Easy as it gets!
After purchasing my first electric vehicle and not being able to charge at home, I have found Ionity station nearby and it has been great, I have got a membership and that brings price per charge down considerably, it is a no brainer for myself to be able charge my vehicle with Ionity.
Failed to charge
Tried to log in, previously it has worked but they wanted updates, password changes, confirmation emails. Gave up after 15 mins. Another company that’s lost control of its IT department

Routenplanung funktioniert gut. Zuletzt springt das Bild aber merkwürdig. Man kann nicht vernünftig scrollen.

Ich habe vorgestern IONITY beim Laden getestet das war aus meiner Sicht relativ teuer im vergleich zu anderen Anbietern
Aufgezwungener Passwort-Reset
IONITY zwingt zum Passwort-Reset, der allerdings nicht korrekt mit dem iOS Passwort-Manager zusammenarbeitet. (Das Passwort muss zweimal eingegeben werden, das zweite Eingabefeld kann jedoch nicht mit vom iOS-Passwortmanager ausgefüllt werden)

I’ve downloaded the app and gone through registration however it fails each and every time despite entering the correct code. Frustrating.
Nicht immer 39 Cent trotz Vertrag.
Es wird geworben mit 0,39 € pro Kilowattstunde. Wenn man dann an einzelne Ladestationen gerade an der Autobahn fährt dann kann es auch mal mehr sein und in dem Mobility Vertrag steht da drin ab 39 Cent….finde ich nicht ganz sauber und traurig.
Wird immer weiter verschlimmbessert
Ausgewähltes Fahrzeug ist ein SQ8 e-tron. Realistische Reichweite liegt bei 280 bis 330 km. Dem liegt eine Fahrerfahrung von fast 20 Monaten zugrunde! Mein Durchschnittsverbrauch liegt über alle bisherigen Fahrten bei 32kWh/100km. Das entspricht ziemlich genau einer durchschnittlichen Reichweite von 300km. In der App werden 424km voreingestellt. Ein völlig utopischer Wert! Das kann man benutzerdefiniert überschreiten. Dabei sind aber als kleinstmöglicher Wert 339km möglich. Auch das ist noch ein nur schwer erreichbarer Wert - es sei denn, man fährt mit 100km/h auf der rechten Spur der Autobahn. Viel schlimmer: Beim erneuten Start der App stehen da wieder 424km. Das führt zu einer vollkommen unrealistischen Routenplanung. Liebe App-Programmierer (m,w,d), Korrigiert das BITTE schnellstmöglich und vor allem macht die benutzerdefinierte Reichweite auch zu dem, was sie dem Namen nach sein soll. Denn unrealistische Reichweiten sind eine sehr schlechte Basis für eine gute Routen- und Ladeplanung. Und was, wenn ich zusätzlich einen Wohnanhänger ziehen will? Dann geht die Reichweite noch weiter zurück. Also macht es bitte zu einer echten Benutzerdefinition.
Include option to add actual consumption in route planning
This app is useful to identify IONITY charge points, but is nearly useless for route planning in my experience as “range” adjustment facility requires a lot of back-calculation to input consumption and always ends up being miles off. Like the IONITY network for the number of chargers and subscription, but this app lets IONITY down for route planning.

Unable to install on iPhone
Despite numerous attempts I have been unable to install on my iPhone 13. Shame as there’s a IONITY charger close to me and on my regular journeys
Questions
Have used IONITY as my primary charging partner since I got my IX3 3 years ago. Great infrastructure, easy to use and good rates on subscription. I always get an excellent range when charged to 95% (on the “guessometer” however within a mile or 2 it drops 20 or 30 miles. I don’t get this when I charge elsewhere, so is the IONITY range all kidology?

Abo für 4,99€ abgeschlossen. Preise ab 49 Cent. An der Säule 53 Cent. Direkt nebenan an der Säume eines anderen Anbieters 56 Cent ohne Abo. Das Abo lohnt sich dann erst, wenn man mehr als 200 kWh pro Monat lädt. Das entspricht etwa 1000km im Monat.

Chargers are great plenty of them & they are very quick at the place I use in Bromborough on the Wirral there is just one problem that is not really a IONITY issue the iceing that goes on there Thursday night is the worse evening as the car park is normally very busy

IONITY have created a huge network, some chargers are slightly off the main routes but easily accessible. Disappointing number of chargers don’t work and these tend to be the older, original ones, which could do with replacing. A growing trend of IONITY chargers being used as parking spaces especially if near fast food outlets (e.g. Lancaster North). Frustrating for the IONITY subscriber, perhaps the company can get its act together with the retailers and come up with a solution. Newest chargers (350kWh +) are excellent.

Bring back the old app
Old app was perfectly functionable, removing the Apple Pay button makes no sense and it makes things complicated. Connection issues when there used to be none.

wozu habe ich die Ladekarte, wenn sie an vielen Säulen nicht funktioniert. Sehr lästig bei fiesem Regen.
Best value charging network
Good simple app with best value kWh rates for longer trips I have found if using the subscription options. Nice and easy to subscribe and cancel subscriptions and app works well with setting up charging sessions when plugged in. Can be a little laggy to refresh status once charging initiated but not sure if that’s the app or poor mobile reception.
Looked good until
I tried to put a charge destination into Google map app. Instead takes to Google map web site. Could not remember log in… oh dear for god sack… please have single button to move to google or apple map APP not web version useless

It works fuss free. Others (especially fossil fuel companies pivoting to electricity….) take note! Prices fairly bonkers though

It’s a shame .. hi hopes .. good tariff.. good coverage in Europe .. helpful responsive helpline .. great route planning … BUT .. the app freezes at the payment juncture and left stranded . Told to delete and reload the app .. lets hope that works
Love the network and BMW pricing, however...
With the subscription via the BMW account, this is a great value network. Two complaints though. 1. There aren't enough of them in the UK. 3. (The biggie) WHERE IS THE CARPLAY INTEGRATION? Thanks.

This has got to be one of, if not THE BEST, EV apps. Intuitive interface and easy to use charge points. Why can’t all providers be as good?

2 rows of 3 chargers back to back, so we waited opposite one side, others were waiting opposite the other row. Helpful to designate 6 spaces as the EV charge queue .

Advertised as 350kw, didn’t get more than 50kw and took 10mins to get it to work and countless attempts through app and Apple Pay

Interesting Map
The latest version of this app (01/02/25) doesn’t show any charging stations on the map. That kind of defeats the object of having the app. There is no ‘search’ button.
Inconsistent performance
The app and the service are beyond inconsistent. One day it works perfectly and the next charging session it refuses to connect and you have to pay again to restart. On occasion the app is telling that charging is continuing although it has finished.

Hopeless app and support
Was using the app when on road trips to locate IONITY chargers. Good service I thought and decided to sign up for a subscription via the app. Followed the process but every time I tried to update address details with house name the app indicated incorrect information, so I contacted support. Support were very difficult to understand due to thickly accented English. On second call I think I was advised to delete all contact details/delete and reinstall the app. I deleted the app. Tried to reinstall the app only to be advised I needed IOS 17: phone is iPhone X, has automatic updates on, but is on IOS 16.7.11. App is gone and I have no way to reinstall or upgrade IOS. Good riddance I say. Lost my custom.

Route Planner useless
For charging at IONITY stations absolutely fine & works well. Route Planner is useless, Vehicle Database appears empty, tried several different models to check but none present, therefore won’t complete a Route Plan! Forced to use Zapmap instead!
