It was amazing to watch the performances of the pianists. Each with there individual approach to the keyboard. Overcoming their nerves, and giving the performances of their lives. Congratulations each and every one of you.

Tried multiple times to sign in but no email sent to me, tried at different times of day and nothing in spam folder either, was considering paying for Channel4+ but definitely won’t now if they can’t get the simple things right

Terrible apps keeps repeating ads that we have already seen. Any pause and restart means another set of ads, somethings back to back. Just stopped using it

Pretty much unwatchable
There are so many ad breaks that are so long that it’s virtually impossible to get absorbed in a storyline. I appreciate this is to force consumers into paying for a subscription but actually it’s making me resentful and I will therefore resist by recording tv shows and fast forwarding through the ad breaks. A great shame. I appreciate ad revenue is needed for quality content but why so many ads in each break?

The ads are way too long and I just want to watch my show but these ads keep coming and they are 4 minutes long which is way too much
Hopeless on Firestick
This application is awful running on a Firestick. Keeps crashing constantly and you either have to reboot the whole Firestick or uninstall and reinstall the application and then the issue just keeps presenting itself again. Please sort this out.
What have I watched
For god sake add on when something was broadcast. I’m Watching goggle box on demand not live and it’s a struggle to find if there’s a new episode . I frequently play one I’ve already seen

Fascinating
Far too glitchy
I accept that ad breaks are part of the deal - that’s not a problem for me: But the app is far too glitchy with them which really detracts from the experience. It regularly glitches after an ad break during a show - the screen goes black and the captions for the show continue on but nothing else. Then the only way to fix it is to stop and restart the show - and then watch another round of ads. By the time I’ve had to do that a couple of times during the same episode, I’m really regretting ever choosing to watch a Channel 4 show. That needs to be resolved for me to want to use this app.
Amazing but the ads!! Oh my days
It’s so great because I watch dance moms on it and it’s so good because no other channel or any app has it!! But Omds the ads is crazy there’s sooooo many ads and there always about 4 minutes long I really think they should cut down the ads to 30 seconds
I almost watched one of your shows
Fix your login screen, I’m not typing a password with a remote, it is 2026. QR code please. And maybe, just maybe I can be bothered using your app.
Flawed App
The TV Guide layout on this mobile app is incredibly frustrating. It completely hides whether a scheduled show is a brand-new episode or a repeat. Furthermore, the guide is completely inconsistent—some shows are clickable early while others are locked out, giving no clear indication of why. Please add clear 'New' and 'Repeat' badges to the guide tiles so users don't have to guess or look everything up on Google.

Probably designed by a 4th grader? Just slooooow. And crashes after ads quite frequently (despite paying for "no ads" - clearly management does not understand basic English...).

Focus on the screen is poor at times. But great to be able to watch Chanel 4 in Ireland .

By far the worst app to use no matter what device I use the app always has ‘connection issues’ its so glitchy I’m surprised when I actually manage to watch something ,sometimes it will lose connection considering the device is still connected which has resulted in the app losing track of where I am up to on episodes sometimes it will get stuck on ads and won’t play what I’m watching

One of the worst uk tv streaming apps
This has been mentioned by other reviewers, the app does not seem to be able to cope with pausing a show and then resuming. It either freezes or goes back to the beginning of the show. This happens frequently with on-demand streaming but pretty much 100% of the time when using “go back to the beginning” when streaming something that is currently being broadcast.

my god, 15 adverts before i even watch the show
No TV guide
The app has no TV guide showing what’s coming up for the next 24 hours or so. Only shows now and next

The Channel 4 streaming app is incredibly frustrating to use. Almost every time I pause a video and then try to play it again, the app stops working properly. The video freezes, and the only way to get it working again is to completely close and restart the app. This happens so often that it ruins the viewing experience. It’s disappointing because the content is great, but the app itself is unreliable and needs serious improvements to its playback stability.

Both the above, by far and away, the best on a comparable to any other channel.
It is not ad free
Paid up like a fool to find it’s ‘contractual obligations’ which stop C4 from being ad free. And guess which ads are shown? Other C4 shows… you can’t make this up

i payed for channel 4 + and it says no ads yet there is still ads on some videos/series what's the point of paying for a subscription so there isn't adverts and you still have to watch 30s - 1 minute adverts every 10 minutes of the video/series.

Frustrating app
Channel 4 is really let down by its app. Every time I’m watching something and it goes to the adverts, the adverts freeze and the video plays in the background with no sound or image (just the subtitles) and so I have to exit out of the player and enter back in every time there’s an advert break. This also means watching a good few minutes of adverts EVERY time! It wouldn’t surprise me if this bit wasn’t fixed on purpose to encourage people to pay extra for no adverts. Super disappointing
Picture in picture was good.
Was great whan it had option for Picture in Picture but that seems to be gone now.

The reason why it’s alright is because the ads are so annoying and they just repeat the ads every ad break also there 2-3 minutes long if you forget about the ads it’s really good because there’s loads of good shows for free so that’s why I it’s only alright
