Fantastic App
I used Chargemap (and a Chargemap pass) for a 1,500 mile journey from the UK into (and around) France and back again. Having one card that worked on a plethora of different charging networks was a massive benefit (Bye bye range anxiety!!) I would highly recommend.
Biggest Con
Biggest Con as you have to sign up to the app, then order a pass from your phone which only works once they send a physical card in the post. Don’t expect to just be able to pull up and charge easily..
Très bonne application, mais un filtre CB serait indispensable
Application très utile, voire indispensable quand on a une voiture électrique. Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas filtrer les bornes selon le moyen de paiement. Personnellement, je n’ai pas de badge et je souhaite payer uniquement par CB. Un filtre « Paiement par carte bancaire » serait vraiment pratique !
Mon souhait Une application unique !
Pourquoi ne pas noter tous les points de charge même ceux non affiliés à votre carte . L’utilisation d’une application universelle ! En un coup d’œil nous aurions l’ensemble des informations et la version que vous avez déjà de proposer un trajet . Vous y faite figurer les prix appliqués de vos partenaires mais non ceux des autres points de charge !
Bien mais…
L’appli est assez bien faite mais il y a des défauts : Impossible de sélectionner uniquement les bornes qui prennent les cartes bleues dans le planificateur, impossible d’imposer des centres d’intérêts aux arrêts proposés par ce planificateur et surtout une commission trop grosse prise par la carte Chargemap à chaque recharge : 10% en moyenne. Enfin, il faudrait demander au planificateur de prévoir moins d’arrêts mais plus longs plutôt que d’en avoir beaucoup mais plus court. Merci !

Doesn’t work with iPhone SE
Tried several times to contact the company for help but nothing happened. Very disappointed as I wanted to set up a fairly long trip and needed to know where to charge.
Charging rates 2x 3x higher than other apps
Honestly don’t know how anyone could think that is correct to double or sometimes even triple the charging rates via this app. Have a look at the alternative charging apps and you will see the massive difference in the price
Niet compatibel
De app stuurde me in Duitsland naar een laadstation in Munster waar het contact van de laadpaal niet compatibel was met de laadkabel van mijn Capri. Dit zou echt niet mogen omdat mijn wagen gekend is en dit erg vervelend is tijdens een lange reis.

It’s okay….gotten worse
Does it generally help map out charge points yes. Main issues are charge card stopped working everywhere. Only works at 70% of chargers I’d like to charge at. Using the app is more of a chore, constant adverts for their premium service. Getting harder to find charging rates for some chargers. They appear on the map but no rate stated. Overall not fluid to use and it’s easy to get stuck somewhere in the app. I’ve found better designed apps, with more clear charge rates that work at more chargers I use.
Very useful but very flawed
This app is so unfriendly. Ignoring the times it just junked my route under construction, it is a bit of a nightmare building a route in the first place. There is no means to point at the map and add a waypoint (I know I can tap a charger and say charge here but it doesn’t add it to the route as a waypoint). The map is incomplete, in that there are locations named on the map but I cannot enter them as waypoints. The routing software adds bonkers detours for no reason at all - for someone with range anxiety or on a new route and so blindly following the suggested route this will have a negative impact. Years and years ago I used the Garmin software for planning routes and it was already way better than this. Nonetheless it is a fantastically useful app - I just hope the list of chargers and their states is accurate! We’ll find out. Hopefully the route building algorithm will improve as will the route editing experience. I’d like to see it succeed.
Recommended EV app
From the many EV nav apps I’ve tried there are only three which reliably indicate chargers enroute, and is relatively straight forward to use - Charge Map is one of these three apps.
Latest update just crashes on startup.
I wonder if these people test the Apps before letting them loose on the public? It doesn’t look like it.

Niet flexibel
Betaalde Boost. Maar Copilot werkt niet (foutmelding). Vanuit helpdesk een antwoord: update de app. Verder niets. De app was geüpdatet. Bij routebeschrijving maar 1 mogelijkheid terwijl er soms interessantere alternatieven bestaan. Bij ‘de kaart’ kan je geen laadpunten zien. Enkel als je een route opgeeft.

Wish it would link with Apple Maps. Otherwise one of my two favourite for route planning.

Very nice app but prices are all wrongs and way more expensive than the reality. Do not use the chargemap card as you will loose a lot of money

Do not go to France without this.
This saved us a lot of hassle in France. Credit cards won’t work on the chargers here, mostly. Or the ones in the Le Shuttle terminal in Kent, but this card will. Got a lot of brownie points for having this. Seriously, if you’re going to France, you do need one of these. Works where RFID cards work also.
The most expensive charging - AVOID
This is the Rost charging app ever - it is always more expensive by 20-50% when compared to other apps. As a bonus they also charge you 20 euro for an rfid card, where others send you one for free (Hello Electroverse). Seriously it's stuff like this that gets EV users bad reputation.
Good but could be better
Good app but the route planner is definitely not as accurate as ABRP. More settings regarding the EV used and how to plan the trip should help on that. There should also be a filter that only displays the favourite charge points on the map. The app currently has a heart button that just displays a list of favourite charge points that is not particularly useful. They need to be filtered and displayed on the map itself, like with ZapMap. Would also be useful to be able to filter charging locations according to how many chargers/charge points there are on site: I tend to avoid locations with only a handful of rapid chargers.
Potential is there
App seems quite good, but as I can’t see an option to change the currency to GBP for UK chargers it’s currently not of much use to me right now compared to other apps that are available. I’m also having some issues with deleting my account which is far from ideal.
Keeps crashing
Sometimes it doesn’t open, sometimes I get the message my authentication failed. Really disappointed as it’s clearly an essential app
Using Chargemap in France
Easy to use with filters to find suitable charge points during my holidays in France.
Absolute garbage! AVOID!!
Lots of charging stations shown, but information is often not accurate and the Chargemap card is highly unreliable. Also you only get one and could easily lose it. Why isn’t everything on the app so you can charge up and pay that way? Ps Charging an electric car on a long journey is a logistical nightmare, incredibly frustrating and a massive headache. I’m going back to petrol after my recent experience in France (petrol stations are very easy to find, all prices are clearly displayed, they work 99% of the time, you don’t have to register beforehand and in one minute you can add c300 miles of range. Compare that to being unable to find charging points, when you do find them they are invariably faulty, busy, you need to have registered, take an age to get started and even longer to add more than a few miles unless you pay way more than the equivalent price per mile for petrol. Great for buzzing around town, but a waste of time on long journeys) Update - some charging points now work with the app (apparently - haven’t tried it yet). Map is utter garbage - can pin stations, but no way to see them on the map. No favourites option. Absolute garbage!
Great app for Europe
This is great for France and not too bad for Spain, portugal and the UK. Wish the apple car play app had a filter so it only showed charge points with CCS.

L’app non è molto intelligente. Dovè il pulsante “prossimo punto di ricarimento piu vicino” quando sono esatamente vicino a uno che non funziona??? Ci sono troppi distrazioni nell’app. No fa bene ciò che deve fare

Doesn’t know about the Eurotunnel??
App looks very good and appears to come up with good routes most of the time….But if I try to produce a route from my home in Norfolk UK to anywhere in France it will not use the Dover ferry crossing or the Eurotunnel. Even if I then add Dover and Calais as intermediate destinations it will happily suggest that I drive to Dover from Norfolk and then drive to Portsmouth for a ferry to Caen or Cherbourg, and then drive all the way back up the French coast to Calais to continue the journey. I’m reassured though that there seems to be a good network of chargers in France for our next holiday :)
Has potential, but misses the spot
I’ve tried to like this app, but find some of it very confusing. I can’t understand the logic of presenting prices to UK drivers in the UK as Euros? Not clear what exchange rate is in use, so I can’t easily calculate how much a charge will cost. It sometimes also routes in a way I would not expect as it appears to have a preference over which chargers to use that can not be adjusted in settings. I’ll keep it installed for now and will check out updates but for now will use other apps.
Good app but lacking details for some EVs
Great app for routing. Having problems with vehicle support though. For example, the MG5 is listed but is not yet supported. This should be an easy fix.
