Awesome Software
I have been struggling with moving my pictures and videos from my phone to my computer for years. Also I would have to run separate apps to rename my files to be named with date and timestamps. Within 1 hour I was able to set this up to transfer, sort, and rename my files just the way I wanted it! I’m just sorry I didn’t find this app sooner.

This app makes it so simple to transfer my videos off of my phone to free up space! I would have given it 5 stars if it handled duplicate filenames better. Currently if there’s a duplicate file name, it doesn’t add a suffix, instead it just doesn’t transfer the file and it gives no indication that it wasn’t transferred. Hopefully they fix this behaviour soon.
Doesn’t work on IOS 27
This app worked great until my recent IOS update. I tried everything and it will not find my computer. The only thing that changed was IOS. Maybe they will fix it. Who knows.

It's just okay. I have an IPhone and for some reason Apple has made it horrible to transfer photos within the most recent years (i say for some reason but we know its so you pay into icloud). My phone is a little older so it's slowing down and my storage has been full for quite sometime so I opted for this app due to reviews on reddit. I even paid for the $6 for life membership for better upload quality. I don't know if it's the app or the way Apple configures things but it simply will not transfer all of my photos. I've tried doing everything at once(around 2k photos) and then I've tried doing separate folders ranging between 50-300 photos and unfortunately I just can't get it to transfer all of them. So if you have an Iphone maybe try to free version first before paying for a membership and see if it'll transfer for you.

iPhone’s photo index impacted
Using this app I successfully synced (downloaded only) my entire 20k photo/video library to my laptop. Happy days. However, the photo app on my iphone (running iOS v26.5) lost its index which, after 24 hours on charge, wifi and hardly used for anything, has not reset. I still cannot do not get any results on photo search or have any 'people' appearing in its collection. I am sure this will be resolved (probably painfully if I have to reset and then re-apply all current settings), however if I continue to use PhotoSync in the future to add new photos to my laptop's destination, will this occur again? If this is an expected result, how long could the re-indexing take..? If this is a bug in the current PhotoSync version, potentially relating to the lastest iOS version, can it please be addressed, and in which future update. thanks

Neuste Version produziert Fehler
Wir haben PhotoSync Pro für zwei unsere Smartphones gekauft und auf dem PC installiert. Gerade wollte ich selektierte Fotos übertragen. Die Desktopversion hat sich noch schnell ein Update geholt. Und nun funktioniert es nicht mehr, dass tatsächlich die selektierten Fotos übertragen werden. Es wird einfach stur fast alles übertragen. Aber bei manchen Dateien, sagt er „error“ und selbst wenn ich nur fünf davon selektiere und den Vorgang nochmal und nochmal versuche, dann klappt es nicht. Ärgerlich genug, dass diese App nicht mit der Apple-Familienfreigabe auch für unsere Kinder nutzbar ist. Jetzt funktioniert sie auch noch bei uns Eltern nicht mehr ☹️
Saved the photos on my broken phone
Broke my phone in a skiing accident, and when my new one showed up I was unable to automatically transfer photos, this app saved YEARS worth of pictures 10/10
Lack of sorting options.
So... this app is pretty old right? It can tell you which photos and videos are already synced and which ones are new. Why is it that the only sorting options are newest first or oldest first? Why did no one at any point in development think to add a sorting option that shows unsynced first or synced first?
Autotransfer
This was working flawlessly before, however seems like auto transfer stopped working. I had trigger set to my home and WiFi, but nothing is happening when I go home. Is this due to the new ios updates?
Family sharing doesn’t work
Pro and premium license clearly shows family sharing is allowed. While you can download the app from shared family apps, it doesn’t transfer the pro license. I have tried everything and also contacted the support. It’s been a while and I haven’t received any response from the developer. While I like the app itself, it looks like a false advertising about the app license.
Checking pricing in app and not in store
Downloaded seeing the $14.99 pricing for premium lifetime. Set the app up and it looks like it could do what I want. Features I want are locked behind a paywall. That’s fine, but when I went to purchase there is no lifetime $14.99 tier just $24.99. I don’t mind paying but this seems a little deceptive. There isn’t anyway to easily report the discrepancy so a review is where I’m at. I’ll be looking for similar options.
Uploading to Google Pics and other apps
It makes it very easy to transfer the files. My iPhone was full. And I needed to free up the space. But moving pictures and movies out to other drives and Google pictures was really frustrating. This is ended my frustration. I signed up for the lifetime membership subscription.

Unethical practice
I don’t like that the app asked me to turn off subscription renewal emails under the guise of getting less email clutter. It seems like a sleezy way to get people to forget about their subscription and get charged. I don’t support businesses who do manipulative greedy stuff like this.

Automatic transfers are behind a monthly subscription (.99/mo), or an expensive single purchase ($25) not the base single purchase of Pro ($6). Not certain it’s worth it. Will report back and change if I purchase and reconsider rating.

The transfer is super easy and quick. I just started using it so will update later.
Crippleware
Past user of free version here. Developer decided to provide this as “free to try”. But the free version is absolutely useless for what the name suggests, syncing photos. Put this nonsensical paywall restriction in the first paragraph of the app’s description, please. There was a time in the past when the free app provided full resolution. I’m tired of teasers.
Quick transfer is slick
The quick transfer function works beautifully. I got bold and using PhotoSync companion set up auto transfers. That worked beautifully for a few nights and then PhotoSync companion disappeared from my pc and after several attempts and a reboot and more failed attempts I have given up and will stick with the manual quick transfer which is definitely a much quicker and easier way to transfer images. I’m not sure why I couldn’t reinstall companion, maybe I’ll revisit at another time.
Crashes upon opening
Initially started backing up photos as expected but on the second day it immediately crashes upon opening.
Useful
I use this App to load up my old iPad as a photo frame. It’s very useful but has some limitations: the companion app on the Mac has to be closed and reopened after each folder sync.
Perfection
This app might be the best app I've found within the last 5 years or so! Super, super useful! As for the timeout error yeah, I can attest to the fact that is the routers fault, usually older ones. At one location I have a modern wifi 6 and I can leave them syncing for hours yet at another point, router from 2016 and it errors within minutes.
Best option to Google Photos and Apple photos, but it still sucks
All I want is an app that can reliably back up my photos that is not Google/Apple. It shouldn’t be Rocket science. However, I just found out that this app is incapable of handling files that have the same name, so if you have one old file that has one name, and a later file that has the same name, it will not back up the new file. We have just found that we have deleted many precious photos from years ago. Thanks a lot, PhotoSync. Good riddance.
Helpful App
Syncs to my desired backup location well. App must remain open in background for auto sync to operate. Must reopen app after phone shut down or update for auto sync to work.
Not working consistently
I used to love this app and it worked like a treat. But it asked me to do an update and after that it is only working about half of the time. Same device, same PC, same network. When it fails it says the computer can’t be found, even though it found it the day before. I contacted customer support but nobody got back to me. I’m pretty close to ditching it.
Missing feature
Why can't we see more details on each photo, like the date at least? 1. Switching to thumbnail view does not help me as I loose my selection. It would be better to be able to somehow get the date&time when long tapping on the photo then either have it on viewing the photo, or even another screen I'll wait for next version. Moments view doesn't show enough photos on 1 screen. Can we set how many are shown like Apple's photos app?

Hasn’t worked in a long time
This app used to work great for transferring photos & videos from my iOS and iPadOS to my Mac OS. But for at least a year now it has not worked at all! It is as if PhotoSync just decided to not work anymore! I use iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 and my iMac is on OS Big Sur. I am tired of trying to get help from PhotoSync so I am looking for a new App. Stay away as it seems the developers have moved on and don’t care to help their users.
Decent app
I have started using it to transfer photos from one phone to another. The interface could be better. One main concern is that if I select some files to be transferred, I don’t see how many MB/GB I’m going to transfer. Depending on the file size, I may want to break my transfer to multiple sessions because of the target device space. Please look into this concern.

Box integration doesn’t work
Exactly what I require, but integration with Box doesn’t work. You sign in then you are met with a ‘page cannot be found’ error. App dev needs to update their api endpoints
Can’t get to work with VPN
Trying to backup to NAS via SMB. Won’t work if Freedome VPN turned on. So to back up photos I need to first turn off VPN … so no point shelling out for the Premium version as AutoTransfer won’t work.

Doesn’t stay connected. Have to keep force closing or restarting completely to get a connection. Come on guys, this is a paid service. It shouldn’t be this buggy. I upload from iPad to desktop by the way

Works when you type in browser address but then I downloaded the windows companion app and it is not found by my phone. There’s probably some way around it but for me to pay £21 for a lifetime licence I’d like be more confident it works seamlessly.

Does the job
This app has quite a few features for it that would make it a great alternative to a service like Google Photos with their auto-backup feature and viewing photos from an external source. Would recommend it and test it to see if it works for you use case before purchasing a subscription.
Rich features but deadly bug kills it!
I used it to test transferring Live Photos (an image file + MOV file). Initially the mov file won’t play on windows machine because codec problem, this is not PhotoSync problem. HOWEVER, if you want to save the hassle by enabling the HEVC H.256 convert option inside the configure, it will upload a zero byte MOV file instead of the actual file. So if you solely depend on it to do your backup, you could lose all your LP MOV recordings!!!
