Amazing
I love cineworld in my opinion its the best cinema there is iv been to alot of cinemas and none of them evern compare to what cineworld is it is so much better in style,graphics,better screens and better merch just its the best
They ruined it
A whole litany of policy changes to make things more awkward for us, plus an app that is much harder to navigate, it needs changing ASAP

I would have originally rated the app higher had you not needlessly updated it a couple weeks ago. It’s now wayyyyy harder to navigate and the previous version of the app was so convenient.
Cineworld cardholder
Love cineworld but frustrating that whiteley has no WiFi so can’t open the app to show my card for discounts. Also, the removal of being able to have my family who have unlimited cards added to my account so I can make our block bookings is a nightmare!! Especially when I want to book 3 seats but, having to book separately, means that we keep getting the ‘can’t leave one seat’ message. PLEASE do away with that stupid rule as the cinema is never full and it causes so many problems with the new unlimited restrictions.
Works well
Seems to work well gets over the whole UK default setting and actually picks up Dublin also better access to loyalty card scheme. Thanks.
Change it back
This app was good and easy to use now it’s harder to use and if you’re a unlimited member don’t bother trying to book with your friends or family if they also have a unlimited card , also good luck getting seats together, cineworld count your days
Not very user friendly
Very difficult to navigate. Don’t like the new layout. Cannot add friends on unlimited.
Some good new features but needs a lot of work
The old app was much better in a lot of ways but I really like the new feature to change your seats. Previously I had to cancel my booking to then rebook a different seat. This was time consuming and unnecessary. I also like that the option to add a booking to your Callander and add your ticket to Apple Pay have been reinstated. I’m an Unlimited member who almost exclusively goes solo but I can understand all the complaints about not being able to book for another Unlimited member in the same booking which is a step backwards. I use to be able to show my Cineworld gift card within the app which I am no longer able to do so this means I have to show the gift card email with the card number and pin which can be time consuming for the staff member to process. Please bring this back. I’ve also noticed when you click on a film that is released on a future date you have to scroll through the dates to find the listings, this should default to the date the film is released. With a few tweaks and old features reinstated this could be a good app again.
Must Have
Great app with all films and times listed easily. The unlimited experience is awesome and let’s you truly enjoy movies to the best.
The Cineworld App
As a cinema I have no issue but I must say the ‘updated’ app in the last month or so is the most poorly executed update to tech Iv seen, from a UX perspective it’s truly awful now

I really wish you would show the films by date as you did in the old app. It makes it easier to plan a day out to the cinema.
New update
I do not like the new format I think it’s silly and complicated when the old one was simple

Poor booking on new app
Unable to book for more than 1 unlimited member at one time on the new app. Requires all unlimited members to book separately. Far from convenient and a backwards step over the previous app.
Old Layout
Don’t get me wrong Cineworld are AMAZING. It’s just the layout of the new app. I guess you get used to it but I just think the older lay out was much more simpler and easier to navigate. Excluding that W cinema branch
rubbish
Shocking update, can’t book for other unlimited members and cineworld have ignored every complaint.
Broken for weeks
The app keeps saying that I need to update the app. When I click on’update’ it goes to the App Store and it says the app is up to date. I contacted Cineworld numerous times over the past 3 weeks and all I get is “our IT team is working on it” Pathetic.
Booking system for unlimited members
Since the new app has been rolled out, it’s been a pain to book movie tickets as an unlimited member with a friend who also is one too. Instead of being able to add their membership to the booking, we’re now having to co-ordinate where we are sitting. It’s not ideal, especially when you have two big upcoming movies this year and have to fight for tickets during pre-sale. The app is fine, but if the booking system can be reviewed, it’d be massively appreciated!

Hate everything about it. Not being able to book with my friends who have cineworld cards is the icing on the cake after already being annoyed with the rubbish cinema times/ small screens and lack of screen time for new film releases. Very close to cancelling my card after having it since 2013. Would not recommend to anyone.
Bug saying Update
There is this weird bug in the app, it says update the app while there is no update in the App Store, please fix it. Besides this, I usually enjoy the app, very easy to book tickets and add family/friends with unlimited as well.
Complicated booking process
Unlike the old app, you can no longer book tickets for other unlimited members. Now I have to coordinate with my wife to book our tickets at the same time. Not ideal for popular IMAX showings that can sell out quickly. Despite this detail, the actual booking process is a bit quicker and easier and I’m finally getting used to the new layout.
Terrible
The app is now even more unreliable than it was before, and you can’t book multiple tickets at once when going with friends. This is ridiculous considering a Cineworld membership costs nearly £20 a month. For that price, the app and booking experience should be far more reliable and user-friendly.
Declines payment
Half the time I try to book a movie the app gives an error and declines my payment. What’s the point if I can’t even book the films I want to watch?
Broken
Good app in general, but the last update broke it on iOS. It now constantly requests you to update the app when you open it.
Revert the update
Whoever signed off on this needs to be shown the door. It’s slow, laggy, and a step in the wrong direction. Honestly, mind-boggling how this was approved.
No cinema detected for Dublin
There were no cinema detected for Dublin so the booking needs to be done in website. So basically, the app is useless if you’re not in UK. I already sent a feedback but it’s still the same.
Can’t booked for other Unlimited Members
App is now harder to use, harder to see what films on are & not being able to book a friends ticket who is also an Unlimited member is an absolutely ridiculous. App’s are suppose to be made better, not worse. Definitely gone backwards in my opinion. Very poor for the customer
App dosn't work in ireland
Hi, the app is not functioning in Ireland. I'm unable to purchase tickets from the app, and the ticket that I purchased online isn’t syncing either. I hope you can fix this soon.
Awful
Put the app back to how it was. So many issue and so inconvenient and not user friendly now you cannot book unless you’re physically with your friend or on the phone to them. Which isn’t always possible. I’ve gone to the cinema less because of it.
App doesn’t work
Has worked in 3 weeks. Pages don’t load when choosing a movie. Log in page also does load. Same with cineworld website.
