Top and very practical
I have been a user of the application since last year and since the last update the application is even better! I am delighted to use it on a daily basis
Does not show anything
It doesn’t show me any free camping spots anymore in whole Australia. Some kind of bug. It worked before for me
Can’t pay for add free
Only used for a short time and appears to be great,but, some of the adds are spam. I am more than happy to pay a fee for a great app if I could get rid of adds
Missing basics
Maps difficult to navigate. No satellite views. Missing basic information important to camping such as fireplaces, animals allowed etc etc

Free camp sites used to come up on the app straight away now they don’t why ????
Bugs
Good app, but when using the filtering on map many places wont show up randomly, so sometimes you get stuck trying to make them show up
App won’t open and support don’t respond.
I downloaded the app and opened it to set up my account. I couldn’t get past the first page. I messaged the support people on the app and then emailed a few days later. Nearly a week later and still no response. Really poor customer support.
User friendly
Only just started to look at this App and it’s very easy to use. There is a lot of info on the different camp sites. Enjoying looking at the different options where to go and where to stay. Will put it into use next week on the road in the outback area of QLD and NSW.
Ever heard of an app downgrade?
Not sure what happened, but the app has just gotten so ridiculously stupid to navigate after the update. Things take forever to load. And the option to sort by self contained vs non self contained seems to be gone? Also, NONE of the directions to campsites seem to be correct. Is it just me??!
Useful app for NZ, but badly optimised.
Used this app for finding freedom campsites and holiday parks over my time in New Zealand. It’s ideal for that use. But it’s so badly optimised, at least on a 17 Pro, that it eats through battery life and causes my phone to overheat. I’d recommend ensuring you’ve got access to a charger while using this app, as it’s a fiend for it. Close it from the app drawer when you’re done too.

Difficulty Loading Campsites
You literally cannot load campsites 90% of the time. The app works once and then the next time I open the app to use it I cannot find any campsites even though I can see they exist on the CamperMate website. So annoying!!

Annoying ads
When the ads pop up you can’t close them so you have to close them so you have to close the whole app and start again
Couldn’t have found anything without it! Worked great for us.
Such a simple and informative app. We used it everywhere to find Freedom camps and paid camp sites. Highly recommend.

This WAS our favourite app for pet friendly free campsites, but recent changes to the app has made it more cumbersome and frustrating

I updated the app and it’s all changed. Hard to use and unclear to find places. I have been using the app for years. Now I will have to try another app
Inconsistency issue
We love this app so far but we hope that the information should accurate (eg Landsdowne Park Car Park Restricated Area). We searched free camping sites for any vehicle type as we were using a van. We almost came here but realized the description says must be a self-contained vehicle. We did not take any chances but just went straight to Robin Hood Bay instead.
New update sucks
Why fix something that isn’t broken? Hate having to re-download maps on every trip and the new version is much less user friendly.
Been crashing for a bit
Seems to work fine on iPhone however constantly crashing on the iPad. An update would be much appreciated.

I used this app 5 years ago to plan my entire 10 week trip around New Zealand and found some amazing hidden gems through fellow travellers leaving posts. I’ve come back to it recently to find that it crashes constantly and takes ages to load which is a real shame as I have recommended this app to so many people. Hopefully it can be fixed because the concept is so helpful and can be a real lifesaver to travellers

Perfect
Need it for freedom camping but I’m unable to purchase a big caravan so finding places for me to camp while I tiki tour was really easy for me when I used this app. However many ads and gets a little annoying/ hard to look at some areas closer
Slowly getting worse
I’ve had this app for over 3 years and quietly it has gone backwards. Performance issues with the app started creeping in and some functionality has been removed, such as being able to select low cost camp sites. However I guess this is the way of the world these days and it is a shame to see a great app go down the toilet

Why didn't you offer the choice of paying a small sum to avoid the ads? Not a subscription, just a one-off "no ads" payment?
Fantastic
This app fantastic!!! Use it all the time when travelling and we always fine a place to a picnic or a place to park up for the night. We are driving along and we are thinking let’s pull over for a stop, so we get the app out and we check the little bubble’s and we always find somewhere. 5 Stars
Can’t close app???
I just downloaded this app and literally it would not allow me close it! I kept swiping up to close and it just popped back open! I had to actually delete the app just to get it off my screen.

App not working on iPhone 12.5.7
I have to write this review because the app has stopped working after the latest update. I’m using an iPhone 6+ on 12.5.7 and according to CamperMate it’s compatible. But all I see is a blank screen & none of the buttons or icons within the app work. If I click the App Support link from the App Store CamperMate, it simply opens the App, which isn’t working!! Hence the review. Please fix it!
Display issue on iPad Pro
Heads up developer! Unable to use app running iPad Pro and latest iOS version. Can’t get off the title screen since everything is halfway off screen (pushed to the left). Looks like a fine app. Please check and update.

Great in so many ways, some irritations
Love the app, there is so much functionality to it and a must for trip planning and finding free camping spots. But why oh why must it refresh every time I need to check something in another app and then immediately come back to it? I wish it would just leave open what I was looking at!
