Disappointing iPad experience
The iPad experience really misses the mark compared to the mobile app. It's frustrating not to have the same features and clear visibility for things like linked offset accounts on the tablet version. Hopefully, an update will bring it up to speed soon.
Needs a bit more “bank”
I get that the aim of the redesigned app is to be simple and easy to use. However it has done away with too many functions that I would expect a banking app to have and I now find I have to go back to the web site on a computer to be able to perform some functions. The biggest irritation is not being able to search beyond the last 28 transactions and being told to look at statements instead. I also find the UI too simplified, there’s only so much information a black and white interface can convey.

Still a terrible user exp and UI. And now we have a loading popup for the first time on EVERY screen you go to!! Why?? Why now??
Easy to use, clean set up
It’s an easy app to navigate, it looks clean and it’s organised, and customer service is easy to access - happy with it
Not an Upgrade
The previous version of this app handily showed a summary of the complete financial position on the home page. Now you have to click through to each account individually - an overview is not possible. So in the upgrade Bankwest took away a key means of seeing the user’s full financial picture.
Confusing recent activities on the home page
I wish it had an option in app to not show recent activity on the home page. It is confusing to see the same transaction multiple times when transferring between accounts

App crashes on open

New GUI is atrocious, your business practices are dodgy as. App needs to be simplistic & work properly. I can’t even find when my payment is due for my cc account. RUN!
Password resetting
I’ve been using Bankwest app for years. recently I’ve been unable to log into my account by using a PIN code. I have to reset my password each time I try logging in because it’s telling me I have to use my PAN number 🤷🏻♀️
Easy to use
The app is easy to use and safe. I also appreciate the security of Bankwest in quickly detecting fraud and my stolen card.
Not enough bank
Having persevered with this bare bones basic app, I still don’t have anything good to say about it. The app feels like a prototype waiting for user experience to enter the chat but guess they never got the invite. If a trustworthy app experience is for you, steer clear. What features and insights to your finances - sorry, not enough bank.
Easy app
One of the easiest bank app. But it could do with some more features, like categorising spending .🤞🏽🤞🏽
Touch ID gone?
Decent app not great and the update got rid of touch ID for logging which is silly.
Not too terrible
Updates are getting better but the most simplest necessary thing doesn’t exist. And that is, when the app is left open (I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t log out all the time!), the balances are clearly showing for all to see. Every other banking app whites it out as soon as you leave but not Bankwest. Silly really and not safe for privacy reasons.

I genuinely get jealous looking at my friends UI on commbank etc. they have 10 fold the amount of features and actual helpful ways to manage their money. “Just enough bank” more like no where near enough. horrid.
Good App. Would be great with an extra feature
Good app, easy to use. Would be great if you could easily share bsb and account number, a simple copy and paste.

Good but could be better
Good app. Wish list would be more customisable. I can only name the accounts but if we could add icons or emoji’s to differentiate accounts as at the moment they just look like a sea of letters and number. For example I would like to name an account emergency fund with an emergency icon🚑, or holiday fund with a plane plane ✈️ icon. 💥💸🪜🔨🔨🪛🔧⛓️
Great, easy to use app
Love the Bankwest app as I find it extremely accessible and easy to use.
Average app
Extremely average banking app. Have used commonwealth west pack and ing. All give much better user experience and also things to help you keep track of savings and also running tally’s in the accounts. Westpac is by far the easiest and more full of features. Will Deff be looking for another bank shortly.

I like the simplicity of the app however a few suggestions Ability to hide balance The “money” tab should be the home page The current home page with the tiles is weird and basically a less informative version of the money tab I would make the money tab the new home and replace the middle button as a pay button having it sit in the task bar as opposed to floating in the bottom right Insights like cash in and out, category spend etc would be excellent features

I can’t update the app!
Forced to update the app. In App Store Click Yes on new T&C but nothing happens. I cannot now use this app.

Ok there are lots of great and user-friendly apps about. This is just another one of those, nothing more to say, nothing to see here....
Needs Polishing But Seems Pretty Good
App could do with some polishing. Loading screens and all that. Dark mode would be nice too, very blinding at night. But at least it’s easy to use and looks nice, not ancient like all the big 4 banks. Repsonse: It’s less about the loading actually being slow, and more about the experience. When logging in for example, it opens a seperate black dialogue box showing “authenticating” and then another showing “loading”. That process is not smooth at all and quite jarring. May I suggest replacing them with a simple loading Icon/screen. It’s nice to hear you’re working on dark mode! May also add another suggestion? Can we please consider adding account numbers to the savings account so I may deposit directly into my savings account, rather than sending them to the transaction account then having to moving it over. Thanks!

An short login pin could be handy , would shorten login time and adds security to the account.
Notification that a deposit has been made
May I provide a suggestion? When a customer gets a notification has it occurred to the developers or people approving the workflow, instead of showing us the notification when clicked, how about showing us important information such as Name of person, description and amount??! Please hire me. BankWest please hire me.. seriously.
So simple to use!
I’ve been a longtime CBA customer, and recently transitioned to BW for their high interest savings accounts! Surprised by how seamless and easy the app is to use, and the virtual cards are a nice perk.
Bugs
I can’t open the app with a pin, comes up with an error mode, nor am I able to enable Face ID

There is no auto log out option in app plus log out button under account tab not so convenient All other bank app has log out button on the same page at bottom

Would not accept my first name because it is too short, update your old fashion ways and accept people don’t always have names like John and Paul.
Very handy accounts dashboard
Great being able to see all account balances at a glance. Would prefer simpler log-in process, some other financial apps allow log-in using a 4 digit code. Also credit card balance is shown as amount left I can spend up to my limit! Would prefer to see actual balance. Otherwise all good.
Pretty good, but...
Overall this app is pretty good,BUT it's missing a key security feature that comes STANDARD with other bank's apps - the ability to use TouchID! Simple function to add when writing an App, I'm disappointed as to why this is left out.
