doesn’t let me take multiple photos in a file randomly, when I save the photos they just disappear and I can’t find them so annoying

Useless
The app doesn’t even show you all your documents and files. It takes ages for a new folder you made online to appear in the app. Like, weeks long. All the Microsoft advice says is “Clear your cache, make sure the app is updated, delete and redownload the app.” Except I’d be deleting and redownloading this app daily. I have a folder from April not showing on OneDrive in August. How much more time do you need to give it to load? I’m not just deleting and redownloading the app every day.
Overall a decent app, but with one glaring fault.
It’s great for storing pictures and labeling pictures and finding pictures by all kinds of criteria. (It’s annoying that you can’t turn off the red dot that shows up every day for “on this day” photos, but that is a small nit to pick. The glaring fault is with the Files half of it. I love that all of my files are available, but they are literally unreachable. Suppose I know there’s a particular file with a particular name, but I can’t remember what folder I put it in. Search consistently brings up nothing. That’s the feature I need the most. Fix that and I will change my rating to 5 stars.
Most disgusting up in the world
For whoever just got a new pc, keep in mind to uninstall the app at the start. Otherwise you will have the most horrible experience that could happen to you. You can not stop it sync you documents once it is on. If you wanna get rid of it, good luck with that because it’s gonna take all the files you have with it.

This app has done nothing to increase the productivity. If anything it has made it far worse thanks to some absolutely basic flaws. Any software developers with some iota of common sense would have been able to fix it much before it made it to the final product.

いつも、WindowsのpcとiPhone間のデータの共有に使っており、大変重宝しております。 ただ、ここだけは改善していただきたいです ・画像が20枚までしか消せない iCloudの容量がいっぱいになってしまい、撮った画像をOneDriveに保存していますが、画像が20枚以上一気に消せません。全てとは言いませんが、せめて100枚ぐらいは一気に消せるようにして欲しいです
Personal Vault No Longer Works On iOS
I am a Microsoft 365 subscriber and have used Personal Vault on a previous version of the app, but now every time I try to open my Personal Vault, it keeps asking me to set it up and I have already done so. I have reinstalled the app multiple times and go through the setup process by verifying my Microsoft account by signing in and creating a 6-digit pin. After I close the app and try opening my Personal Vault again, it keeps asking me to set it up and create a pin which I have already done numerous times. I can still access my Personal Vault on the web, but that defeats the purpose of having the functionality in the app which appears to be broken. I will be contacting support to see about getting this issue resolved and update my review later if everything checks out.

Je suis content de payer la suite Microsoft pour toute ma famille car c’est hyper sécuritaire et très facile à utiliser mes enfants sont capables de s’en servir sans me poser de questions. J’adore la version cellulaire de one drive car ça me rends plus efficace pour partager mon travail.
I miss Lens
Truly so upset that a great app was replaced by one with fewer, lower quality features. I used to use Lens all the time to put photos from my phone together in a pdf. I now have no way to do this, because even though I can put individual photos into OneDrive, they aren’t in pdf form and I can’t put multiple into one file. There isn’t even any function to merge files, which would be significantly more annoying than the ease of Lens, but still functional. Bring Lens back. Or at least give us back the features you took away.

Photo delete only allows 20 at a time
Drives me mad - can only delete 20 photos at a time - OneDrive set to backup everything and I work in the motor trade , always taking photos , so I send 5 mins a day deleting 20 at a time !!!

It is unbelievable how well one drive works for my very small business. I can share documents and we can update them live. Tremendous!
Search broken for months
I do not believe this has a 4.7 stars, has to be bots. The search doesn’t even try to find anything. Even stuff at the root folder it can’t find.

Not great… Pros and Cons
Pros…it keeps your pictures and videos backed up even after you delete them off your phone which I like. You can also use this app on several platforms. Cons…it is soooo slowwww to download media from OneDrive and it takes sooo long to view pictures and videos compared with other services. Additionally, when I download media, it says everything was downloaded, but sometimes things are missing…maybe you have to leave the app open the whole time. When it does a supposed back up of your computer, it seems it is actually moving your files from your computer to OneDrive instead of doing an actual backup…this was not clear and they did not make this transparent. I am looking for another service to use.

Worst program OAT
Made me back up every physical file on my pc without even realizing the implications. Made my computer basically not function with lag from all the downloading. When I pause it I cannot access anything because its only in OneDrive. Will delete everything permanently if I delete it from one drive. My law school suggested one drive god knows why, now it is actively hindering me from doing my work. Save yourself the headache and do not use this.

unreliable
so many glitches and issues on this application trying to browse my files just crosses the app constantly. I have to use other methods for sharing files between my devices. The OneDrive app just does not cut it for me.
Works well most of the time
Overall works well but exports/downloads to iphone will occassionally result in the download of a previous copy of an ongoing word doc and not the current draft

Hangs since last update
Can no longer move files from one folder to another. Select one and then it goes dead and needs to close it down. With all of the OneNote problems in the last months too, you have to wonder about the alternatives out there.

Spammy and missing basic features
No way to disable “camera backup is off” spam banner in the UI. I don’t want camera backup yet I’m forced to look at this reminder that wastes 10% of the UI. Still missing basic features that have been requested forever - why can’t we favorite files and folders??

Awful on iPad
Trying to cleanup my storage ahead of uploading some additional photos and data. App crashes repeatedly and is missing basic functionality like Select All. Was going to pay for additional storage, but the terrible app put me off and I’m moving to iCloud+.
Search terrible, links don’t work
Search for file contents do not work on iOS and when copying links to the clipboard, have to click twice for it to work. Unreliable software
